I was looking for a wireless system than I could not only use my cell phone, but I could also use a computer to live stream and this system is great.

Great picture just has a delay but could be because of my internet

First things first, I have last year's Arlo Pro system also. The new cameras (Pro 2) sync to the same base as the original Arlo Pro, so if you already have a system you can simply add the new cameras and go. I have been using the original Pro for about a year now and love it. Frankly, the Pro 2 is the same as the original except for two points. One the Pro 2 now offers 1080p broadcasting and, two, it also allows for plugged-in continuous streaming too. The upgraded resolution is noticeable when you blow it up on a computer screen or view the cameras on say an Apple TV. Color also seems improved, so overall a very nice improvement there. As for the continuous streaming function you must have a paid account to use it and record the video to your Arlo account. Honestly, the latter would certainly be good in a commercial situation, but I am not so sure about around the house. Maybe it could be used as a baby monitor or if you are gone from your home a substantial amount of time. I don't need it and therefore haven't tried it. For me the win was the upgraded resolution. Otherwise, this is the same awesome Arlo camera system from last year. The cameras are weather resistant, offer night vision, and have 2-way audio. The cameras always connect to the base and I have had zero issues with video quality. The base offers a pretty loud siren and can send alerts to your mobile device. The system has geofencing capability, scheduling parameters, and now works with Alexa too. I don't have an Echo Show or FireTV so I have never tested that functionality, but it is there. Battery life is still remarkable. I use mine with motion activation at the front of my house and I live on a fairly busy street so they are on quite a bit. I have to charge them about every two weeks, but the one in my basement for monitoring my kids only has to be charged once a month or so. Either way, you don't have to worry about always charging them. I use the balanced video mode which extends battery life, but there is also a battery saving mode too which I would presume boosts the compression. I find balanced to be sufficient for battery life and still give me the visual clarity I am looking for. I am also still using the free account that allows for seven days of cloud backup. For me seven days is plenty of time, but one could pay for more time if needed. At least it is an option, but I think the free account will be plenty for most people. Overall, if you are in the market for a wireless camera system the Arlo Pro 2 offers a great package at a reasonable price. If you already have the Arlo Pro system and want to add cameras, take comfort knowing you can add the Pro 2 cameras with ease to your existing installation. Highly recommended.

Arlo Pro2 Security Camera System is an excellent alternative for your home security. I have mine for two months now and they work perfect. Highly recommend.

I will start off by saying these little cameras are pretty cool, and their adaptability to be placed nearly anywhere makes them appealing to many, including myself. I did a lot of research before purchasing a home security camera system, and ultimately landed on the Arlo Pro 2 cameras after a Geek Squad personal recommendation, plus the many great online reviews. I initially purchased the 4K Arlo Ultra system, as the upgrade in quality was worth the price in my opinion. However I returned them before unboxing as the required subscriptions didn’t make sense to me. With the Arlo Ultras, you have to buy the Arlo Smart Premier package for between $3-$15/month, and on top of that they will only store your 4K recordings in 1080p, you must pay another monthly fee for them to store them in 4K. This didn’t make sense to me which leads me back to the Arlo Pro 2 cameras. The quality is ok, but you get 7 days of cloud recording for free with no required subscription. After Geek Squad installed my cameras, one in my front yard and one in my backyard, I was initially pleased with the results. I set up activity zones and the cameras would send me notifications of activity on my iPhone. Pretty cool to see what happens outside my house late at night and when I’m not home. I will say the front camera picked up a little too much activity which drained the battery in about 10 days. This should be adjustable in the activity zone and sensitivity settings, but this is where I ran into problems. The cameras would start sporadically recording activity, and then just stop entirely. I researched online, and had Geek Squad troubleshoot for me. I unplugged, reset, and resynced everything multiple times over the course of several weeks. This worked once or twice, but then the cameras went 4 straight days without picking up anything, even when I stood right in front of them waving my arms. Everything was connected, synced, and I could see myself on the live camera feed. But nothing would record. After 4 weeks of trying everything to get these cameras to work, I ultimately returned them to Best Buy. My car could be stolen from my driveway 5 feet in front of the camera and it wouldn’t record. A Best Buy supervisor at the store when I made my return said she experienced similar reliability issues with her Arlos before returning them and purchasing the Nest Cam IQ. The unreliability of these Arlo ‘security’ cameras blew my mind, therefore I would advise against these cameras if you are really looking for a secure, reliable, home security camera system. I am going to look into a wired solution, which will require a more complicated installation than the battery powered Arlo’s, but I think that will be the most reliable. I hope this review helps others in their security camera search.

I had to return these not because something was wrong, they were a very nice product, but I was unable to use; no place to plug in where I needed them.
