    Doesn't charge well

    Turns out when it's too hot outside the unit and/or the solar panel won't charge the unit. Likely this in intentional but I don't recall reading that in the description or manual. Now I'm looking to place this somewhere in the shade but, unfortunately I can't relocate the camera...so no use for me now.

    I don't know if this works at all, because the cameras don't. The app can't find them and customer service, while friendly, Isn't helpful.

    Don't waste your money! Won't do what is hyped

    Don't Bother buying these solar panels. Unless you have an extreme amount of sun, and your camera NEVER triggers or activates, the panel is useless. It will only maintain a charge on the camera's battery until the camera activates. Once you start using the camera, the panel cannot or will not charge the battery back to full charge. I have spent hours on the chat line with Arlo and Best Buy only to be told there is nothing they can do. I bought this panels to avoid having to climb a ladder to recharge or replace batteries in a unit where wireless is the only option. After a period of dialing in the camera, to prevent false alarms and such which drain the battery, I now find the solar panel cannot maintain the battery under the usage the camera is made for. A total waste of money. Arlo needs to find a unit to sell that will do the job intended, not sell this useless item.

    Needs a redesign

    Not the best design for homes with rain gutters since there is no place to mount it to get sunlight to charge the cameras. Mounting arm is too short along with the cable to connect it to the camera. Need better design for assortment of mounting situations

    Pretty much worthless and a waste of money. They don't charge the arlo batteries. I constantly have to swap batteries just to have my cameras active. I had to buy the wall charger for most of my cameras

    Panel has to be in direct sun to charge.. if its cloudy it doesn’t charge. Battery doesn’t late more than a week

    I installed a fully charged solar panel to my 4 Pro cameras. The solar panel is not keeping the charge.

    It’s alright i have delt with better systems such as nest but overall it’s dose whats it supposed to and but there are definitely changes that need to be made.

    It only helps keep the battery from draining quicker and that's if the sun is out. It will not charge a dead battery, I just bought long cords to keep them plugged in. This is still on my roof unplugged.

    Solar panels are the way to go to keep the batteries charged. The only down fall is cold temperatures. The camera won't charge from the solar panel

    Arlo solar chargers are confusing for which one goes with which camera. Sometimes listed as Essential or Pro bersion and sometimes with the VMC number. Would have been better for customers to standardize the connectors.

    My Arlo floodlight charged very very vey slow and after 2 months of use, this solar charger stopped working. What a waste of money!

    Fake charges then drains battery overnight.

    It’ll say its charging and say its at 100%. Over night the battery will drain to 0%. Arlo support wants me to pay shipping to RMA 3 week old solar panels that don’t work out of the box and Bestbuys return policy is one of the worst anywhere. I’ve moved away from shopping at Bestbuy. Not worth the trouble.

    Waste of money

    I spent $60 for this and it doesn’t even charge my camera. I have spent a total of $300 between the camera, the solar panel, and a replacement camera. The camera will show that it’s at a 100% then after like 3/4 days it will show that it’s 42%, then it will die a few days later. I have to still charge the camera every week even with it being connected to a solar panel. I just want to throw it all away. Wasted my money

    Able to see all going on with my cameras except sometimes it’s not clear on one side of the house
