    Disappointing product and customer support

One camera broke within one week of purchase. Called customer support, was on the phone for over an hour only to find out I had to be transferred to another line to attempt to get a replacement, which was not guaranteed at this point. Immediately removed all cameras and returned the product to Best Buy, who gave me a complete refund. Happy with Best Buy; not so much with cameras and customer support. Could not imagine the support I would have gotten after 90 days.

Camera false trip constantly, have down load the latest up dates and they still do it, if I had kept the the original package I would return it. You can not understand anything on the microphone either

    Amazingly Convenient, Flexible Security System

The setup for these cameras is wildly easy since the cameras are rechargeable. This means that you don't have to worry about any wiring, you just have to charge them up when necessary. This flexibility alone gives Netgear's Arlo Pro security cameras a huge advantage over most any other security setup out there. The video produced by the cameras is clear, and you have several options for saving the video. You get free cloud-based storage with the purchase of the unit, and can also save video locally on a USB drive. The night vision video was surprisingly clear for 20-30 feet, which outperforms some other security cameras I have worked with. The system also features a 100+ decibel siren, which can be activated remotely, or be set to go off when sound or motion is detected. Needless to say, the siren is loud and effective. My favorite feature of the cameras is their 2-way audio capabilities. I am now using one of these cameras to monitor my front door to keep an eye out for packages, etc., but now, when a solicitor comes, I can see them on the camera, ask what they are selling, and dismiss them if I am not interested. This is a huge convenience, especially if I am in my workshop in the back yard. The downsides to these cameras were minimal. First, the motion activated video seems to take about a second to start up. Also, the cameras only record at 720p, however, this is part of why the rechargeable batteries last so long, and 720p video should be more than adequate for any security setup.

Purchased in May. In Aug one of the cameras stopped working. After setting on the phone for a long time and the rep trying to say the battery just needed charged, they eventually agreed to replace it. I had to tell him 10 times I already tried a charged battery from all 4 cameras in it, these batteries work perfect in the other 3 cameras. He did not want to replace the defective camera. Then after setting on the phone an hour, documentation didn't have RMA, had to call back to get it. Huge pain.

This camera does not work at all. I’ve tried it at all angels and sides and it records absolutely nothing. Literally, it alerts me if the wind blows but never once has it picked up on someone coming inside my fence or walking up to my door. I’ve reported this to Arlo Headquarters on more than one occasion, went through the entire process of getting another camera and a month later I still have yet to receive the replacement. Ridiculous! I paid for the extra protection but a lot of good that has done me. A huge waste of money. Don’t buy!

Notifications and sensors are not that great. If you just need and camera which records activity and you get lucky then yes . If you need something 100% reliable for security please skip it.

The delay from activity to notification is 15-20 seconds. Batteries need charging too often. Employee told me to purchase extensions for battery charging. BAD advice.

Very unhappy with them they really don’t show live video, the battery was “supposed to last about 6 months I have had them for about a month and I’ve received an email that the batter is at 15%, when you speak into the camera they can hear you but you can not hear what they are saying a few lags their the quality is okay during the day at night it is very poor, not as great as they make it seem or advertise them definitely not worth the price I certainly wish I would have kept the boxing for return.

These cams had been purchased before and returned. I had an issue because the previous owner had altered some settings on these cams. These were sold to me as new!

I ended up having to return this camera. It just wan't easy to set up and I couldn't resolve the issue with the spotty camera connection. I ended up going with the Ring.

Batteries drained so fast and not recording. I had to charge them every hour to keep them full of charge, I spend $600.00 for it and it’s not worth it.

Junk. 4th camera keeps disconnecting. Second, one of the cameras night vision doesn't work properly. Believe me when I say this. I'll try to exchange it once but it's causing nothing but headaches. Motion also doesn't work if pointed out a window. Also junk! Tried to upload a pic of a screenshot that says my camera is offline and how dark the night vision was on one camera but best but app isn't working right. Junk again!

My camera is not more than 25 feet from it's base, indoors. Video is poor quality and pixelates . If this is ok with you, then you might be interested in purchasing "Arlo Pro".

There is a known issue with the internal wires. The internal wires get worn from opening and closing the door to change the battery, and will probably cause the camera to eventually not be able to receive a charge. I've had 2 out of 4 cameras replaced in less than a year, and had to hand out the shipping costs - each time. Netgear/ Arlo needs to address this. Should have went with Ring, but liked the so-called wireless option. This camera set is not at all worth the price point or hassle.

After have this system along with 2 others for over a year it is safe for me to say Arlo security cameras are the absolute worst on the market. They will pick up a bush moving in the breeze but will not register if someone comes to your door. Lag in recordings, 90% false notifications, very buggy app, and horrible “customer service”. What more could you ask for in a high end product?

I purchased the cameras after I spoke with the Best Buys Representative in that department. I went to purchase the hard wire system and was informed about the wireless. I was sold that the system was wireless and was the best camera set in the market. WELL......the camera are junk. They don't always work, it is offline more then online. The motion on the cameras also don't work 3/4 of the time. I do not recommend these cameras and the customer service also is not helpful!!!!!!

Was excited to have this camera to provide a sense of security for my home. Unfortunately the battery that is supposed to last for 4-6 months dies every other day so the camera reads “offline” more often than not. Netgear reps had me bring it in and plug it inside my house and said that was the solution to the problem. This solution doesn’t work considering the whole purpose of purchasing the camera was to be able to see what is going on outside of the house. Very disappointed overall
