    If the object is more than 10' away it is difficult to make out and does not read license plates. It seems as if it prevents the camera from seeing the license plate

    Not worth the money. Had the GEEK squad back 3 times. Salesperson was not as knowledgeable as GEEK squad. However, the GEEK squad went above and beyond to make it work properly.

    I never write reviews but I am now. I bought this camera yesterday and set it up (about an hour start to finish) I was very happy with quality has about 3-4 second record/live lag which is expected in my eyes. However woke up this morning to find one of my camera has already died and now isn't charging. And for $650 I expect it to last longer than that. Yes you can go in and change when it records but not enough setting options in my eyes. I will be returning this item this week. And might pay the money to get professionally installed.

    -I have 5 cameras installed. They missed a lot of event even in clear day. The only functionality is live view in my iPhone or iPad other than live view not worthy the expensive price. I have a swann wired system 8 cameras and I want to cover some gaps. These cameras missed almost every motion event even in the best quality video and sound. I still relay more in my wire system and move these cameras inside the house to garage, office, kitchen, living room, porch I Do not recommend these camera as reliable surveillance system.

    The like the cameras but have had multiple issues with them charging. Was going to buy some for our house but I think I’ll go another route

    The cameras themselves are great but the software to monitor them is riddled with glitches. If it weren't for the battery power I would have returned them and bought the Dropcam.

    I am in impressed with the android application for Arlo. If I get a motion notification and select it on my phone it will cause my phone to glitch and not take me to the arlo app.

    battery sucks. needs better depth sensor control. after a year one camera stop reading battery. sigh. spend the time and money for real cameras you wont regret it

    Customers who are looking to purchase this otherwise excellent hardware, should be aware of the recent iOS App update which has removed essential notifications regarding battery wifi signal and motion detection from the main screen. The new user interface is a terrible design, a huge step backwards and certainly should be considered not fit for use vs the version it replaced. Customers are complaining everywhere; (just search on Arlo Pro forum for “Re: iOS App Update - why change the layout?”, Social media and reviews on other retail sites), but Arlo has so far refused to acknowledge the problem, nor provide any indication if/when it will be fixed. I would seriously reconsider purchasing this until their App is fixed. Also, consider if you want to be stuck with a product when the company behind it don’t seem to care, or respond to negative feedback from many of their customers on their own forum.

    These super easy to setup and use are just what we were looking for. NO CORDS. Put them where you want inside or out. Since they are battery operated which is easily recharged at the included base station they can be located exactly where you want them located without consideration of where a power outlet exists or needs to be added. Battery life will be dependent on temperature, connectivity and motion in front of the camera. Ive had one outside thru temps of 18° F to 70° F (all in one week), rain, snow and frost and it functioned as it should and still is on the initial charge of the battery. I have the other inside (at least for now, I can move both at will because of the no wire feature) and it also functions perfectly. Clean crisp images in normal indoor lighting, out in the sun and the night vision which is good up to around 25' are easy to see and understand on the app on my phone or the arlo netgear website. Im very glad to have these cameras and cant wait to really familiarize myself with all the features and use them more efficiently.

    Love the camera but after using it off and on for a year the battery is shot. Doesn't stay charged and hasn't been used that much.

    I dont hate them. They work. But the app isnt great. Had issues hooking up, easy enough to work around. Will use til I find one that works a little bit better

    I bought this camera system thinking it would work for me but when I got home One camera would Drain the battery in two days tried switching batteries leaving the camera plugged in still no fix. I called for tech support And They had me do the same thing. After 5 calls they said they would replace it and they would send me a email in 2 day. A week later no email and no camera. Other thing is you have to paid for more Features in a app for each camera.

    I placed the home unit in the center of my house as I wanted to cover the corners of my house. I placed one camera about 60 ft from the home base. The signal could not be received through four walls. A camera placed 15 ft away worked well with a clear picture. Arlo's phone support is the poorest I have ever used. They did not know the product and communication in English was nearly impossible.

    It misses a lot and doesn't pick up all motion detection. It's slides down from.the magnet so you can't position it where u want it to aim. I am thinking of returning.

    Definitelt wouldnt have paid full value. Had to take the first set back once becauee one of the cameras were malfunctioning. Been working ok since.

    Purchased product, firmware wasn't updated, took multiple attempts to get base station to update. After 7 weeks of use, base station stopped working, due to manufacturer requirements, I wasn't able to return it to Best Buy. I'm now waiting for someone with Netzero, Arlo to respond to my repair request. For a product that costs over $600 I shouldn't have to be dealing with a broken base unit and slow process to get it replaced/fixed. Too bad, I really like my netzero modem, but security product not so much.
