Waste of money. Worked at first but product would not close, had to tape. Company kept sending messages to Subscribe even though product description says you do not need it. Finally product video stopped but doorbell worked, now doorbell won't work. No real support.

Pretty cool wireless doorbell . Only thing that sucks is that You have to pay after 3 months you have to pay .

I’ve always wanted a video doorbell! I couldn’t get the wired version due to the fact my chime box was to weak. This product came right on time! I am really enjoying it!

I really wanted this to be better. I bought a separate base to try and increase the range, but continually run into video quality errors. For comparison, I have the hard-wire version and have zero issues. Of course, I realize that this one can be hardwired, but that's not an option in this case.

I did not get any support to how to use it for a 5G Network they suck and I wasted my money

This Arlo doorbell camera really provides a great range of sight. It’s phone alert is a plus because you are informed that someone is at your door from anywhere.

A wired version was installed instead. The wire-free device is to be returned to Best Buy.

the guys were very helpfull, installed, setup and showed me how to use the app on my phone. Anwered all my questions and were very polite.

Very satisfied with door bell has pleasant ring tone not loud at all.would recommend this very affordable product.

The product allows viewing of activity at and around my front door thereby providing added security.

Got Arlo because of ratings and size. Set up was easy. Pairings to phone and Alexa were a snap. View range and clarity are excellent. I am impressed.

Just what I needed. I only have one suggestion. Make it capable with Apple Home like the rest of the Arlo products I own please, and thank you!

Great doorbell and my only gripe is that it doesn’t support HomeKit.

Overall this is pretty good. Wish it would last longer in battery life.

I love all my Arlo cameras and so glad they have the wireless doorbell. It’s so worth the extra to not have to worry about wiring it.

Bottom Line: The Arlo Essential Video Doorbell Wire-free is a solid product that delivers all of its features. Pros: easy installation; good video quality; solid motion / object detection and alert system; included three month subscription to Arlo Smart. Cons: 3 month Arlo Smart trial began immediately for me upon setup; can’t seem to disable recording on audio. Review: Setup was straightforward and simple: charge the removable battery, download the app, create an Arlo account, and connect the doorbell (the camera on the doorbell scans a code on your phone). The app then guides you through proper placement of the doorbell outside. Since I wasn’t connecting a wired door chime, this was was as easy as installing the mounting plate with two screws. The lens produces good picture/video quality (both day and night vision), although the wide angle means you will get some fish-eye distortion on the sides of the image. Motion detection works well, and you can customize the activity zones on the app to filter out unwanted areas of view. The camera can also detect objects, and my dog is identified as a pet when he comes into view of the camera (versus when a person is at the door). Clips are easy to review with the included 3 month trial of Arlo Smart. I can’t speak to battery life yet (I’ve only had it installed a week), but I suspect I’ll get a month or more out of normal usage. Of course results will vary depending on how often you live stream and/or record. One minor issue was that my 3 month free trial to Arlo Smart seems to have begun as soon as I set up the account and connected the doorbell to the app. I would have preferred to have been able to activate the trial subscription and other features manually. The biggest issue I have with the Arlo Wireless doorbell is that it seems to record when it detects motion OR audio, and there does not seem to be a way to disable audio detection. This is somewhat problematic for me, given that I live in a townhouse with a shared porch with neighbors who are fairly noisy and in and out of the front door regularly. I have my motion zones set only to my side of the porch, but recording still seems to trigger on audio. My current workaround is to disable alerts when I’m home, although I would rather have it armed all of the time.

Love that I can know see who’s at my door at the ease of looking at my phone!
