This is a great security light for our backyard. With critters always around, it's great to for our small dogs

Because of the storms last summer we couldn’t hang them because of needed construction repairs and we just now hung them last weekend... one of the security lights won’t work and the cable that charges it doesn’t work either... also I only received 2 batteries in my package... the one light that works does pretty good though, but very expensive when the other 1/2 of the package doesn’t work... would have given a 5 star if everything worked, I would like a replacement of the defective light and cord... they’re brand new!!!

One of my favorite features is this system is totally rechargeable. (I’m weary of anything battery-powered—batteries don’t last long and it gets expensive over time.) Initial setup was pretty straightforward, although a printed quickstart guide would’ve been nice. The Arlo app on my iPhone had issues like not reading the QR code, but it could’ve just been an issue with my phone. BASE STATION • Arlo recommends plugging in the "Bridge" at counter height but it works just as well in an outlet near the floor. • Small, unassuming profile—I love how it doesn’t detract from our home decor. LIGHTS • Easily recharged by connecting the provided USB cable from the light into a wall outlet. • Surprisingly withstands harsh weather like rain and direct sun/heat. • Super bright; can illuminate a large area of an indoor room or outdoor patio. • Can be scheduled for whenever I’m away from home, through the Arlo app. • Alerts me when motion is detected, through text/email. “I’M A DUMMY” NOTES I’m not the most tech savvy so if you’re like me, you might think your Arlo Lights don’t work. We followed instructions for the Motion Detection Test and Range Finder Test to find the best sensitivity and location. The lights responded well to both tests. But outside of test modes, the lights simply would not turn on. Here’s what we finally figured out: • The lights are in automatic power-saving mode during the day! They’re lights (duh) so repeatedly walking past them or wildly waving your hands won’t do a thing during the day. They’re meant to turn on when it’s dark. Problem solved. • Another issue was the custom-colored lights and flashing on/off at different speeds. Apparently this is only available for “manual mode” (tapping the ON switch through the Arlo app). So my idea of chasing away evil intruders with a flashing, police-like red light didn’t pan out. But for parties, those same features are great alternatives to strobes and disco balls. Bottom Line The system is solid and very well-made, providing functionality, security and peace of mind in a non-obtrusive way. Arlo thought of everything, even theft-deterring window decals. Paired with their cameras, it's like a blanket of protection without having to pay for a monthly security system. I received this product as part of the NETGEAR First Look Review Program.

Makes the picture much clearer at night time. Connects to a camera when triggered.

Recently purchased the Arlo security light - works great except you need the bridge in order to use them.

I couldn't get the product to work on my network. There a bridge you need to setup, that wouldn't connect to my wireless router for some reason. There doesn't seem to be a way at this point for a manual setup. It's all done through the Arlo app. After looking at reviews on some other sites, I'm not the only person having this issue. It seems to have something to do with your router security. It's probably a good product is you can get the bridge to work. But you may want to review some of the support FAQs on the Arlo site
