You don’t need the subscription to keep it working. Last for a while and there’s different settings in the app you can mess around with if you get their other products

I did the factory reset and it would not pair with my phone. Best Buy was very good with replacing the unit which worked well for one day and then stopped working and would not pair with my phone again. going to try to return for a refund.

The drawback is that you need a subscription to keep the videos for more than 30 days

So far I am very happy with the video quality for daytime and night time. Easy to set up. Battery is great. My only complaint would be upon set up. It took a long time for the device to find my wifi. Network was on 2.4G, no mistakes on my end. Overall product is working very well. Happy with my purchase.
