Safe yet simple easy setup alerts to phone and better features

Seemed to be more involved when I ordered it. But turns out that through the app, it was extremely easy to install and set up.

I was quite disappointed with the Arlo Home Security System with Wired Keypad Sensor Hub and two (2) 8-in-1 sensors. The system set up was a nightmare! I am a pretty proficient DIY techie and had nothing but problems getting the system set up. The app downloaded fine and I was able to sign up for an Arlo account very easily. But then the trouble began. When trying to get the hub set up the app would not recognize it. After a bit of sleuthing on the internet I found several articles and posts from other customers who had similar issues. We have AT&T fiber internet. It is a dual band (both 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz) modem/router. Arlo does not work well with this type of system or a MESH wifi system. It will ONLY work with a dedicated 2.4 Ghz system. I eventually was able to get it to connect to the GUEST network at home which only uses the 2.4 Ghz band of the modem. Also had difficulty getting the sensors to connect up together but they finally did. The system is a wifi only system which means if the power or the internet go out your home will not be protected. Monitoring is an additional fee each month. Additional sensors can be purchased to expand the system. There are also Arlo indoor and outdoor cameras that can be added to the system.

Very nice security setup but very very expensive and the worst customer service that I ever had in my tire 50 years life and selling my merchandise that I bought from Arlo just because a customer service you cannot get no help even if you pay for his prescriptions it's nothing but a bunch of waste a time emailing and still no answers The worst ever that's why I'm moving elsewhere to another security

Pretty good product, Arlo has worked out lots of kinks with the automation features, but would be great to get HomeKit integration to go along with other Arlo products.

I’ve owned 5 Arlo cameras and have always been immpressed, but once I bought and installed their security system I was highly disappointed. I’ve had problems setting up the emergency response and with cellular backup, both of which are premium features I subscribe to. Their support is of the lowest quality I’ve experienced. I have had support tickets open for 6+ months without resolve, and despite asking several times, there is no way to escalate my concerns to management beyond technical support. I regret purchasing this Arlo product and not purchasing something from a competitor instead.

I bought the cameras about 3 years ago and they never worked as good as my ring doorbell. Supposedly 4k, but not. Long battery life, it doesn't. Customer care is the worst if you can get through to them. I will never buy arlo again! $800 down the drain for 2 cameras.

Hardware is pretty easy to install. Software is a little awkward.

This purchase was a dud for me. I have arlo security cameras and i thought it would be an easy install, but its still not installed. In a rush i first bought the arlo sensors in hopes they would work independently, but they dont. I then i was forced to buy the security touch pad so the sensors would work. It requires 2.4mhz which normally is no issue. For some reason i am unable to connect touch pad to my fidium dual band auto-select router. I had no issue with my cameras. I wish i didnt purchase this item. I bought the eve door sensors and they work great for what i wanted.

Really LOVE this security system! Such a huge upgrade from my old alarm. What my husband liked the most is that he didn't have to install so many pieces compared to other security alarms we looked at, and it gave us lot more detection options.
