Quality is not that good. Used the mount for a couple of months. Adjusted the mount a couple of times and the adjuster knob/ball seems got loose and won't tighten..

It just isn't easy to use and it doesn't hold well
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This is definitely the mount to use with these cameras. The magnetic ball mount is flimsy and not reliable and this one the camera actually screws into the mount and the mount screws to the surface. I would go with this mount instead of what came with the cameras.

If you are mounting your cameras outside this mount is a must. they will prevent some one from just walking up and taking your camera off the magnetic mount. They were also very easy to install.

I have used a number of these Arlo Adjustable Mounts in the past three years. They were designed pretty well for the original Arlo, but they fall short now that the product line has expanded and matured. The Pro and Pro 2 cameras have rather cramped real estate on the back of the cameras. The power input, 1/4” hole and magnetic back are very tightly packed. It is impossible to use the plastic lock nut that comes with the camera mount when a power cord is inserted into the camera. I discovered this when using the solar panel accessory. Without that nut, it is hard to lock the camera into the proper orientation. I have to play with the ball mount and try to get it all to line up when the camera is screwed tightly onto the 1/4” threads. And it is very difficult to plug in a power cord after the camera is mounted, so that adds yet another level of pain to the attachment process. I highly recommend Netgear take a completely fresh look at the design of a camera mount that meets the needs of the entire family of Arlo wireless cameras and accessories. For just a camera, it’s ok. Once you add a power cord, it is pretty lame.
I recommend this for folks who don’t plan to use the solar panel or power adapter while it is mounted.

These are nice to be able to get more specific camera angles. They hold their position and it’s super easy to change the camera battery and not have to realign the camera.
