Nighttime vision is something that could be improved. Installation was very easy. Operation of the camera system is straightforward and simple to navigate. I would buy this system again.

I’ve never owned a camera security system, as they always seemed complicated to use. However, the Arlo Pro Security System 2 Camera Kit was very easy to setup. The 2 camera kit includes a receiver (think of an internet router-like device) that connects to your modem. From there, the quick-read instructions ask you to download an app to your mobile device. The app offers step by step instructions on how to sync your cameras. After syncing the cameras, you can go and install them anywhere you like. I am not much of a handyman when it comes to using power tools. That was what kept me from getting any security system. Luckily, tools were not needed, for the cameras are magnetic and the location where I installed them had plenty of metal for them to stick on their own. However, it does come with two mounts that you can use if you need them to be aimed at a certain angle. One of the best features of this product is the ability to observe any motion from your mobile device. Within seconds, I started to detect motion after installation. I tested it with several family members to check if the notifications on my phone were working, and they worked flawlessly after an update required from the cameras and the receiver. One of the best features that I didn’t know it had was a microphone that comes with each camera. While away from home, the camera will notify me of someone near my home. If I want to communicate with them, I can through the mobile app. I hold a microphone icon and they can hear what I say from anywhere that I am.

Initially I was worried the hub for this system wouldn't be able to talk to every camera on the outside of my 3200sqft home. However I've had *zero* issues. Setup & pairing of each camera to the hub was flawless, and setting up my account to see the videos was easy as well. The quality of the video is really incredible - if we're honest 720p is plenty for quality and allows some absolutely astounding battery life from these little cameras. I installed mine on 6/27/2019 and it's now 8/2/19 - the battery life on my cameras (which have been on 24/7 since, and were in 'armed' mode for 3wk of that time) is at 80% on the lowest of the 4 after nearly 5 weeks of continuous operation! They recently added "zone detection" to the videos where you can choose an area of the screen that you want to detect motion within. In practice, however, I've found this doesn't work at all - it will trigger a notification if there is movement anywhere in the frame today. This is annoying when you purposefully exclude the road in the front of your house, but it triggers every time a car goes by. Hopefully they'll keep iterating on this and improve the experience. Once they do, 5 stars from me. As an aside, while they have a dashboard on the web to log in and see your videos, I've yet to find a browser that works for it. Unfortunately they're still using Flash and no matter what I did (installing, enabling, etc) I couldn't get it to work.

After originally purchasing a Ring Spotlight, we are so happy we eventually found the Arlo camera. The Ring camera had unfixable issues connecting to our WiFi, so we decided to try out the Arlo camera because it has its own base station, which the camera then connects to. This has worked perfect for us. The picture quality is amazing despite not being 1080p. We also love that you don’t have to pay rediculous monthly fees unless you need an excessive amount of storage. The free week of storage is enough for any of our uses, plus you can externally back up or download any video content you need to keep. We haven’t had had any issues, and it’s catches all the movement we need. Only thing I wish it had was a siren on the actual camera, but the base station doe so we just moved that closer to the door. Overall, we have really loved the Arlo system.

Cameras are both easy to install and sync to base. Battery life is outstanding however charging requires you to charge within the camera. My experience with this method was horrible as none of the cameras wanted to charge past 15% with this method. I purchased the two battery charger and it seemed to resolve the charging issue. I would also recommend buying a couple of extra batteries to keep the system going while charging. Images are good however the start times are not consistent and may record a bit late and end a bit early.

The Arlo Pro is the perfect fit if you are looking for self-monitored video security. System setup and camera installation are both very easy. The system will alert you to either movement or sound through the downloadable app. Notifications are received very quickly and a video clip of the camera that triggered the alert is available almost immediately. The system can be armed manually, on a schedule or using a configurable geofencing feature. The app also allows for live view and voice communications through the cameras. The voice communications can be inaudible at times but I believe this due to my internet connection speed. My Arlo Pro is connected to the internet via a Verizon Home 4G/LTE MiFi router. There is also some lag between the alerts and video availability due to my connection speed but overall I am very pleased so far.

I was looking for an easy to install wireless security camera system for my home. These were very easy to set up and begin using. The picture quality is clear, recharging the cameras is easy and quick, mounting the cameras outside was very easy

arlo pro has performed great as of the 1st month, battery life has been better than expected, decent picture quality easy to set up ,all around a good totally wireless system

Great camara. Easy set up. Not for high traffic areas as it beeps even when the wind blows which can be good. Mine is at the back corner of my house and picks up street traffic which is at least 100 feet away. Can be annoying at night when you're trying to sleep bc the notifications keep dinging. The only downfall for me is I have to recharge the battery once a month bc of its location but that's bc it picks up movement as far away as 150 ft and I live on the corner and the side its on is toward the street but between me and my neighbors house which is where its needed. Imagine climbing a ladder every 30 days. Its well worth the money and works great. It comes with a magnet base but some prefer purchase a wall mount instead.

We got these cameras after my car was broken into. We got 6 of them for our property. They were easy to install and work great when they work. For some reason the cameras cut off the WiFi on a regular basis and it's frustrating because we don't know if/when they will work. They are great because they are wireless but this is the issue we have. If we were not renting our property, I would much rather have a wired system that I can count on working all the time.

This system is easy to set up and the app is user friendly. Love that you can control everything from the app on the phone (can arm, disable, and customize when you want the camera to be armed). The picture quality is good, however there is a delay since the system runs off the WiFi. The manual says the battery life last 6 months on a single charge, however for one of the cameras I’ve had to charge the battery 5 times now (which is why I’m giving 4/5 stars). I’ve contacted Arlo about the issue and they have replaced the defective camera.

After reviewing several of the wire free cameras I had a few questions. I went into my local Best Buy and met up with a very knowledgable associate. Many of my questions were answered on the spot. I purchased the Arlo system and read up on the simple instructions. I attached the base to my router, synced all the cameras to the base station and was up and running. The mobile app could not be easier. I can monitor from home or away. The battery time on the cameras is outstanding. The video is all it was said to be including sound. This was a great purchase.

Was skeptical. In fact was only going to buy to try but they work so well we kept them. I was being pushed to a $1,400 home security system by Best Buy employees with a $50 monthly service fee. It was pretty with all the bells and whistles. This is my 4th security system. This by far is super easy to install. Hook up and use and works for exactly what I want it to do. I was upset to find the price dropped $200 after I bought it and now there is a new Arlo pro 2 out. The two way communication from my phone anywhere in the world is nice and the picture quality is pretty decent. It’s only 720 though so if you want better get the pro 2. It’s nice in complete darkness also. Overall very happy.

This is a great product, easy to install/setup and doesn't require pulling cables throughout your house. The video quality is good and the battery life is long. I only have to charge my cameras maybe once a month. I like the ability to view my from anywhere with the Arlo app and getting notified when motion is detected. Overall I'd recommend this product to anyone who is looking to setup a quick and easy surveillance solution.

This is an excellent system. Easy to install, easy to use app, push and/or email notifications for motion and/or sound detection for each camera, 7 days of free cloud storage, siren on the bridge that can be activated remotely with the app from anywhere, 720p color video with night vision, cameras have the ability to zoom in remotely, it's all there. I had 4 camera's installed and running in about 2 hours. The system is capable of more cameras and you can extend the cloud storage for a few dollars a month of you want. Each camera has a microphone and a speaker so you can listen and talk to whatever is in front of it. Moron and sound sensitivity are adjustable or can be turned off. Multiple users can access the system with the app when permission is granted. The cameras link to the bridge wirelessly which means they are not hogging local network resources. There is a lag to it, about 3-5 seconds. That's about the only downfall it has. No wires to run other than the network cable from the bridge to your router. Cameras have rechargeable batteries that can be charged in the camera with a supplied USB cable or you can purchase a spare battery and charger for $50. My most active camera which has gone off 1200 times in a week and a half finally hit 16%. The system sent me a notification telling me battery was low and i charged it up with the supplied cable. System can be viewed from an app on your phone or from a PC. More money than a wired system, but it would have taken me 2 days to install a wired system plus wired systems are a bandwidth hog on your internet when viewing remotely. I have a 20 Mbps DSL connection that i stream TV with along with the Arlo and no glitches. For the money it's far easier to install (anyone can do it) and its easy to use from anywhere.

I was happy to find a reliable wireless solution. I didn't want to run power cords and network wiring all over the house and when I saw Arlo, I admit, I was reluctant at first, but after two months of checking my other options, I realized Arlo was the best choice. I purchased the system 3 weeks ago, and tested it for 2 weeks in the house. With kids and our dog running around I thought I'd get a good idea of battery life. I was pleased to find out I only had to replace the batteries once and I had to start recordings. I've had them around the house for a few days now and I only get a couple notifications a day and the batteries are still charged pretty good, over 90%.

The system was easy to set up and it was helpful that the camera batteries had been pre-charged by the factory. Good color and picture, the motion detection works perfectly (and can be turned off), and the sound is a bonus. I don't care about trying to speak with anyone via the cameras, so if the sound quality is low, it really doesn't matter to me. Cameras have been on for over a month and the batteries are still charged in the mid to high 90% range.

This has to be the easiest product I have installed in quite some time. It took longer to find the ladder and mount than work through the setup. I did not use the magnet mount as they do not work well under the eave of a house, I opted for the screw in mount. Camera batteries last for a long, long time. I charged the most used camera (driveway) after about 4 months. Picture quality is pretty good, nite vision okay. I would recommend the Pro 2 1080p. Keep in mind that if an object is near the camera it will adjust the low light help based on that object. The exterior of my house was in view of the camera about 3 feet out and at night it was all that you could see. Some rotation of the camera and now I can clearly see the entire yard at night. The ability to use geofencing with multiple devices (first in, last out) made this my only choice really. I wanted something passive. For some reason every so often the geofencing gets stuck on or off even if one or more devices shows as "in zone" or "out of zone". This is the only reason I could not give it 5 stars.

This is my first security system. After some careful research I went for this wireless and wire-free system because I didn't want to struggle setting up an electrical system. The batteries are just ok but expected and lasts about two weeks of normal usage. I have an extra battery to swap in when one becomes low. This type of security system can easily be stolen though, especially the batteries so placement needs to be thought out. Consider camouflaging it too with "skins" that can be purchased online.

Easy to install, clarity is very good, hook up is relatively simple. Synced it to Echo Show and 2 cellphones. Shows battery life, so you know when to change batteries before they die.
