Purchased this as gift for my son moving into his new apartment. Set it up and one of the cameras would not pick up motion right out of the box. Called Arlo 800 number and they said it was faulty but wanted us to pay to ship (new camera) back to them. Said that’s ridiculous we just bought it. So we took back to store( originally bought on line since it was not available in store I was shopping. They said they couldn’t do any thing since it had been over 15 days and we hadn’t bought the extended warranty. A really piece of work Best Buy.

I like this but you need extra cameras that gets expensive

I love the camera but the microphone had a lot of issues.

I was hoping to replace my wired Nest Cams with these but upon setting them up, I barely got 20 ft away and the delay was 10-15s! They use their own little hub, which severely limits their ability to be placed throughout the house, where my mesh network is omnipresent.

These work okay but aren't good for high traffic areas.

This is a very basic unit that isn't user friendly and the sounds have a 20 second delay.

Does not hold a charge if you need cameras on at all times. We own a business and I was hoping I could have then on all day and night with no issues. The battery needed to be changed or charged every 3 days. You must buy the crazy expensive extra batteries to save yourself from having to take the cameras down and connect it to the charger. He zoom in feature is. It bad however it must be placed directly over the registers or it useless. I think they are very overpriced for the hassle. We will be paying for a company to just come out cameras in and install the DVR. Take a pass.

Do Not Purchase if you have IOS devices. They have been working on a fix for an error that doesnt let you view clips on your devices since April 2019. Have been in contact with the company and they have been no help what so ever. Standard response is their technical team is aware of the issue and working on it. It is a shame because it was a great system when it worked.

only records ten seconds at a time. Easy to install

I regret buying this Arlo product. Always having issues with connections and delay notifications. Definitely not a product to have when seconds counts. I bought a $25 Wyze camera that worka a lot better than this Arlo system.

My original Uniden WiFi Security Camera System finally failed, so I needed another WiFi system to replace it (I live in a large two story house, so a hardwired system isn't a good option for me). The furthest camera from the Base Station is 75 feet away, goes through four walls and one floor without any problem. Here is the Good: Set up is a breeze, you get free rolling 7 days and 1 GB of free cloud service for up to five cameras (and expandable to more). Live View, download clips to your phone, computer or to the base station via usb. You can schedule recording times, change record quality, change the sensitivity of the motion sensors, change the length of recordings up to 120 seconds, turn on/off night vision, turn on/off sound and Disarm/Arm the cameras all with the App on your smartphone or computer. Siren at the Base station if needed. Having a battery pack that lasts for up to six months and being waterproof means you can place it almost anywhere. Here is the not so good: Not 1080. Because its WiFi, Live view has a little lag. Magnetic Ball mounts, while a cool idea, is a Very Dumb Idea outside. Using the screw on mounts make it just as easy to steal because there are no cables attached. (I ended up making my own anti theft brackets for outdoor placement). No local storage options, while you can download the clips to a usb drive from the Cloud to the base station, it would also be nice to record straight to the usb locally. All of my arlo Pros I mounted I attached 15 foot micro usb cables to, it would be nice to have the option of continuous recording like the arlo Q since power for me is no issue. All in all its a Good security system. -1 star because they are too easy to steal. (at the very least they should put a motion alarm on them if moved)

When activity starts to the time it starts recording is a huge delay. So much so that I was able to walk to my vehicle and get in and leave and the camera did not start recording until it was out of the driveway and gone.

Worked great up until the batteries needed to be recharged. Cannot recharge batteries. After investigation online, found out this is a normal occurrence and NetGear has worthless customer service! Cannot get a replacement! Do Not buy!!

We were trying our best to be satisfied with this system but just couldn’t get over the 10 to 20 seconds of lag time between motion. It is not a true real time surveillance even with high speed internet and 5 feet from the router.

Be looking for different cameras in the future $300 to 500 a system that hardly works is not worth it and keeps going up when I got ones for 1/2 the price and work better from another company and did not price match.

It was easy to install and good performances and sound but the battery is about 1 month long only. it was paint to take them off and charge battery. I am not recommend it to friends because i have much time to take them off for charging and put them back.

I thought this under recommendations from the internet because they were Wireless and were supposed to have a long battery life the batteries were dead within a week they would not stay online when I called the company to ask them about the product they said they would send me an email and a new power cord and never did I return them to the store for nest cameras

There is a lot of false advertising associated with this product. The battery life and range isn’t even close to what is advertised. Two of the six cameras I have completely stopped working. The customer service is awful.
