Great system. Installed inside and outside pretty easily. For low traffic areas, the batteries are great, but generally every two weeks in high traffic areas, you have to put them on charge for a few hours. Its not terrible for a wireless system but it is annoying. Planning on getting the solar panels for the ones outside to see how well they work at charging.

Cameras were very easy to install. They work great, and the app to access the cameras is simple to use. I’m very happy about my choice to go with Arlo.

These cameras were easy to install, battery life is good, but if cameras are in an active area they do run low. But to re-charge them doesn't take much time.

Super quality video, long battery life, easy to set up and use. If you add a USB hard drive I have 500GB, a whole week of videos are saved, no need to subscribe.

The Arlo Pro 2 is easy to setup. Range of the cameras is decent and the battery life is dependent on activity in the area. My low traffic areas have lasted well over a month whereas high traffic areas are about a week. Pros for me are that you are alerted right away if there is activity and good battery life. Cons: No continuous recording without power to the wireless cameras. Video resolution is said to be 1080p but videos save at 720p. Camera clarity could be better. Grainy when zoomed. Live viewing takes precious time to load. UI doesn’t default to a live view when a camera is alerted. Instead you wait to see what the camera has recorded. Clips are usually only 20 seconds and have a delay in detecting motion. This is a huge deal breaker for me. I recently had a vehicle broken into and the camera detected the perp walking up to the vehicle but did not continue after 20 seconds to record the actual crime. These are okay if you’re home and the alert goes off but there has to be a better option for the cost.

There is a slight time lag from the time the camera picks up motion until it notifies you(3-4 seconds) but it is sensitive enough to pick up a butterfly at close range or a piece of cloth moving in a breeze. Can be a little confusing to set up, and could include better instructions. Overall, though, very good for security of a home or business.

I think this security system is excellent! It had good quality video and his extremely sensitive to motion and sound it is also indoor and outdoor. It has a long battery life and I dont have to charge my camera very often. I feel safe whenever I travel because I can see everything that's going on at home right from my smart phone. I like the option to turn off the alarm but still send phone notifications for movement and sound because I have animals and they set the cameras off inside the house but the alarm doesn't go off so it doesn't scare them unnecessarily.

Cameras are of pretty decent quality. I personally bought extra long cables and wall adapters to keep them charged at all times. Then, if the power goes out, at least they are still recording. Range is decent, gets my whole house covered first floor and basement. Quality of picture is pretty good as well. I really like them. if you have alot of activity, you definitely will want to keep them plugged in. If its a shot of a place with barely any traffic, you might be able to get a couple months from a battery charge.

Before this purchase I owned Blink cameras. After using Arlo cameras these are the best by far. The picture is amazing. The app works great. Don't get me wrong, Blink does a good job too. However, Arlo has a better picture and overall a better system.

The only this that I have experienced which made this a 4 star and not a 5 star is the battery life drains so fast in my Kitchen unit because its a high traffic area. Otherwise, the optics are fantastic. It was very easy to setup. I may pay the $2.99/mo for facial recognition to see if the added AI changes the battery life. Overall, a great camera system. You can't go wrong.

The video quality is good, the only problem is if you are trying to mount the camera inside the motion detector doesn’t pick up through the glass.

If you are looking for a good quality camera system that is easy to install (ie. doesn’t require installing electrical outlets if not already close to the desired mounting location), this is the system for you. I was happy with it but returned for the Nest IQ Outdoor since I had already installed electrical outlets to take advantage of some extra features of the Arlo Pro 2 system. The Nest IQ is supposed to have better resolution that should give me the ability to read license plates of cars driving through our cul-de-sac since our kids play in front of our house. We’ll see once the Nest IQ cameras arrive...
