The doorbell camera has great video quality and is able to catch cars on the street. I would highly recommend this camera for beginners as the install was easy and the directions in the app were very detailed including pictures of the install.

This is a replacement unit for one that failed after about 3yrs. THE AVD1001 has had some firmware updates, but to my knowledge Arlo has done little to NO hardware updates to this device compared to the Arlo Pro line. Devices still only work on 2.4Ghz and require device to configure to be on the same 2.4Ghz. My mesh wireless and phone does not allow me to force 2.4Ghz. I have to use an OLD PHONE on WiFi 2.4Ghz to be able to do initial configuration which is ridiculous. Once configured, I see the doorbell/devices no problem on phone, tablet, Echo devices, etc. I have integrated with Alexa such that my Alexa devices announce when the doorbell is pressed. I also get notice via app local or remote to answer. Doorbell shows 100% WiFi signal yet it will now and then go "offline" as well as pretty significant lag (~5 sec on WiFi). I get people leaving the front door area before I can connect and answer. Aro support blames connectivity/WiFi. The "activity zone" for motion also go brain dead now and then and I get all traffic driving by house. I have to reset the zone and decides to work again. All that said, the video quality both day/night is very good. The camera is 1536x1536 in quality not 2K as stated on Best Buy site. App shows my other cameras at 2K but not the doorbell.

Doorbell camera was easy to install and setup . Uses existing doorbell transformer to power unit , so you never have to change batteries . Downloaded Arlo app and it did the rest of the setup for me . Camera pics are awesome in day and night .

I already had a Alro camera system and moved to a new house so bought the video ring doorbell. The picture is so clear and I really like how it records a few seconds before motion so that you get the full story of action. Installation was extremely easy.

Finally the package has delivered. The installation won’t take that long and now it works good with nice features. I really like it because same brand with my existing arlo pro2 cameras and using just one app for all.

Love the Arlo doorbell. Sound is perfect! Video is very clear and it picks up motion from a very long distance

I love the field of view and angle. I can see all the way down to the bottom of my doorstep. The set up was a breeze with the app. And the monthly fee for storage is affortable.

We love the view that this camera gives us and how easy it was to install. The only trouble we had was to connect it to the hub we currently have but I think it’s not supported! Other than that it is great, very clear and has great features!

Pros ;It notifies you of motion or That someone has rang your doorbell . You can see and speak with who’s at your door from anywhere. You can schedule the arming and disarming of it .It has features like sound siren,Call emergency services ,Installation is a breeze .Conns ,Only one person can access the doorbell via the Arlo app.The locking base of the doorbell is very flimsy and can easily be removed without any tools .( A locking security base should be made of metal not flimsy plastic)Has to be mounted vertically so if you have siding you’ll have to cut your siding to get this mounted properly .

Purchased this doorbell after installing and setting up my Arlo Ultra system. While this is essentially an entirely separate system, Arlo has done a great job of combining their products and providing some integration between them within the app. The doorbell works great and as expected. The quality is nice and user experience in the app is not lacking. There is a little lag between a visitor ringing the bell and the app ringing my phone/tablet but it's better than nothing and includes nice features such as optionally recorded phrases and recording the doorbell calls. Install was easy including the app-guided process for setting up the tie in to your doorbell chime.

We recently moved into a brand new home; at our previous home, we didn't even have a regular doorbell. Everyone had to simply knock on the door. After we moved into our new home we had researched security cameras and doorbells. We had compared all of the top brands to see which one would fit our wants and needs best. After months of looking (we researched and purchased for months before moving), we decided to go with Arlo! We could NOT have made a BETTER decision for both security cameras and a video doorbell. It was easy to install and easy to set up. The app's instructions and step by step directions that included videos, words, and pictures made it extremely easy! I love that the app and doorbell have the ability to be "armed", "disarmed", schedule or "geofencing"! Life and security made easy! Thanks, Arlo!

I love this video doorbell. It was so easy to install and to operate with my phone. I can monitor home entries from my phone, anywhere. The images are sharp and wide and I love how it alerts me if its an animal, vehicle, person or a motion.

Solid doorbell / camera by Arlo. Easy to install and use. Image quality is great love the doorbell to phone calling, very useful when your away from home. Highly recommend it.

The camera itself is amazing, it's very clear and sound seems to work really well. There are a few things I would like to see them fix, 1st there is a fish eye effect and it's rather annoying, I wish they would release a software update in the future to try and fix it. 2nd we hooked ours up without a preexisting chime in place, I really wish they'd let it work with their own chime! 3rd is Alexa integration, it works just fine with our firetv, but will not work at all with our echo show 5, they don't know why and either does Amazon. But even after those tiny issues, we would not give up our Arlo, it really is a great doorbell camera.

The Arlo Doorbell has a very clear picture. The app has a very easy the use event history. My only concern is sometimes it sees cars out of the geofence & thinks is an animal. Its really nice to have the package delivery feature.

Easy installation. Quality camera and audio functions. Integrates easily with Alex and Arlo’s security system.

It was fairly easy to install. I am still learning how to use it. Do feel alot safer seeing who is at the door without opening it. Really liked being able to see the porch even while out of town.

Purchased the pro 3’s first then video doorbell. Doorbell was easy to install with clear instructions. My issue is that if I have the app running the whole system, I cannot answer Using the video doorbell with the entire system off. It will still ring the bell on the wall, but doesn’t notify me. Also, some how the entire system has a delay in response between 4 and 20 seconds. My neighbor has arlo and has the same issue. We believe it has something to do with the extra hub and the “smart” notifications.
