    motion detection start video recording late (around 3-4 seconds later) and poor video quality, also cannot watch live video stream on any google home displays.

    Big regret for us

    You have to purchase the service to see your own videos after the trial period is over. We had it turned onto face recognition only, but it never worked it’s was always going off no matter what goes by our camera. So a tech issue. So we haven’t even had this six months and we are buying something else and this will be thrown away.

    Simply awful

    I went through two of these before finally moving to Ring. Our other Alrlo cameras are fine (have floodlight and two of their other cameras) but the doorbell was nothing but problem after problem with a small lull of it working well in between. If it loses signal you’re tearing it off the wall over and over again. Save yourself a headache and get a different brand.

    Not super happy with this product. The video is choppy and 9/10 times once I finally have it up on my phone to speak to whomever is at the door, they’re gone. Not pleased.

    Best Video Doorbell Option our There

    Just bought this yesterday and had it installed in 20-25 minutes. Super-easy to follow the instructions and install. Connected to my WiFi perfectly. Make sure you type in your WiFi network exactly as it is named (Caps, etc. matter) when entering it in to have the camera read the QR Code. Also, make sure you connect to your 2.4 Gig WiFi (assuming you have a dual router). I have 5 Indoor Arlo Cameras that have always worked great and this doorbell just tops it all off! Also important to note... after set up, allow a couple hours for any shared users to have full access. My wife is a shared user (for now, Just Kiddin’), and the Video Calling didn’t work until a couple hours later. Motion detection has been working perfectly (not overly sensitive to the cars driving by my street). Night vision is perfect (have it set to 75% brightness) and we are extremely happy with this WiFi Video Doorbell! The speaker at the actual doorbell is nice and loud. The option to allow a visitor to leave a message is awesome (the doorbell actually talks to the visitor and asks if they want to leave a message, then press the doorbell again). Awesome tech for a super reasonable price! Cheaper than Nest and Ring. I would’ve happily paid $250 for this! But the way I see it... I saved $100 OR it covers the $3/month subscription for the next 30 years.

    Arlo used to be good. After various updates to their software - their products are useless. They don’t record motion. I have packages delivered to the front door (right in front of the camera) and they never record anything. I suspect they dialed down the sensitivity of their motion section to avoid excess recording of bugs, etc. but in the process they have made their security system worthless. Avoid Arlo if you want to use their cameras for security.

    GOOD HARDWARE BUNK SOFTWARE

    The hardware was solid and easy to install even with our ancient doorbell system. I truly hate the app though Arlo needs to figure out how to make versatile yet intuitive software.

    Do not buy

    Our doorbell worked for the first 60 days and then we changed our wifi password and it stopped working. Been working with Arlo for the past few months to get it to work. They said their hardware is guaranteed for a full year. However, our doorbell apparently is a refurbished one, but now where on the new packaging nor did the price we paid reflect this that is what refurbished. Do not purchase this product from Best Buy.

    Nothing but issues

    We have had nothing but issues with this doorbell. It overheats, it lags in video, and now it does not even connect. After speaking with customer support, they advised that we update our app. We did. It worked for a few months and again, it went out.

    I purchased 6 Arlo cameras. One doorbell, 2 Ultras, one pro 2, one pro 3 and a pro 3 spotlight. I have had nothing but problems with Arlo products. My car was broken into 8 feet from one of my ultra cameras. And the image was unusable by the police. All the cameras take turns failing constantly. I have 1gig fiber optic internet that is very stable. The doorbell stopped working altogether in 6 months. Customer service is a joke and you have to pay to send their faulty product back. BEWARE is all I can say

    The product simply does not work as advertised. After the first month I could not speak to the person outside using the bell. Now its just a camera which happens to have a bell. Even that it does not do a good job of. Surprise is that Arlo support does not do anything to fix the issue other than just closing the support case. For a person who has invested heavily in Arlo/Netgear products, I think its high time shed the products and look for more reliable solutions.

    Don't waste your money

    Disconnects from my hub on its own every couple of months, its a pain to reconnect. Online support for it is non-existing, good luck trying to get an arlo rep. I exchanged the original one i purchased thinking it was just a faulty door bell, turns out its a faulty product. When the door bell actually works its but what the point of having something that like clock work disconnects. If someone steals packages off my porch this if no good if it happens when this thing disconnects.

    I love this doorbell camera. I just wish it had audible alerts similar to what vivints doorbell camera does. Love the package activity zone notifications. Was pretty easy to install.

    Don't buy this product! You'll not be able to view the video for the doorbell without a subscription to Arlo. Even with a subscription, whoever you share with, be it spouse or kids or whoever, they will never be able to view the video for the doorbell. Go with another product and vendor!

    I needed to monitor the front of our house. I currently have Arlo so I added a door bell cam. This is great to see who is at the front door. I can also talk to them. GREAT product!

    We bought it because we have an Arlo system. I hired two different electricians, burned up a new recommended sized sized transformer and a new wired doorbell chime. Still can’t get the chimes and camera to both work. The installation directions don’t tell the whole truth. We found thousands of people had the same problem. Had to go to help page and all they recommended was an unwired Arlo chime that doesn’t work either.
