    This is a wonderful device that allows me to see who is at the door without opening it. It also helps me keep track of who is at the door when I am gone.

    This offers such peace of mind — especially when we’re traveling. My husband also likes to scare me with it when he’s at work and I go out to check the mail — and I hear a voice behind me. :)

    When I was reviewing the products for the video doorbell he explained each one and the perks of each video doorbell I told him what I needed and he showed me the best option that met my needs

    Product is excellent. The only thing I can say we had trouble connecting to our wi fi because we were using 5g . Once we figured that out it’s been great ever since

    After researching many brands, I decided to go with the wireless Arlo. So glad I did, as it performs quite well & gives us that piece of mind we were so desperately looking for.

    This doesn't work if you have it on one phone already as you're notification device. We have Arlo's at another home and the one set is on 1 of our phones, and now the other set needs to be on the other phones which stinks.

    Won’t work after 4 months

    After almost 4 months of use, the camera will not hold a charge. I’m sure it is a faulty camera but it is no longer returnable. Very disappointing and a waste of money. I everything about this camera except that it won’t charge.

    Absolutely poor performance. If you trey to talk to a visitor there is a ten to fifteen second delay for your conversation. The advisor from Best Buy should have been aware and warned us to make another purchase . Not happy with Best Buy or or Arlo!

    Slow to connect to live feed, even on a high tech wifi… the app is intuitive Buy does not make up for how slow it is to launch into live feed… I got shot, in the stomach, at my front door due to losing patience waiting for the live feed to populate…

    Great Video Doorbell

    This doorbell has a great speaker so two way audio works great. It connected to the legacy Arlo equipment I had and the package notification works great. Ultimately an awesome product.

    The Arlo Essential Video Doorbell Wire-Free, is an awesome doorbell cam from a well established company in this market. It has a nice semi slim design along with a flat or slanted mounting option enables you to install this unit along the door trim. This unit provides the flexibility for either hardwired or wireless installation. Installation is a breeze and there really isn't much too it. Install the Arlo app to follow the installation step, including mounting as this information is not readily available out of the box. The video and audio quality of this unit is stellar and gives plenty of range to cover your full door step. I have found the notifications of motion or doorbell ring to be quite adequate allowing you to view or speak with someone at your door through the mobile app. I have seen other products that have too much of a delay to bring up the view to making this feature horrendous, but so far Alro seems up to speed. I would say that lens is more zoomed in than other product which gives good visibility to faces at your door, which is a plus. So far this unit has been able to survive the Minnesota cold with no issues. The app gives you some customizations with activity zones to help eliminate false alerts. If there is one grudge I have with this unit is that Arlo decided to release the this new doorbell model without integration support with existing hardware, such as the Arlo Hub. This is a big deal to me because I have multiple Arlo products in which the Hub allows you to store all activity locally versus subscribing to a service. So this forces you to pay for their subscription plan. Without the plan, you can still get alerts and view live activity, but no history. Really unfortunate as other Arlo "Essential" products have this support and I would have assumed this camera would as well. So buyer beware. If that is not an issue for you, this is a great doorbell camera and it does the job well.

    Highest rated video doorbell by CNET. Doesn't seem to respond any better or differently than the other doorbells out there. Not very good at identifying vehicle vs person vs animal. Down to 25% charge after just 1 month - but average nighttime temperature below freezing so probably better not winter time. Doesn't come with chime so phone must be nearby. All in all - just another video doorbell.

    Very pleased with this purchase...the camera is an extra layer of security and peace of mind. Bonus, to allow you to talk with person and you don't even have to be home to do so.

    Not worth. After you buy they start to send you subscriptions notifications and then, one day, just don’t work anymore , so, you paid more then a 100 for something that work for 60 days only , ridiculous
