So I was very excited to open the package and get Arlo set up. My first panic was there was no mention of Windows or how to set up without an Android, iXXX, or Google device. Luckily, I recently went to the dark side with an android tablet, which for the sake of ease, I grabbed and downloaded the Arlo App. With the App you don't need any of the instructions that come in the box. It guides you through account creation, base station set up, paring of the cameras and brings you to very nice HD video from said cameras with out so much as a pause in the process. My next worry was range. As my router is in the basement and I wanted one of my cameras outside in an area where I get spotty Wi-Fi at best. However, the signal between the camera and base station was surprisingly strong and even well outside the range of my router I was getting great picture and video. All the settings for alarms and notifications are easy to manage. I am considering getting another couple of cameras to add to the system. So, what about my Windows dilemma? There is mention of supported browsers so I sat down at my trusty PC and navigated to Arlo.com. There I clicked on "My Arlo" and was able to sign in. The interface was identical to the one on my tablet and I was again at piece with the world. This was not complete as I reached for my Windows Phone and tried the same trick. The mobile site had no provision to log in as one would on a PC. I know Windows Phone is not as popular as the other OSs on the market but its not like I have the only one. Yet again I am discriminated against because I want all my devices (save one) to be on the same platform. It is for this reason that I give 4 stars and hope that some developer out there takes pity on my and gives me an app in the Windows store.

Not a big fan of wireless camera systems due to image quality and just being wireless in general. First off the packaging was a pain and lacked quality but that doesn't kill the product, just wasn't fun to open. Setting up the equipment was quick and easy except for trying to unwrap the plastic sealing the batteries, it didn't come off in one piece and was just a hassle. The cameras are completely wireless with rechargeable batteries and come with a magnetic mounting kit or can stand on a shelf or flat surface alone. It does come with only one charging cable so you wouldn't be able to charge them at the same time (would have been a great touch) or leave them plugged in continuously. The cameras have a nice feel and quality to them but the base station seems cheap, but it just sits there so I assume it will be fine. Downloading the app and setting up the cameras was the fastest product I have ever set up and I have tried many other wireless cameras. The app is pretty smooth, I have only dabbled in it though. The cameras have amazing quality (day and night) and a great speaker and mic function. But I think my favorite feature is the siren, wow that sucker is super loud and I am sure would detour or disorient a intruder. Free cloud recording is a plus and would be fine for the two camera option. If you are going to have more cameras or quite a bit of motion recording then you may have to upgrade to a monthly plan that cost $$ but nothing crazy. The video delay seems to be about 5 seconds, there is a boost option for set up but I did not see an improvement. I think this is a great product for the cost and seems like it will last for years to come. I don't think anyone would be disappointed if you are planning on putting this in your home. Great for a safe, kids room, garage, nanny cam etc.

These cameras are very easy to set up on WiFi and mounting is quick and easy as well. The picture is clear and crisp. The live camera does not have any lag. The app notifies you immediately when any motion is detected and advises which camera and pulse up the recording of the movement. The night vision is clear. These cameras have the option of utilizing rechargeable batteries which is a huge savings considering the price of batteries for each unit. The I Telcom on the two way talk is very clear and easily heard. It does not have that stifled intercom sound. I was originally considering buying the ring which is a doorbell that notifies you when the person presses the bell and enables you to see them and have two way communication with them, but the best buy rep said since I was getting this system anyways then I could use one of them to work the same as ring would work and that it would actually notify me well before the ring would notify me since I don't have to wait for anyone to press a button. He was right. I am notified the moment someone begins walking up my driveway and I am able to speak to them and they hear me and I hear them clearly. I am more than happy with this purchase. The app works perfectly and I am able to see all 4 cameras on one screen simultaneously and then click know on any that I want to see and it pulls up that particular camera. I would highly recommend Arlo

Purchased this Arlo Pro Camera and tried for 5 months. Each month progressively got worse. One camera failed due to the power connection in the back breaking and the batter will no longer take a charge. Way to many false notifications, even with the sensor set at less than 50%. Battery constantly draining. If a leaf blows it goes off, but when a vehicle or person passes its view and does not thing. To boot, you can't even get a hold of Netgear to trouble shoot. No numbers, nothing. Also, if you want to return for warranty, you have to pay the shipping to fix their terrible workmanship. I want my money back.

ordered these as a gift for my mom as her back door got kicked in, read reviews, great features and price. my husband works a lot so i figured i'd download app and get registered. app wouldnt open, neither did webpage to register so i called the 800 #, and was told nothing would work, including cameras without first paying a registration fee of over 100$, i think it was 120 but not totally sure, for a year, i could pay 1 yr, 2 yrs or lifetime. no where on best buy site, netgear site or even amazon did it say there was a registration fee, just reviews about how good of a product and free features including a week of cloud storage, so i'm disappointed, and the cameras are going back, to me free features dont cost over 100$ a year

Seen a lot of positive review but the quality of the video is terrible. Pixelated and slow. The only thing good is the installation where you do not need to run wires/cables.

Poor battery life in camera have the 4 cam set up but only 1 being used until garage is built. The infared is only good indoors otherwise it's washed out by its own relection of light. What a waste of money should have bought a hard wired set up.
