    I had issues with both wired doorbells. I switched to the wireless and havent had a problem

    We returned this product within a week. Couldn't keep connected and wouldn't show video once doorbell was answered. Swapped for Ring.

    Bought the wired version so I would make my chime ring… even my electricians couldn’t make it ring.

We recommend that you check the voltage level on your doorbell transformer before you install the Power Kit for your Arlo Essential Video Doorbell Wired, or before you hardwire your Arlo Essential Video Doorbell Wire-Free. If your doorbell transformer does not meet the required voltage, you must upgrade your transformer before you use your Arlo doorbell.     This is a piece of garbage. Refuses to connect to WiFi. Customer service is non-existent.

    Read the small print. You must get an Arlo Smart subscription if you want your video recordings.

When the trial expires, you have the option to purchase an Arlo Smart subscription. Subscribing your Arlo camera to Arlo Smart does not only give cloud storage but it also lets it utilize the Arlo Smart features detailed here :
       https://kb.arlo.com/000056583/. Without an Arlo Smart subscription, you can still add up to 5 cameras to your Arlo account, live stream, and receive motion and audio notifications.

    The door bell has a really really bad design and I can't even mount it on the wall of my front door.

    Great video and audio quality!

    I read a lot of reviews about this doorbell, as well as others, and decided that this one seemed acceptable in meeting my needs and wouldn’t break the bank. I can validate this this is a quality doorbell with awesome video quality and clear audio! It really does capture the full length of a person at the door, which is great since I don’t have a significant size porch and walkway area. The zones are pretty accurate as the zone that is set does not respond to big vehicles over top of my gate, only people on my side. There is a slight lag to the doorbell response time, but nothing more than about 3 secs or so. I’m really impressed and satisfied with my Arlo!

    Go for the Nest Instead

    It was super easy to install, but the UX of this device, along with the app, is not user-friendly.

    Arlo Video Door bell

    Purchased the Arlo door bell to complement the PRO 2 cameras. At the moment the door bell is connected to the internet and not the bridge. Installation was fairly easy, and only took no more than half of an hour. Set up was straightforward without issues. I’m currently testing the 3 month free trial on the extended video recording. The video quality on live view and recordings is great. The motion detection also works really good and notifications are delivered instantly. The part I liked the most is when someone press the doorbell the notification starts to ring within less than a second! Overall very satisfied with this purchase. I’ll have to see about longevity since I only have it for three weeks.

      Thank you for sharing your experience. Consider resetting your Arlo Video Doorbell. Resetting your Video Doorbell returns it to default settings. To reset your Arlo Video Doorbell, follow the steps listed here (page 56): https://www.arlo.com/en-us/images/Documents/ArloVideoDoorbell/arlo-video-doorbell-um-us.pdf.
      Please note, your Arlo Video Doorbell can only connect to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network. Many routers
      broadcast WiFi networks in both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, so your phone might
      connect to the 5 GHz WiFi band. During setup, connect your phone to your 2.4 GHz
      WiFi network, then connect your Video Doorbell to that same 2.4 GHz WiFi network. If you need further assistance, please visit https://www.arlo.com/en-us/support/contact.aspx and select your preferred method on reaching our Support team. ^KN

    You can check out their support forum. There are ton of issues with this doorbell or another Arlo cameras system.
