WORKS GREAT AS A REMOTE SECURITY DEVICE. SET UP SOFTWARE APP ON MY SMART PHONE. EXCELLENT!

Purchased two kits for Christmas Gifts for my Sons Family and Daughters Family. The system was easy to install and they have shown me videos of the cameras and have to say very pleased. Mounting was easy, setup to iPhones was easy and operates great, I am getting a set for my home and replace the units that I currently have - "has to do with birds" my current system is ok but Ario is Great!

As someone that has set up 3 sets of 4-5 Arlo cams, I can tell you that there are many differences. The first being the rechargeable battery pack, but you also get higher graphics and audio. I use the pro at my office so I have audio off to prolong battery life. Lastly, there is an alarm on the base. If you set the cams on alarm mode and it notices audio or video activities, you can have the alarm sound

The cameras are great for the most part. The only problem I have is one of my cameras won’t stay connected.

Overall happy with the simplicity and ease of set up of Arlo systems. The camera quality is superb as well. My only complaint is the constant low battery warnings, because these must be charged every few weeks! Charging is easy, you just have to remember to charge!

Got ya! Love my new security camera. Easy to install, works great on wifi and captures the moment someone enters the span of view I've set for the camera. Simply love it. I no longer have to go to the door to check who is there and can speak to visitors without opening the door. Camera is so sensitive, it even picks up bees and birds hovering nearby. I'll definitely be buying another for my garage area.

The cameras work well both inside and outside, the cameras with rechargeable batteries are a great improvement to replacing batteries on the old style camera.

This is a neat self contained camera system. Everything you need is included in the box including its own WiFi base system. These camera's sync with the base station (which has a really, and I mean really, load siren) and that is how they communicate. The base system connects to your internet via Ethernet. I am assuming the base station runs on 2.4 band as I have a very large coverage area in and around my house. The batteries for the camera's are fully charged which is good (see cons) and sync and setup is fairly straight forward and I encountered no problems getting the cameras attached. By default the Cloud service is free and will store 1 week of recordings up to 1GB and allow up to 5 camera's I think. If you need longer retention, more recording space or camera's they have a variety of plans to cover you. You can download the records yourself to your computer or phone so the free plan will meet my needs. The motion detector and night vision work and work well. The web service is really good about sending e-mails with a picture right away if motion is detected. You can use the app to fine tune everything. The app will work on IOS or Android. If you don't have one of those any computer/device with Flash can be used to view live recording or admin the cameras. One of the first things I did after set up is create my own profile for arming/motion detection. I find the camera handy to let me know when the kids are home as I get an e-mail right away with a picture. I can communicate via a mic on the camera, but its fairly weak I find. But its good enough inside. The camera's are indoor/outdoor, but I'm a bit too cold where I am to allow them to go outdoors right now. Still its nice to know in the spring I can set it up to catch the bear in my area. So far I've had the camera's on for a week and the battery is still holding strong for my limited use which is good. Overall I am liking this system I think it works great and covers my simple needs. Now onto some of the cons: 1. Only one charger is included. It would be nice if they provided two so I could have both camera's plugged in if possible. 2. There is a slight delay in connecting to the cloud service to connect back to your camera's. Depending on your Internet speed (ie you phone out and about) it may be up to 15 seconds before it will start showing what is happening live on the camera. 3. It is a cloud service. It is free, but things change, so plan according that support for these camera's could stop in the future. I don't mind since these camera's are wireless I'm not investing much in setup in and around my house. Keeping those cons in mind, this is a great simple system to setup and get some live camera's covering your house quickly and easily.
