The videos captured are clear and you are able to take still shots, zoom in... etc.... The sensitivity is sketchy. I can get a car driving past my house, but not into my driveway. I can get a car leaving my driveway, but the delay captures the vehicle when it is all ready in the street.

This doorbell is very easy to set up and monitor. Arlo camera's in general have made my family feel safer knowing our property is monitored 24/7. The battery life is great and there is an option to hardwire power off the existing doorbell wires. I am satisfied with this product and would recommend to anyone looking for added security.

Absolutely unhappy. Bought this a gift for my mom since she lives alone and this has been a huge let down. The battery dies every other day...

device will not pare, could not get help from Best Buy or Arlo

I love my addition of the Arlo video doorbell!! It took my husband about 45 minutes to install and connect to our WiFi. We replaced a basic doorbell which he said was 1900 technology..hahaha! We love that we can see who is at our door and even go back after the fact to see when a package was delivered. The app is super friendly and easy to use. This will give us comfort when we are away from home and can have peace of mind regarding who has been at/near our front door. I highly recommend!

We got this doorbell camera for Christmas. So far we absolutely love it! We travel a lot and this will be very helpful while we are gone. We also live fairly remotely so I’m excited to see if we catch any wildlife on the camera! The video quality is really good and the set-up was easy. We hope to add security cameras at a later date.

I can’t give this thing more than 1 star if I can’t see who’s ringing the bell. I can never get live video when someone is at the door.

This doorbell camera was easy to install as a wired connection to take advantage of an existing analog doorbell chime. The product literature was unclear about this option but once unboxed and the setup instructions in the app were followed, it was very straightforward. Only reason this is not 5 stars is this camera is NOT currently recognized by the Arlo base station that other Arlo security cameras are connected through, and so the doorbell camera cannot be seen by Apple Home app. A firmware upgrade needs to be developed by Arlo development team to add this functionality.

We have been in the market for a wireless doorbell now for about 3 years and finally pulled the trigger on the Arlo Essential. Based on reviews (I always look for negative reviews first to see if they are USER ERRORS or PRODUCT ISSUES), found the Arlo Essential Video Doorbell to be exactly what we were looking for AND the most cost effective! I was a little taken back by the length and thickness of the doorbell, however we got the all black model to blend in with our trim work around our doors. The range and view is great. The picture quality is great. Have had ZERO complaints. I'd also like to add, we purchased the Arlo Pro 4 cameras for our property as well and have NOTHING bad to say about any of it.

This is my second Arlo doorbell after the clip that holds the doorbell to its base broke off on my first unit. My biggest complaint is that since I power this device with the battery instead of having it wired it does not connect to HomeKit with my other wireless cameras. Answering the doorbell when it rings is also a very awkward experience. Most times when attempting to answer the doorbell I am auto-logged out from the Arlo app which then makes me sign in again. By the time I am finally logged back in I have often missed the person at the door. There is also a very noticeable lag in audio during calls

Quick install. Camera works well and view angle is great. App could be a little more user friendly and have more options that are customizable.

The installation is difficult and network app couldn’t see the device

I bought this to replace a Blink wireless doorbell camera. Installation and setup is a breeze; just like any of the Arlo products so far. Paired with a subscription, I like the preview alerts as well as the ability to view recordings in the app that are stored in Arlo's cloud. Response time is very good; I have no encountered any delays yet. And I appreciate that this can be wired as well.The only thing that concerns me at this time is the battery. it uses a proprietary battery pack. The one advantage of the competitor was it took 2 Li-Ion AA so getting it back online was less expensive and quicker. Depending on how long this battery lasts, I may have to consider purchasing another one to have on standby. All in all, I think it is a better doorbell overall and better value for the money.

Trash!!! Don’t buy it it’s complete garbage I wouldn’t recommend it.

Worked for 1 week , Can’t get Geek squad out to fix it, they have rescheduled 3 times.

I love my new doorbell. It works great. The video quality is good, the microphone works, and I feel more secure.

Install was extremely simple and despite small issue with syncing doorbell-chime, all was resolved fairly quickly and performance so far has been great!

Better than another doorbell camera I had previously installed. Connects using Alexa and a Fire TV about 90% of the time. Really like the fact that it calls my phone for a video call and is responsive. Have the doorbell paired to 2 chimes and will activate them about 75% of the time. Have to contact customer service about this soon.

had the ring and it kept malfunctioning and the picture wasn’t clear at night. This bell is so clear it’s worth all I paid
