Install was simple, but only one adjustable mount is included. For the price there should be an adjustable for each camera.
I bought Arlo because their big selling feature is wireless. The wireless sets them apart from the competition. That being said, the ability to create motion detection zones for each camera can only be done if the camera is hard wired. Since I can’t create zones on battery power, the front camera keeps picking up my flag when the wind blows and in one day the battery was drained because of that. Hopefully Arlo fixes this even if it’s at the expense of battery power.

I purchased the original Arlo Pro in September. The Arlo Pro 2 was released so I bought it during the return period of the Arlo Pro 1 so I could see if 1080p made a big difference. It does and now I’m returning the Arlo Pro 1. Video resolution of the Pro 2 is much better and on par with a Canary we own that’s 1080p and used indoors while plugged in. We will likely buy a 5th Arlo camera to replace the Canary. Netgear’s Arlo app is very good and connecting cameras is easy. They give you 7 days of recordings for free. You can literally set the entire system up in less than an hour, including mounting 4 cameras. The magnets are strong and the mounts connect to anything you can attach a small wood screw to. Many of my friends own the Ring or the Nest and while they allow 24/7 recording, they have to be attached to wires that are very noticeable. The Arlo cameras are attractive and minimalistic. If you need 24/7 recording you can attach a solar panel or plug it in. Also, be aware that when using only the battery, these start recording when they sense motion so if you need to see activity just prior to activity you’ll need to plug it in. Overall, if you need ultimate flexibility, Arlo Pro 2 is the best there is and 1080p fixed a glaring issue with the original Arlo Pro1.

Arlo cameras are worth the price, but you must understand what you are getting. The wireless features make install a breeze. That said, with a few motion alerts a day the batteries run out over the course of 4-6 weeks. While this is not a huge deal, changing batteries on multiple cameras at those intervals is not the most convenient thing in the world. Also, Arlo has greatly limited what you get now when you buy the system without paying an additional subscription price. The picture quality is good, not excellent. The free 7 days of cloud storage is still the best price compared to other models. They are very easy to use and install, but new version of the app is less responsive than the old one.

The Arlo Pro 2 camera provides good quality video and the app works well. Installation and setup went very smoothly and the instructions were very clear. However, I have three issues with it: (1) The unit triggers on activity beyond the field of view I care about (mine are running on their battery so I don’t have the option of motion zones), resulting in false triggers, (2) The camera waits too long to start recording after being triggered. When I walk to my front door I travel 15-20 feet before recording begins, and (3) The motion sensitivity has a slider between a person standing still and a person running. No explanation of how it works is provided so it’s difficult to determine how to set it. Maybe a better understanding of #3 would help with #2.

The setup was straightforward and fairly easy, picture quality is good. Placement of cameras had to be changed as I became aware of their functionality. One was too far from house, needed to be moved closer to pick up motion. Another was positioned to watch driveway, but wouldn't trigger until a vehicle was very close since it doesn't detect motion straight on as well as across the field of view.
There is a lag from time of push alert to the time when video from the activated camera loads and is able to be viewed, could be a minute later depending on the internet signal I suppose. When this happens, intercepting an intruder could be impossible.
Overall, it's a good system with limitations.

Wire-free, good image, plenty of features and services available without additional subscriptions etc...
This is a great system IF it meets your needs. For the occasional surveillance, or motion alarm... this thing is great. if you're expecting constant 24/7 monitoring and recording, your batteries will be drained unless you have the power hardwired in. I'd recommend it on the fact that it has the flexibility to go both ways. I have 2 cams jacked into power that i like to check on as a nanny cam... the others on their batteries and are only down a few percent in the last month.
one other thing about this 6 unit system is that you don't pay to hook up the 6th cam... if you start with a smaller system and add, you need to pay once you get over 5.

Very nice imagery, easy to set up. Completely wireless cameras that attach using magnetic bases. Magnets are strong enough that I don't think normal environmental will be a problem. But a problem is that there's no mechanism for powering them other than by charging the batteries. This limits battery life. I've been running mine for about three weeks now using the most power-conservative settings and the batteries are indicating under 50% charge. I don't project the battery life will meet the three to four months estimate, especially as the batteries age. Perhaps adding an auxiliary battery or providing USB power is feasible.
This might not be a problem for those who don't require extended unattended surveillance.

We got the Arlo pro because we wanted simple and safe home security. I must say I’m pretty pleased with what we purchased. The set up was a breeze and the cameras do everything they say they do. Night vision, speak through them, all that. We have had it about a month and so far we like it. Yes there is a little bit of a delay but it’s nothing terrible. You can see who is coming and what’s going on. One feature I would Have liked if they expressed a little more on was the zone restrictions. In order to set them the camera must be plugged in. That and the battery on just one camera hasn’t been the best. Out of 4 one is dead and the rest are about the same. Overall I’ve been pretty impressed with my purchase

The 4 cameras were bought as an add on to an Arlo 2 camera I already had. Setup was extremely easy. High quality camera with good video and night vision. Installation for more permanent locating is also simple with the small magnet housing. Doesn’t stand out visually and makes for easy maneuvering of camera, plus makes for easy removal for charging the cameras. App keeps all cameras organized well on main page along with the security lights that came with this package.
My only gripe is that I cannot individually silence notifications or arm/disarm each camera. It’s all or nothing. Maybe with a little more use I can figure out a trick to make it work.

We bought Two sets of Arlo Pro base station-and-4 cameras (that's over $1300.00) One set for home, one for the shop. I signed up for premier service, so we could watch all the cameras, remotely. Both bases stations quit working just out of warranty. They are really cheaply made. You can't get any real help from Netgear support (yeah, they own them) They only have tech support, they don't speak English, and they can't solve problems. They can't even issue a refund for the unused part of the monitoring plan. I have made several calls, and so far have racked up nearly two hours on the phone. Not only did they not issue a refund, but they have CHARGED OUR CARD! According to their website, (https://kb.arlo.com/1215141/How-do-I-change-or-cancel-my-Arlo-subscription-plan) you get a refund by changing your subscription to basic, and they will issue a refund to your credit card in 1-2 business days. I took a screen shot of the message on my account (see below) that stated this. Good thing I did, as I never got an email, nor a refund, and on the phone they tell me they don't give refunds, and that I need to call my credit card company. This is not my first issue with Netgear. I had a poorly performing router, once, too, and was never able to get tech support to help with that, either. Had I known they owned Arlo cameras, I would not have bought them. Do yourself a favor, and try to reach tech support before you ever buy any product. Also see how easy it is to get help with billing issues before you buy. You won't buy this product, if you do.
The cameras were really neat for the short time they worked, but it was a very short time for the price we paid, and now, I have to get extra charges off my credit card, and not just the refund we are due,

These cameras were very easy to install and set up. I have all sides of my house viewable and can see live images whenever I want from the Arlo App on my phone. The only things that haven't been as good as expected are the motion detection and battery life. I have adjusted the motion sensitivity down to a 10 (scale of 1 - 100) and this cam constantly alerts.for motion in area which in turn records a clip and uses battery. Hopefully, i can figure out what is causing it to alert because usually I see nothing moving. Other than that one camera the rest have been fantastic!

I was very hesitant on dropping the amount of money on this system... I am soooo glad that I did. These cameras are absolutely amazing. Such clear quality both day and night. The night vision is great. I love that the cameras have the audio and you can speak back and forth through them. The package does come with 4 magnet mounts and one outdoor mount. You can customize when and what cameras record for what reasons. I feel more safe since buying these. I love they are actually 100% wireless

So i did a bunch of research before buying and ultimately decided on Arlo. With that said there are some pluses amd minuses:
Pluses;
Small and compact, great battery life, easy set up, app is easy to use, picture quality is better than most.
Cons; Talk feature is so delayed amd sometimes does not work at all, random offline can be frustrating, there is a delay so sometimes images are behind actual real time
Again, for the cost and ease of use I recomemd this system. You will have some minor annoyances but overall a solid performer.

Poor software and hardware

Strike 3 Arlo
Strike 1 was Arlo support blaming my Arlo Baby issue’s on my network so returned.
Strike 2 was missing parts in a new Pro box so returned to Amazon for refund.
Strike 3 is Arlo Pro 2 purchased from BB
Where do I start.
1.The software is as far from intuative as it comes. The App instructions make it seem like you can use Geofencing to turn the cameras on and off when location is turned to always on. The issue is you have to log into the app for it to know your location so defeats the purpose of always monitoring your location. My other geofencing apps work awesome so clearly it’s a Arlo software issue. But when you do log in and it knows if your home it will not use your schedule so you are stuck with no video recording unless you are not home. Stupid stupid stupid!
Also when you do have notifications on geofencing there’s no way to turn off email notifications so your phone gets blown up twice over.
There’s also no way to continuous record onto the hard drive connected to the base station! I get you want to sell me a cvr plan but at $299 per camera per year that’s $1500 a year in video recording plans.
Ok onto the hardware
The water right plugs on the rear do not stay in place at all. They all work their self out within a few seconds which means I cant put them out in the weather because water can get into the connection!
The IR is very weak compared to other cams I have used. Even the Arlo Baby which was a seriously awful piece of hardware had better night viewing. I have to run flood lights in the areas the camera views as I cant make anything out.
If these issues are not fixed this will be the 3rd item from Arlo I will be returning and won’t be buying their products ever again.
Curious to know what they blame these issues on this time around.

I have had the cameras no for 2 years. So here’s the review.
Pro easy set up batteries last about a month give or take. Really good range on the wireless part of the cameras. Can move the camera daily if wanted. The camera back is a magnet so don’t even need a mount if your sticking to a metal frame or building. Night vision on is descent. Motion Activity is good new But fails after awhile. See cons below.
It did capture a group of guys trespassing trying to brake into the house. Which lead to the arrest of the 4 guys.
Cons
One camera died a week after the year mark on warranty. Arlo didn’t care. Support is poor from arlo. If you call they want you to pay.
Batteries are ok after year the life is cut in half on them. I order new batteries and just rotate them in.
The camera motion detection is terrible. Drive way cam will pick up every you don’t want it to. Possums raccoons spiders The sun moving etc. won’t pick up a car. Drive down the drive way tho and it upsets us a lot. Doesn’t matter if your driving slow or fast 80% of the time it will not pick up a car/ truck but will pick up a Turtle on the other side of the drive way. I have set the settings in different levels nothing.
The Good ole famous cloud..
If your camera record something when it is done recording it uploads to the cloud. If the internet is not working or it doesn’t upload right you lost all the footage and even a warring msg to your phone. I plugged in a USB drive for a local saving but it will not upload any info on the drive to the cloud once internet is back. You have to use a laptop to look at footage.
Over all story.
For the price I can get a basic IP camera system that does the same functions but better. Get face recognition, license plate ID and other items for the same price.

This camera works great. Had a little trouble integrating with some of my other smart home items, but after some research and more hubs I was able to get it working with everything. Night vision is great within 25 feet. Motion sensor and auto record work well, almost too well... I love that there are no wires at all, and the batteries are rechargeable, and supposed to last 3-6 months on a charge. Overall great system, and the cloud recording features are free unlike Nest.

I loathed the idea of purchasing home security because I was avoiding the hefty monthly fee to do so. After being introduced to the Arlo line, I purchased the 4 camera system and I'm so glad I did. It has been the most comforting investment I've made thus far for my family and business. I run an in home photography studio. With cameras in place, I am able to work in peace knowing my arlo system protects myself and clients. Set up was super simple. I was able to get my cameras online without the help of my husband. I really love how user friendly the Arlo app is as well. Notifications alert me when the system detects motion. This allows me to check in on my household at any time. Be prepared to charge your battery at least once per month if you place your camera in a high foot traffic spot. My daughter loves to do silly dances and watch herself on the app. Picture quality is decent. No complaints.

I have my Arlo Pro Wireless and work great day/ night and was really excited about new versin being 1080p, but upon comparing the 2 Arlos It came out in favor of older version specially at night. Picture dark and hazy. I don’t know if there will be firmware update to address this issue otherwise older one is still receiving my 5 stars. Overall its great security system for being wireless and simply controlled by smartphone or tablet.

These cameras are very good and were easy to install. Set up and connecting them to the base station also a piece of cake.
I purchased some accessories to mount permanently with a security chain. Since the 4 camera set only came with 1 secure mount and 4 magnetic mounts. I don’t particularly like the magnetic mount because someone can just walk up and take it if it is in reach.
I also purchased rubber skin covers to keep protected from the elements.
Aftermarket accessories were rather inexpensive compared to Alro accessories.
There are some things people should be aware of First off In order to use the camera to its full potential it has to be plugged in constantly. So if outlets are not available where you are installing the cameras this could be a problem. I knew that when I purchased the set so I was already prepared to buy extra power cables (the set of 4 cameras only comes with 1 power cord) of different lengths or prepared to install outlets close to where I mounted the cameras to keep them plugged in at all times. Having them plugged in gives you an extra 3 seconds of recording right before the motion that started the recording happens. It allows you to choose activity zones to set off recording.
It also keeps me from having to take them down or run an extension chord to recharge when necessary.
The only technical issue I have is the one camera that I currently have plugged in was giving me a very pixelated view when I kept it on the power setting “best video”. I chose that setting instead of a lesser setting used to preserve battery life since the camera was plugged in at all times. I had to change the setting to “optimized” in order for the camera to function properly. I believe it should function on all settings that is why the choices are there. I read in an online forum that other people also had this problem. I hope Arlo gets this resolved in the future with a firmware upgrade.
The cameras are very clear and the recordings look really good. I like the fact that you can speak and also hear audio from the Arlo App.
The fact that the alarm if used comes through the base station which is inside the house is good if you are using the cameras indoors. I use all mine outside so not really much help having the alarm go off inside and the person outside really can’t hear it.
Better than not having an alarm I guess.
Overall I am happy with the purchase. Like anything it is all about what features you need in your set up.
There are enough features to make them with the money I spent.
