This is by far one of the easiest camera set ups that I have done. Quick install, no messing with network configurations, straightforward app, and very convenient. Yes, there is a lag of 3 seconds or so on when recording starts. But the positive tradeoff is battery life, not running wires or power, and good performance.

Nice upgrade from the standard Arlo camera models. After playing with various settings I was able to get the camera's to record the area's I needed. Battery life also appears to be good although I'm powering one camera with the supplied power cord.

Since only the base station needs to be connected to your network, and the cameras themselves, simply sync to the base station, setup is a breeze. The fact you get seven days of recordings on their free account is something other brands are lacking. I attached a 2TB external drive to my base station, for local recording, beyond 7 days, and in the event my base station loses its Internet connection. Think about this: If your house loses power, as long as you have your base station on a UPS (battery backup), since the cameras also run off of battery, you'll still have a working camera system. What is not mentioned, is that if you buy the six pack of cameras, Netgear will allow you to attach all of them under your free account, instead of limiting you to the five cameras you would be limited to, using any other camera bundle. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I reviewed many cameras and asked around. I finally decided in the Arlo Pro. What a great choice. Great video and sound. App to easily use and arm. Monitoring easy No monthly unless you want to pay for extra memory. I love it and it was easy to install. Battery life so far excellent not even close to recharging.

The first Arlo pro I bought had a couple glitches, one problem was one of the 4 cameras wouldn’t sync to the base and the automatic arming wasn’t working just right. I called Arlo and they were no help, they eventually had me take it back to Best Buy and I got a new set that works pretty well. Everything synced immediately and the automatic arming works perfectly now. The first one must have just been broken or made wrong. It’s not like super 4K quality, but for something basic, quick, and not having to pay for a subscription then it’s great! All of the other brands seem to require a subscription, this one allows you to go back up to 7 days which is nice. The down side is it only comes with ONE exterior mount so I need to buy more.

These have a great picture, day and night, outside or inside. You can set the app to alert you with motion detected and set up hours to receive motion alerts. You can check past videos and live stream from the app or any internet browser. The cameras have a speaking and listening function on each one. We love them!

I have this kit and have had an excellent experience with 3 out of the 4 camera's. One camera malfunctioned and needed to be sent in for replacement, but the new camera works as expected. One thing i've found is that you definitely want full signal bars if you want this product to work perfectly 100% of the time. I accomplished this by buying a second base station and connecting it to a Wifi AP. Once it was installed the distant camera's worked exactly as expected.

fairly easy to set up *

Easy enough to set up and use except for the fact that it only comes with one security mount. The other magnetic mounts aren't suitable for outside use for two reasons: - They're easily knocked off the mount - Depending on the mounting location they don't have enough adjustment range to cover the desired areas. I had to buy additional security mounts so I could mount all 4 outdoors. Look only for cheaper options. Netgear also made the bone-head decision that the batteries can only be charged while in the camera. This means taking the camera down, charging and then re-mounting and re-aiming each camera. The other, extra cost option is to buy a separate battery charger for the battery. That still means 2 trips to the camera (before and after charging). For more cost, buy one or two extra batteries that can be swapped out in one trip. Beside that, the setup was fairly easy. Locating and aiming can be fussy. Once installed it works well although it can be slow to start recording sometimes.

Security cameras to monitor my home when I'm away I am completely satisfied with this product it does everything it is supposed to do and a little more highly recommended but if you are going to use for outdoor you're going to need to get separate mounting brackets which are available at your local Best Buy

I've purchased a few Best Buy type security cameras in the past & have always felt the tech was not ready. These cameras are so convenient & simple to install. I literally had no problem placing these everywhere outside, even on a tree! The base signal goes far even through 3 walls. 4 stars because either I don't understand how to set certain features like being notified or setting the sensitivity or their server syncing has hiccups. Other than that this product is truly amazing leaving you with your imagination not being distracted by wires. I've been checking these cameras through out the day a lot. The battery level is still at 100%. Unbelievable breakthrough.

I purchased these cameras in order to keep track of my house while at work. I read reviews of many different cameras before I made my decision. These cameras did not dissapoint. The setup and install was very easy considering there are no wires for the cameras. The hardest part was getting the base to connect to my router. I had to reset my router many times before the arlo base actually connected. The only real complaint i have are the notifications. Granted, i can turn the notifications off, but it is mainly the sensitivity that is annoying. Every car that drives by triggers my front camera. Arlo has an update coming that will supposedly fix the issue of sensitivity. I would definitely reccomend these cameras to others. In fact, I will probably purchase more to add on at my house and get a system for my business.

I bought the Arlo Pro four camera set up. Very easy to set up. Great pics. Batteries charge quickly which is a good thing because they deplete a bit faster than expected mainly because of the traffic. Very satisfied.

This camera system is very good as it’s wireless and you can easily move the cameras to different locations without having to run additional wiring. The only downfall is the battery’s will go fast until you get all the motion sensors set so the cameras are not picking up every little movement as they are very sensitive to not only movement, but also sound.
