Also, I’m not sure what happens when my 3-month free trial ends if I don’t continue it. Otherwise, after a painful period setting it up (I had to reset it twice and start over)...it appears to function as expected and works well with the chime.

You CANNOT view recordings on this without a pricey monthly Subscription.. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! Plus it picks up every car driving by and every leaf falling. You get alerts 24/7 but have no way of seeing why the camera went off unless you PAY FOR A SUBSCRIPTION. Arlo is over.

Once operational, it has great object and people recognition, and the camera definition is crisp and fluid. It took me a while to connect it with the Hub, until I realized signals were colliding. So be sure to keep a good distance between your wifi router and the Arlo Hub!

We had someone dog sit over the weekend and I could see exactly when they got there and when they left. I paired it with an Arlo pro 4 camera for the back patio and I could see when the pups were let out as well! It was perfect.

I went with arlo as this one offers a wire free battery powered option (also has ability to connect with wires) and so far they are working great. Would highly recommend.

Could’ve saved the money…

It never stays connected and it’s constantly saying to charge the battery. Even when the battery is fully charged (as in charging all night), 2 days later it’s telling me that the battery needs charged. We’ve tried multiple times to reach out to Arlo and getting through to someone is impossible. Save yourself the money and buy a Ring.

Super clunky compared to Ring

The UI is hectic and a little confusing at first, compared to the ring app. The Arlo looks nice and has cool lights, but fals short compared to the ring video doorbell. I’ll switch to a wired ring dooebell and I’d strongly suggest the ring products to anyone else.

We were told that it should be returned. Went to Best Buy to return. They said they had a 15-day return policy. Arlo will not help either so I am out that money & have to purchase another one.
