Cameras are easy to install and good enough to serve as a deterrent to anyone who might be considering entering the property. The cameras with the alarm are good.

I really wanted 2 cameras and this came with them. Even as a technically inept person, I found this do-able. LOVE this and would recommend highly. Now Arlo just needs to get a audio doorbell with camera in one AND open window/door sensors that go with the kit.

Purchased this sytem with 2 cameras, one for indoor and one outdoor. The picture clarity day & night is great and the battery life is exceptional. The indoor camera battery needed to be charged after 3 months but the outdoor camera still has 25% available battery life after 3 months.

This item did what it said it would do. Ease of installation and secures my house. That being said, unless you have someone already identified, you will not be able to convict a criminal actor with out additional, incriminating evidence. Cameras are good, but not pick out of a line-up good.

We live out in the country and have not been able to find a wireless camera system that really worked until now. Great pictures. Feel much more secure about leaving home now as this alerts us to movement around the house and we can check to be sure that nothing suspicious is going on.

Always wanted a camera system but don't want to deal with difficult set up? This is the easiest camera system to set up ever. Seriously, plug in base - connect cameras to base - put cameras wherever you want within 300ft range and flawless video!

I really like the arlo security system because it lets me know who is in and out of my house. I receive alerts with my phone and that makes it easier for me to look and keep track of any motion movements happing in my home. Great product! I’m happy with it!

It seems to be a good system, true wireless as some systems say wireless but you have to power the cameras. Easy to set up and arm and disarm. Picture quality is great and free 10 day cloud storage is nice.

Set up was very easy. 15 minutes tops. Screwing in brackets for the cameras outside took the longest time out of all the steps necessary to get the system operational. My only complaint would be that the cameras are not 1080. If they were this would be by far the best system on the market!

    Wonderful Wireless Cameras

The Arlo Pro system is my first experience with wireless cameras. That being said, it has made a wonderful impression on me. Let’s start with the basics, the Arlo Pro I have been using came with the base and two cameras. The biggest struggle I had in setting it up was getting it out of the origami style packaging. Once all of the pieces were removed from the box it came down to plugging in the base to my router, installing the camera batteries, pairing each camera individually to the base (which is basically a one button operation), and installing the app on my phone (which is available in either Android or iOS flavor). Arlo requires you to set up an account and there are different tiers based on how many cameras you are using and how much video you want to store in the cloud. For me, I selected the free account which is good for up to five cameras and seven days worth of cloud storage. Once I followed the step-by-step in the app to pair the system to my account I was off and running. It was simple and elegant. The star of the show are the new Arlo Pro cameras. They offer 720p video coupled with night-vision and full two-way voice communication. The video they produce is excellent, especially considering they worked without a hitch even on my busy home network. The night vision mode works very well and reminds me of a trail cam used for hunting. Excellent overall definition and smooth seamless video. The range of the camera is quite good. I have them placed more than 100 ft from the base, through a couple walls, and have had no issues. The microphone is quite sensitive and can pick up a near whisper from about ten feet. The cool thing is the ability to use the camera as an intercom and converse remotely through the app. Works pretty well, but it does act like a walkie talkie setup in that both parties can’t speak at the same time. The biggest surprise for me is the battery life which I figured would be a problem with the wireless setup is, in reality, outstanding. I have been using the cameras for a week and still have over 90% of the charge remaining. Lastly the cameras do come with wall mounts which are magnetic on the camera side to allow the cameras to be easily removed for charging. The magnets are very strong and allow easy adjustment of the cameras once placed. Next up is the wireless base. The only reason I am mentioning it at all is that it has one hidden trick up its sleeve, a siren. The small box looks pretty unassuming and like another piece of networking gear expect it comes armed with a 110db siren. Even the app suggests that if you manually trigger it to make sure you are well away from it. While it is indeed loud it really isn’t audible from outside a house so your neighbor most likely wouldn’t hear it, but if you live in an apartment I assure you the neighbors will. It is a great deterrent regardless and a nice add-on. Just make sure you can place the base someplace open as sticking it in a closet would negate the feature. On to the software itself. The Arlo system can either be controlled from a web browser or through the dedicated app. There is also an AppleTV app which makes the system even more fun to use. Each app has all of the functionality of the web based control so you can feel free to use whichever is most comfortable. I primarily used the system on my iPhone and it has worked great. It evens supports TouchID making the login process super easy. There are tons of options for the system allowing one to use it in all manners of situations. They offer both motion and audio detection when in “Armed” mode meaning that they could be used for surveillance. Once the cameras are activated the system will upload ten second clips to your Arlo account. With the free account, Arlo will keep the video for seven days. The system can also notify you via e-mail or through your phone’s notification system each time the camera is triggered, but if you live in a house like me with kids and animals you will quickly disable the feature or you will be swamped with notifications. There is also a geo-fencing option meaning that you can set a perimeter to engage the system. In other words, you could set it so that it will arm itself when you leave the house and then disarm when you return. Since I am using it more for keeping an eye on my kids when they are downstairs I leave the cameras in the disarmed setting and simply look in on them every now and again. Makes parenting even lazier when you factor in the two-way communications. As a whole the system is really quite remarkable. I have been using them for just over a week and I have not experienced a single issue with them. No disconnects, no crashing apps, no dropped video. It just works and works well. The price of additional Pro cameras is a bit daunting if you want to expand the system and I am also not entirely sure if much of my great experience is due to the fact that I only have two cameras and have not been taxing the system, but so far the system is a definite recommend to anyone looking for a wireless camera setup.

This system was great to setup. Super easy quick and the resolution is amazing. It has a speaker so you can talk to people also through it. The app will send you information and clips automatically. It is a great item to add for piece of mind.

I previously had the Netgear system. It was good, but the Arlo Pro is great! I like the audio feature and the email alerts. While monitoring the cameras, you can speak by pushing a button on the app. People near the camera can actually hear you. I don't know why I waited so long???
