I bought 3 camera system Base to any of 3 camera didn’t connect. Returned it. Don’t buy

This is an excellent system. Easy to install, easy to use app, push and/or email notifications for motion and/or sound detection for each camera, 7 days of free cloud storage per camera, siren on the bridge that can be activated remotely with the app from anywhere, 720p color video with night vision, cameras have the ability to zoom in remotely, it's all there. I had 4 camera's installed and running in about 2 hours. The system is capable of more cameras and you can extend the cloud storage for a few dollars a month of you want. Each camera has a microphone and a speaker so you can listen and talk to whatever is in front of it. Motion and sound sensitivity are adjustable or can be turned off. Multiple users can access the system with the app when permission is granted. The cameras link to the bridge wirelessly which means they are not hogging local network resources. There is a lag to it, about 3-5 seconds. That's about the only downfall it has. No wires to run other than the network cable from the bridge to your router and its power cable. Cameras have rechargeable batteries that can be charged in the camera with a supplied USB cable or you can purchase a spare battery and charger for $50. My most active camera which goes off 15-20 times a day is at 91% after a week of use. System can be viewed from an app on your phone or from a PC. It costs more money than a wired system, but it would have taken me 2 days to install a wired system plus wired systems are a bandwidth hog on your internet when viewing remotely. I have a 20 Mbps DSL connection that i stream TV with along with the Arlo and no glitches. For the money it's far easier to install (anyone can do it) and its easy to use from anywhere.

I have ARLO CAMARAS , prior to this ones . And I’m very disappointed that for the money this package was not better then my old ones I returned them because there was some one at my door , alarm dint go off , I could talk , I kept freezing. And with my older one I was able to yell at the person

Netgear Arlo Pro I received this product in exchange for a review. I was a customer of the first generation Arlo and base station, and I have generally been happy with the product. The new Pro cameras and base station mark a solid improvement on the first generation. Overall, this product met my expectations for it, and I would recommend it to any friends or family looking for a wireless camera system. Setup was simple. Once you install the app, it guides you through the setup process. Additionally, you can set it up from the web. I was able to add this as a second base station in short order. Mounting or placing the cameras was easy as well. I was able to re-use two of the mounts I had already set outside in replacing two original Arlo cams with these two. But, had I needed to install new ones, the previous setup was the same, with only the need for a single screw. I had these up in running in under half an hour. The base station is about the same size as the first generation but with a different footprint. It sits upright and is oval shaped instead of being a flat panel that leans back on an arm. Additionally, it includes an alarm. The alarm sounds similar in tone and volume to a smoke detector. It can be manually triggered from a button press in the app, or configured to go off with motion or sound when the cameras are armed. Since I setup my cameras outside, I didn’t utilize the alarm feature. The cameras themselves are slightly larger than the regular Arlo cameras, likely due to the increased hardware specs and size of the rechargeable battery. However, the overall footprint isn’t noticeably larger unless they are side by side. One improvement is the addition of a microphone and speaker in addition to the camera. That means that the cameras can start recording on sound, too. The recording and live footage are an improvement over the first generation, and they also include audio, which is nice. I’ve been happy with their ability to detect anything going on outside. The big feature of the Pro for me is the rechargeable battery. I put the cameras in use for several weeks before writing this review, because I wanted to see how the battery would perform over time. After 3+ weeks of being armed for sound and motion as well as being exposed to Ohio winter weather, the battery has only gone down about 10 percent. Since the batteries came precharged, I haven’t been able to test the charging speed. However, I assume the downtime won’t be overbearing. This is a big plus in my book over the first generation. Each camera required 4 of an obscure battery size (cost between about $1.50 and $2.50 per battery where I’ve found them online) and needed changing a few times a year. That’s one more expense you won’t need with these cameras. With the added set of features, this comes with a bit of a price bump over the regular Arlo cameras. However, since this won’t require you to purchase new batteries on a regular basis, there will be some cost savings over the life of the cameras. I would say given the feature set available, this security system and cameras is listed at a good price. Finally, I know Arlo is trying to push this system as a cloud recording system with an optional subscription service, but I wish they provided a way out of the box to save recordings locally. That would be the one improvement I would like to see.

Arlo Pro finally did what Arlo and countless others have been trying to accomplish for years! They successfully created a 100% wire free camera for indoor/outdoor that 1) has amazing battery power 2) crystal clear image 3) strong wireless reception 4) spectacular ease for set up 5) a perfect app 6) an alarm with the system 'a very loud one at that' 7) high end motion sensors that works great 8) great notification system 9) FREE CLOUD space for a week! eliminating annoying and rediculous fee based plans 10) works outside in extreme temperatures 11) works with power cord or the wire free lithium battery 11) Arlo Pro is a system that delivers on all the promises I have purchased and returned countless systems over the last few years including Arlo standard. Nothing in the wireless space held up to the wired systems. ARLO PRO finally cracked that code and I am so excited about it! I will update this as time goes by but after 3 Days it's perfect. (I hear rumors that solar panels will be able to keep the units powered in the near future (like The Ring's system that imo is extremely sub part to Arlo Pro). I look forward to that add on.)

I have had these cameras since August and I have to say that I am extremely disappointed in these cameras, especially with the high ratings. These cameras have some serious lag time that is really frustrating. I set them up all around my house as I am still waiting on it to be repaired from the hurricane. Since putting then up, things continue to be stolen. The cameras will pick up every single car and the wind but barely pick up when someone walks past. It's ridiculous and like I said I'm highly disappointed. The cameras are set up in a way that all blind spots are covered but they still miss important things, like tires getting flattened or a whole four wheeler getting stolen. Like for real though! Smh It's too late to return them, so I'll probably end up selling them.

I was unsatisfied with the range and battery life.

Do not buy any of the Arlo cameras, they won’t work when it is too cold or too hot in this type of weather they will be offline more than they are online. Depending on the day I can drive right into my driveway and down my camper pad and the cameras will not pick me up it does work nice if you want to sneak home without the wife knowing. The cameras almost always start recording late so you miss half of what is happening. Save yourself money and headaches do not buy these cameras, look for something different because they are probably my worst purchase ever.

The camera and base station very easy setup. Dislike the delay in activation/recording.

Wasn’t what I expected . Didn’t pick up all video . Sound was poor .

Bought this right before a trip to keep an eye on things. Would have been great if the base wasn't dead on arrival. After waiting 25mins for a human to answer the support line (not in the US good luck understanding anyone) and 45 minutes of unplugging and pluggging back in which I knew would do nothing, they deemed it a dud and said to return it to the store and try again. Sorry Arlo I'm not a beta tester for you and have lost my business. Should have read more reviews or gone one step further and looked at your support forums to see just how many people are having problems with your products. Lesson learned.

Motion sensor goes off sometimes like crazy. Smh. Need to fix that and more people access.

I wanted a camera that would tape when someone walked by or talked and it only does for approx 6 seconds.Even after I went back to Best Buy and they helped me set it for 3 minutes. It did not work. I also need to see it on a constant monitor and you can only see one camera at a time. It is very expensive to have it as a motion detector. Not what I wanted. And if I do need to record something then I better have seen it and set it myself. But then it times out and has to be reset. UGH! I like the wireless part. But not being able to watch my home but one camera at a time is not what I wanted. I would like to return it. Including the Smart TV that they sold me that will not work with the system. Very unhappy.
