I got these for my new house, a great deal for black Friday. But they are so laggy. Delay on these is off the charts. I got a ring wireless doorbell that connects faster and quicker with no delays. I would have them connected to power and still had a massive delays. Trying to have Alexa show 5 connect to the cameras also took a massive amount of time to view the camera. I would be better off getting up and see what is happening. By the time you could anything going on these cameras, 3 mins would have passed. I am returning these and getting ring cameras.

The battery life is complete trash (they will last you MAYBE 2-3 weeks if you're lucky. The live view option has a severe lag, and they randomly will show that they have been disconnected or the sound won't work.

      Hi vibeeesss,

We appreciate you taking the time to share your Arlo Pro 2 experience.

Please note, Arlo wire-free camera batteries last approximately 3–6 months with average use. Average use assumes that you are using Optimized or Best Battery Life video settings and that your cameras record for approximately five minutes per day. Increasing the length or quantity of video recordings in your camera's modes and rules decreases your battery life. Check out these tips on how to extend your Arlo Pro 2 camera's battery life: https://kb.arlo.com/291.

I had Arlo before and I loved it! But when I moved I decided to buy a new system. It came with a defective camera and unfortunately due to Covid I cannot return right now and I have to constantly reset the cameras because they don’t pick up everything. Just disappointed this time around

If you are looking for a wireless security camera, this might meet your needs. I installed one camera covering my back doors and one overlooking my driveway. It is mounted to the close side of my two car garage. The install was pretty easy. Hook up the supplied hub to your modem, then connect the camera's one at a time. Set up a log in for the iPhone app and it is up and running. The camera's are magnetic, which is pretty slick. You only need to secure the base with one screw. Now the annoying part. Everytime anything moves within its area, I get an alert on my iPhone. This can get pretty annoying. I had to wedge something under the camera base so that I could point it down enough so that it didn't cover the street. With the street in view, every time a car goes by I get an alert. With the camera now pointed down, I don't get the alerts from cars on the street anymore. Now other than people or cars in my driveway, I just get the squirrel that crosses the driveway once a day or so. The next thing I learned was about geofencing. You can set it up so you don't receive any alerts if you are home. I'm not yet sure if that is good or bad. I do have a different camera at my front door. It is active all the time, so at least I know when someone approaches my door anytime. The interface takes a little getting used to, but overall, I would recommend it. It does have a siren and you can talk to someone via your smart phone app,. I have not used those functions yet, but it is nice to know they are there. It doesn't seem to take too long from the time you get an alert to open your smart phone and hit the live button until you actually have a live image. Maybe 10 seconds or so. My other camera is a different brand and it isn't nearly as fast. I have the resolution set to conserve battery and the quality seems fine. I have not had the camera's that long, so I don't know how long the battery will last. Overall, I would definitely recommend this one if you are looking for a security camera.

Bought the Arlo Pro 2 system with 6 cameras before hiring a babysitter for our toddler. Devices worked fine and were user friendly for the first 1.5 months. Home base station went completely dead all of a sudden. Was shocked to see the poor reliability of equipment worth over $900. Went to the best buy store who directed me to Arlo as they cover the warranty. Called Arlo and put on hold for 20-25 minutes (this is the only way to contact them for questions or claiming warranty). Now I am told that an expert is reviewing the case and will be contacted when they determine a resolution. Would most certainly not recommend to anyone especially if you are in a desperate situation like ours where you have a babysitter coming in while equipment is disabled. Not made any easier when technical support is hard to get a hold of.

I wish I would have bought the hard wire set. I have sudden link wifi and I'm should have 400 mb, but I'm lucky to get 20 mb. My camera's are very slow, car comes by and leaves before my camera kicks on. ext, ext. But to be honest, I don't know because my wifi really suck's.

Hi-Def Video and Security for your home!

The Arlo - Pro 2 Security Camera System, 2-Camera Kit, Wire-Free, 1080p, Weather Proof, Indoor/Outdoor - White has been a pleasant addition to our home security despite the questionable reviews I have read in other places. Set up was simple, Syncing was easy, and Installation was a breeze. We have had a new level of security by adding these weatherproof wireless and rechargeable cameras to the outside of our home. We can see when deliveries are being made, when the pets want to come in the house, or even when the sales people or local religious group is coming to the house to hand out materials. Whether we are home or not, we can hear and see what is happening at our doors, talk to the person at the door via the cameras and our smartphone apps, or even sound an alarm if we feel the need to deter people from being at our house. A great addition for when the kids are home while we are out and we do not want them opening the door for anyone. PROS - Easy Setup and Installation - Weatherproof - LONG battery life!! - Short charging time per camera - Great Hi-Def video and picture quality during the daylight - Reasonable quality for night vision and dark - Motion and/or audio triggered recording doesn't run batteries dead - Free basic CVR (DVR) recording is more than sufficient for our needs - Able to add additional cameras, up to 5 total for total indoor/outdoor home coverage - Ability to view, record, talk, and even trigger the 100 db alarm all from your smartphone app CONS - The System seems to go "offline" occasionally and you have to force the system to come online either from home or from the app by interacting with the cameras. I am not sure if this is just a sleep mode feature that shuts off when motion or sound is detected or if it is a bug in the system. I have not figured this out as of yet. I have not had any issues with the recordings or viewing the cameras other than this. This is the only reason for giving 4 of 5 stars!

Bought a 4 pack of these cameras in October 2017. The cameras themselves are ok, but the charging cords are constantly breaking...they seem to be designed for the dump. The two charging cords that came with the cameras both stopped working while still under warranty. Arlo then sent me a new one which lasted only a few months, but stopped working after my warranty ended. I got them to send me another one after that which lasted one month. I just bought a new charging cord from Best Buy and added the Geek Squad protection for 2 years. At least now I have a piece of mind that they will be replaced for the next 2 years if this continues to happen.
