Battery leaves much to be desired with in a week the battery indicated it needed to be charged. I took this product back to the store. Went with Canary instead.

Base station always disconnecting. Not even one year in use and having so many issues. Very displeased. Easy to set up but what’s the point of an easy setup if it doesn’t even work 50% of the time

There is about a 5 second delay on recording. Also base goes offline a lot and I have to reset. Not worth the price.

Did not like the size and features compared to Ring. I had to return and bought the ring news cameras. The app works great with the ring door bell.

The night vision on this camera is terrible. It would let me know if some one came in to view but i could not see them if they were more then 4ft away.

I returned the Arlos because although the cameras worked well their app constantly fails. The Ring cameras do not have a base to connect to which may be why they work better.

The base quit working after about 6 months. We also tried to sync new ones to the original cameras with a new base and they don’t worlk together.

I first thought this Arlo camera was great until I figured it would not pick up motion that is straight into the camera. I needed mine for a narrow walkway and it does not detect motion

Camera is not good enough, battery life is short. Can’t turn off notifications, maximum 24 hours. And pretty expensive plus have to pay for storage video.

This is a disaster of a product and the customer service which is located in the Philippines is even worse. Buy a Nest cam and thank me later :)

I am beyond impressed with this product. The packaging was great. The setup process is really what amazed me. I set most of it up on my own without directions, but it was so easy and smooth that I referred to the directions to make sure I was not missing any steps, it was that simple! The app is very easy to navigate and set up. Setting up the base and getting the cameras connected was so easy. I was wondering how these cameras would be wireless and rechargeable, meaning I would have to occasionally take them down to charge them, and I was hoping that would not be a hassle to do, but they ended up being magnetic to their mounts which is straight up awesome! Just have to be sure to mount these outside in a spot they cannot get stolen. The quality on the cameras is also great, I am a bit of a camera quality nerd as it is and these exceeded my expectations for what they are. The only function I am not sure about yet is the alarm function. From the app on your phone you can set off a REALLY loud alarm out of the base, it gave a warning that it was loud but it was way louder than I expected and when I tried to hit turn off alarm it would not turn off, eventually had to just unplug the base and it hurt my ears for awhile, so don't set that off unless you are ready for it. I honestly cannot figure out what that alarm would be useful for, especially if I keep the cameras outside and the base is in the house, although I did not turn the alarm on while standing outside to see if it could be heard. Other than that function, I really do like this system, as long as the batteries hold up over time and hold a decent charge, I can see this being a very beneficial and easy system to use. It would be great for someone who does not have any security system hardware yet and is looking to get started with it, or for someone who already has an advanced setup already and this is just additional coverage and protection.

Wont record all the time and Arlo help line doesnt speak english well. Told me 3 times turn alarm on see if works. Im sitting next to thing it loud. Cant fix im out over grand.

We returned this system. The cameras would not stay up and monitoring. This system is a waste of money and time. Would not recommend.

This an awful camara, the battery life is less than 2 months and the night vision has no high quality, There is always a significant delay in the live time video.

spent 2 hours online trying to get this to work to find out that three of the 4 cameras were broken and had to be sent back,,,

this morning my security camera got stolen, received push notification but the record lost. this security camera are useless.

There's much to be said for this system being cord free. Right now I've just been testing the cameras inside the house, but may eventually mount one on my shed to watch the back yard. The video quality is decent. There is loading lag when you go to live view a camera. On my wishlist, a micro USB charge cable with some sort of boot to better seal the back of the camera. It would have been nice if they included a battery charger and second USB cable. It's a great perk that this does take a rechargeable battery pack now. I bought the first Arlo cameras that came out and ran on batteries. I ultimately returned that system though because of the hassle batteries would be. The 10 sec video cilp limit is a bit annoying. It would be nice to select the record length. Something like 10 sec increments from 10-60 seconds would be create. I'm sure this was done to preserve battery life, but at least provide an option so users can decide the tradeoff.

After doing significant research for a wireless home security system, I decided on the Arlo VMS4230. I've been having problems with people stealing packages from our doorstep and wanted to install something to combat this problem. I had to have the Netgear security system delivered to my local UPS store to make sure I received it. I thought the packaging was very good as well as unique as the two cameras float on top of the box giving you a glimpse of what the system is all about. I was able to review the instructions and set up both cameras within about 30 minutes. I mounted one of cameras outside my front door as a very visible security threat to anyone who is thinking about coming near my front door. I thought everything involved with the setup of the device was intuitive. I believe people who don't have a lot of experience with technology can figure it out with little effort. Once I connected the two cameras with the base unit I tested the mobile device app via my iPhone and iPad. I tested the unit with my kids acting as a delivery person and it worked flawlessly. There is a slight delay in the image you see but you can adjust the frequency of updates. Please note that the more frequent the video capture, the more battery life you burn through. I'm setting the frequency for 20 seconds and will monitor the battery life in the weeks/months ahead. So far, I am very pleased with this solution. There are other options in the market that cost less, but the solutions I researched do not justify the lower cost. Netgear has built a solid reputation with their network devices. I've owned several Netgear network devices. This is a natural product extension for their business.

Absolutely junk would not connect properly. Took back and replaced with the ring which was much better and I love it
