Very pleased with the picture quality of the videos. Detects movement - as a matter of fact, it's almost too sensitive. Will need to research ways to adjust sensitivity.

Overall this is a good system with good online management. I was a little disappointed that the delay in the camera actually reading motion. Certain intrusions or thefts could happen before the camera actually records the event. Additionally, I find it interesting that this was never mentioned in any of the many reviews written by highly respected sources. Maybe I expected too much.

This system was easy to set up and works great. The video is clear and and the batteries are lasting great. After a month of use they are down to 85% so I expect several months on 1 charge.

simple to setup. at our last house we had wired cameras and they are much nicer and less hassle once installed but much more difficult to install than these. setup of Arlo cameras is simple. depending on how many times they are triggered battery last a week to 2+ months. accessing videos online is easy as well with Arlo app. For a wireless camera it seems like a nice system.

The picture clarity both inside and outside is great. The one downside is battery life is really short if you don't have it plugged in and you have it in a high traffic area. There are things you can do to stop the barrage of updates, but you may not want to turn it off when it geolocates you (if someone is coming up to your house in the middle of the night you probably want an alert).

Good cameras for the price. Easy setup. Convenient for those who don’t want to run wires through the house. Only issue at times is the random loss of connection that occasionally happens. The voice communication feature is nice when it works but I notice on the pro 2s it’s a little buggy. The Arlo ultra was a good answer to all the issues with the older models.

the system is effectively providing oversight, but at quite the cost. I added a HDD for USB storage and a couple amenities that really should be included with the system. On the whole I find it simple to set up and use. It has required two restarts, one for the router and another for the base station which I performed remotely. All cameras were able to come online with the remote restart.

Love that this system is completely wireless and the batteries last a long time. The video is great during the daytime. The night vision is good up to about 25 ft then the video starts to darken. Only thing I would suggest is getting more of the bracket upgrades as the magnet mounts limit camera position and less sturdy. Overall, very happy with this system!

I spent a day installing these cameras around my house, and woke up a couple days later with an alert of a person detected at 3:00 am in the morning. When I checked the video, I saw a couple individuals trying to get into my car. The video was perfectly clear to see each person. I gave the videos to my local police department, and within a couple days they had arrested these individuals (who participated in quite a few vehicle break ins). When they saw the video, they confessed. The picture quality is great. The app is very easy to work with, and integrating with other smart home products is smooth and easy.

The thing is a breeze to set up. Once you unpack it, is as simple as plugging the hub into the, inserting the batteries into the camera, and then finally syncing them (which is just a touch of a button) Mounting the cameras with the magnet is just as simple, a single screen holds the magnetic mount and then the camera can point in a wide degree of angles. The magnet on the bases are great, I have one camera in there open in a windy area and I’ve had zero issues with holding up

The biggest drawback to the cameras is I live in MN and accessing the cameras when it is cold out causes an error message stating the camera temperature is out of range even though it's within the range by about 10 degrees. The resolution is ok, it would be hard to see license plate numbers if you were interested in that, but keeping an eye on the kids and dogs it works well.

My husband and I bought this and set it up asap. We use the free data storage. My recommendation for settings is turn sound trigger record all the way down or the Arlo Pro 2 will keep recording, a lot and burn through one battery in 3 days. Be creative and use your imagination for good hiding spots.

    • Brand response from Arlo Team
      Posted .

Thank you for sharing your Arlo Pro 2 camera review. Arlo Pro 2 camera batteries last approximately 3–6 months with average use. Average use assumes that you are using Optimized or Best Battery Life video settings and that your cameras record for approximately five minutes per day. The following environmental factors also reduce battery life:
      Temperatures below 32°F (0°C)
Low-light environments that require infrared sensors to work harder
Weak connection to the base station caused by distance, WiFi interference, or solid obstructions between camera and base station
