Arlo solar works very will with Arlo pro 4. Keeps the battery charged during the day to have energy at night. Battery always at 100%

Purchased this solar panel on Oct. 22, 2022. Warranty was for one (1) year. No longer charges my Floodlight. I tried to communicate with a Customer service agent and their robot said that my warranty expired and to go to their FAQ page for support. I would look elsewhere for a security system.

I bout this panel not knowing it was for a line of camera I do not have. I have the essential camera so I needed an adapter USB C to micro I believe to get it plugged in. It will not charge the camera. Arlo could do a better job in developing one solar panel to cover all cameras.

Not even worth the purchase. The solar charger is useless

I installed the Arlo solar panel on one of my four cameras, and it does not do anything. It is in a location that gets direct sun for about 7 hours a day, but I am still changing out the battery as often as I was before I installed the solar panel. This camera is not activating anymore than the three that do not have a solar panel, but the battery is not lasting any longer than the three without it. The settings on all my cameras are identical, so it would make sense that the one with the solar panel should be getting better battery life than the other three and longer life than it was getting before the solar panel was installed. Waste of 50 bucks.

A good solar panel that saves you time from having to change battery for charging.

Cord is far too short. If you buy this make sure you use it ONLY on the sunny side of the house. BTW a couple of gray days and the battery dies meaning going through the whole setup process again. Noproblem is ûnit is person height. Pain in the neck if it's on an eve or up high

We have outside cameras that need a solar panel— very easy to set up, highly recommend Arlo

In Cold Climates less than 15 F (MN/ND for me) & short winter days. The solar does not keep up! I was hoping it would. Will try in summer!

Terrible product. Poor connection to cameras, does not stay on! Allows moisture in to corrode! Absolutely the worse.

I purchased this item because of the activity, the battery would need to be charged every few days. I had a contractor install it and unfortunately it’s so high up that I probably can’t reach it, if it needs maintenance. I’m Not happy with this product because if it’s a cloudy day the battery doesn’t last long since there is a lot of car activity all day long. By 11:00 pm I get a notification that the battery it low with 15%.

Given the battery life is 3-5 days with only the big 3 (vehicle, person, animal) enabled, there is a systemic product liability, especially for older folks or those who cannot climb a ladder every 3-5 days to replace a dead battery. If you get Arlos, you must include this in the price, as changing batteries more than once a week is absurd. Arlo has had many years to improve but failed to do so. This is a "bandaid" on a poor product.

bought a arlo essentials camera because they don't carry pro 3 any more its not compatible with the 3 solar panel . Arlo doesn't make its items compatible they want you to buy everything new, So looking into eufy cameras they do not charge a monthly fee like Arlo and almost everything is compatible.

I ended up not keeping this item because I did not like the location on my house for it to get the best amount of sun

I purchased the Arlo solar charger in the hope of charging the battery continuously without having to remove and recharge the battery indoors because the Arlo Floodlight camera's battery was losing the power too fast. And then, I returned it in a few days because there was no sign of charging at all. Not being a big fan of solar whatever, I decided that it was a crazy way to charge the Arlo battery. Then, I came up with a way to charge the battery with an Outdoor Magnetic Cable that connects to an AC power outlet. Now, the battery is almost fully charged (90~99%) all the time. One downside is that the camera and light functions become disabled while the battery is being charged. Arlo website says I must use Outdoor cable. I surely did, but it did not resolve the issue. Although somewhat unhappy, this is not a big problem because the charging time is short. If you can afford a short downtime of your camera during the day or night, the Outdoor Magnetic Charging cable system is the best way to go.

This solar panel does not work with the older Arlo cameras

The short length of the cable and the proprietary connector means that unless you're willing to move your camera to a potentially less than ideal place simply to be able to connect the solar panel this will be wholly unusable. In the past the solar panels and cameras were standard micro-USB, alas that hasn't been the case for some time apparently.
