Original bought 1 dlink camera and had trouble, for a little more money, I got 4 cameras that were wireless and no technical issues. Easy to set up and I am very happy with the quality of the product.

It's really a good product the only downside is the recording time, it only lasts for 10 seconds. I hope the camera can record about a minute

These cameras are the best I have seen so far. I love how the magnets let you turn them any way you wish. I also love the alarm that sounds that way burglars think you have an alarm and will leave.

I bought the original Arlo set mainly because on the no wires, the batteries are expensive but did last a few months with minimal use. So after working with the HORRIBLE customer service came to an end with camera's failing and thanks to Best Buy extended warranty I was able to swap for the Arlo PRO with added cost rechargeable batteries second Gen what could go wrong ? Well these burn through batteries faster which means monthly recharging ,I have these outside and higher up to avoid easy theft so the work i was trying to avoid in hard wiring I almost have to do monthly. I had the first camera fail right away and yup its brand new so i take that into consideration. So back to the HORRENDOUS Customer service at NETGEAR and after 4 phone calls and countless email trouble shooting I still have a bad camera . Oh wait netgear sent me an email if I tried a different battery one more time??? Really its like there goal is to kick the can until the warranty expires. Going with hard wire system always live no long load times and 24 hour recording for half of the cost !

I think the price is really high and muy customers dont wanna pay more then $500. And the older ones arent going down in price so im kinda over it. Nest and Ring jave newer products that are cheaper

NICE CAMERAS NO SOUND AND BATTERY LIFE IS DEPENDANT ON HOW OFTEN THEY ARE USED. WOULD SUGGEST RECHARGABLE BATTERIES AS REPLACEMENTS ARE PRICEY

I switched from the logi circle, and I'm very pleased with the upgrade. The only downgrade I had was picture quality. I wish these camera would stream/record in 1080p like their competitors already do.

I was really excited to get these and they worked good for about 2 weeks (but one of the batteries came dead from the start). Then I kept getting messages saying that the cameras were offline. I did everything the directions said to do, and nothing. One after another they stopped working and within a month, I returned them. I was told it was my internet speed, but WHY did they work good to begin with? I'm not a tech person, but...

A little cold here and so sometimes when it’s below zero it doesn’t work, especially if the camera is in the shade. Otherwise great!

Security cameras do not come any better. While only 720P the resolution is fine for the security images captured. Buy a couple of rechargeable batteries to have charged up and ready.

Use this system in the barns on the farm. I know when anyone comes and goes in and around the barns. Even alerted me when one the horses decided to let himself out of his stall.

I got the Arlo Pro Indoor/Outdoor HD wire free security camera for use at my home. I have been looking for a few years for a good security camera system to watch over my house. I tried a Logitech security camera in the past and didn’t have much luck even getting it to work and quickly returned it to the store. The Arlo Pro system came with a single charger and Mini-USB cord, 2 cameras, 2 batteries, two wall mounts, base station with power cord and Ethernet cable. I really wish the system came with two chargers so I could leave each camera plugged in to avoid any potential down time with a dead battery. PoE would also have been a welcome addition. The bottom of the cameras have a soft rubber if you decide to set them on a ledge or piece of furniture, which is a nice touch. The magnetic mounts are very strong but if you set the camera outside I would recommend you set it out of reach or in an area where someone can’t throw something at it to dislodge it and cause it to fall. It would be nice to see an additional mounting system for people who want a more secure mount. The base station was easy to get setup and it was equally easy to pair the cameras. When I logged into the system the first time via the Arlo android app it notified me of a firmware update for the base station and cameras, which I installed. Video quality was as expected from a 720P camera and the night vision was good as well. I have had the cameras running on battery for just over a week now and they have not yet needed a recharge. I like how the cameras also record audio and they also allow me to speak through the camera or sound an alarm. I also like that I can easily watch the cameras to check on things at the house or talk to our pets through the app or arlo.netgear.com. I played a trick on my wife the first time she came home after I installed the system and once she realized it was me talking to her she calmed down a little bit, ha-ha. She said the audio was loud and clearly audible. I like that the system comes with some free cloud storage for your videos and that it also allows you to plug in a USB drive to the base station to act as storage for videos. Overall I am happy with the equipment itself, however there are issues with the Arlo software. Some settings are buried in different areas and can cause you to do a lot of searching until you become familiar with where all the different settings are. When you initially turn on the camera it only records for 10 seconds when it senses motion and I wanted to change that but couldn’t find the appropriate setting until I did an internet search that pointed me to the appropriate settings page. When I finally found where the setting was, it allowed me to set it to keep recording as long as motion was sensed for up to 300 seconds or to set it to record for up to 120 seconds for each instance that motion was sensed. I tried to set it to record for as long as motion was sensed and it initially didn’t want to save the change. Once I was finally able to get this setting how I wanted, the longest it would record was 9 seconds. I could sit in front of the camera doing jumping jacks and it would still only record for 9 seconds. For some reason this setting has now been removed from the settings options so I am hopeful that Netgear is working on a fix rather than removing it entirely. When I first logged in to the Arlo app there were several videos available for me to view that showed me setting up the camera, however each time I clicked on a different video it would always link to the oldest video and keep playing that one video no matter which video I clicked on. When I logged into Arlo via a browser it allowed all the videos to play back properly so it was only an issue with the Android app. This was later fixed in an app update, which is promising to know that Netgear is working to fix the issues. Something new that I just noticed today while going back to watch some older videos in the web browser, I just get a loading screen when I click on them and the video never loads. I can download the videos and watch them but for some reason they will not load in the web browser. I was able to watch the videos in the Android app so this could just be an issue with arlo.netgear.com. As it currently stands I would not recommend this camera to anyone with its current problems and can only give it three stars. If Netgear can fix the issues I noted in the review I could easily bump it up to four stars and recommend the product. I am hopeful that the issues I have noted will be fixed and if anything changes with my recommendation I will update or comment on my review.
