This is my second unit, and works just as well as the first. Will eventually buy one more to compete my system. It would be great if Best Buy and Arlo would list the length of the power cord (8 feet) on their respective product pages, and make obvious the fact that the cord is permanently attached to the panel. Finally, would be nice to get a longer cord, maybe 25', as an option.

So far so good. Only thing I would advise is to clean the solar panel as it collects dust to optimize charging.

Power cord too short

I had to move the camera higher to the roof to be able to place the solar panel on the roof. I tried placing the solar panel on the facia but it wasn’t getting enough sunlight to charge the camera. I don’t believe they make a cord extension. Now it fully charges camera by mid day and I don’t have to worry about charging the battery my self.

Great not having to go up and connect to charge camera once in a while. I keep camera rolling 24/7 with motion captures.

It is a good idea to have the camera fully charged before using the solar panel. So far, it keeps the cameras at 100 percent.
