Great quality camera witv sound and night vision. The battery last a good amount of tume before it needs to be recharged. It makes me feel safe!

I'd give it three star, but since I installed it for my dad and he loves having it versus having nothing, it gets an extra star. I spent four hours installing, testing and on phone with support because configuring for multiple members with admin access took some doing, and there were repeated issues where only of us could hear the person ringing the door bell. When we adjusted settings with tech support on phone, then the other person could hear the person at the door, but still not both. The issue only got resolved after escalating the issues half a day later. It was frustrating. I would not buy the device for myself because of the lag in audio and video, even though the device is only 15 feet from the cable modem/router. Fyi - I am tech savvy and have installed three households full of smart home devices. I bought the doorbell because the Arlo security cameras I've installed in multiple homes were easy configure and use.

I purchased several Ario camera's along with the doorbell camera. First, I never realized how much traffic my front door has. 2nd the pictures are as clear as I've seen day or night with or without the porch light. There is a wide field of view, and we live on a street corner, so I was able to adjust the view to avoid traffic on both streets from setting it off. It was easy to install and the batteries last quite a long time. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

The video is great and easy to view. Set up was quick and easy with no mess. It connected to my Alexa with no issues and has been working great

Great purchase very clear video and picture quality. Rechargeable battery lasts at least 1 month in between charges even with my dogs setting it off dozens of times a day! App is pretty simple to use. Can use it without paying any subscription plan but if you are away from home for work days or weeks at a time and have multiple cameras like we do paying for the service is worth it for the continuous recording and storage feature.

Good image quality and notification system. The phone call when the button is pushed is a bit strange; given wifi connectivity and smartphone capabilities I'd much prefer video so I could easily see who is at the door in real time. The wifi needs very strong signal to remain connected consistently -- I had to move one of my mesh nodes within 10 feet of the doorbell to maintain connection. Also, the doorbell casing is not waterproofed and instructions say to keep away from water...strange considering the outdoor application of a doorbell.

My family and I purchased our Arlo Essential Video Doorbell to keep track of packages being delivered at our home while we are away at work. Thus far, it has proven to be a great investment! Setup was as simple as charging it, drilling two holes, and connecting it to our 2.4GHz network by scanning a QR code. We will certainly be purchasing more cameras completing our home-security solution. Great product and excellent customer service!

This doorbell is very versatile. It can be wired or wireless, making it very easy to install. It has a clear picture and reasonably priced subscription rates.

App works excellent, easy to install, and the video clarity is awesome. This is way better than I expected it to be and after this purchase I feel like Arlo lives up to its reputation as the best.

This unit has good quality video, but i have to charge too often. Have an Arlo camera set from a few years ago and they still only need to be charged every 8 months or so. This thing last maybe 6 weeks. Inreplaced a ring with this and i may go back.

So easy to install and integrate into my existing Arlo system via the Arlo app. Great picture quality and overall motion sensitivity. Zoning feature allows you to eliminate duplicate alarms where cameras overlap. Oh, in the setup you can enter your cell number for the doorbell to call alert you when it is pressed! How cool is that??? Definite bonus since I wasn’t buying for that feature! Nice add Arlo!

We ended up selecting Arlo as our ecosystem of choice due to its privacy policy and company roots in Southern California. Overall, we are satisfied with the ease of use, however, onboarding was a bit of a pain and could’ve been much more smooth. This was the only reason I didn’t give the doorbell a 5-star review, however, the opportunity for improvement lies in the owner dashboard, not the doorbell itself. Overall, happy with it so far, a week into ownership.
