Very easy to setup, great camera. Like to 2 way audio feature.

I just installed my new Arlo system on Saturday and today (3 days later), it caught a video of someone trying to break into my house! (I was not home at the time, but was notified on my phone app of the motion activation.) Unfortunately he got away before the police arrived. The video quality was superb and the police were very appreciative of the quality of the video. Highly recommend this product! And, we will catch the guy!

We purchased this system after trying a Ring doorbell for a day. The quality of the Ring left a lot to be desired so we exchanged it for this system plus the Arlo doorbell. The system was easy to set up and took approximately 30 minutes. The problem for us is the picture quality. At night, it is very difficult to make out license plates or faces which is the whole point of the system. The microphones on the cameras produce distorted speech which makes the two way communication impossible. We also have to increase the brightness for both cameras at night or we cant see anything. During the day if we forget to reset the brightness you cant see the picture. Despite having an internet connection of 300, the cameras and doorbell lag a lot. Overall, the picture quality needs to drastically improve to serve its purpose.

Runs good in the backwoods of CT where we have 1.5 Mbps upload speed on Frontier internet (18 Mbps download speed). All 4 cameras work with this internet speed. I can watch them live, they upload our amazing security footage to the super-safe and private cloud, and everything is fine. Maybe it works at lightning speed with a better internet connection...but it doesn't matter to me. Runs good. Keeps honest people honest around my property. Just don't mount the cameras within easy reach. A thief can pop them off and run away rather easily. We have the magnetic mounts and cameras screwed to the outdoor walls wicked-high off the ground. Maybe we can install them in the trees too? But don't put screws into the trees, that is bad for the trees. Maybe we can strap a sacrificial 2x4 to the tree, and then screw the mount to the 2x4? We will figure it out.

I purchased this at the Gainesville, Va store. Read a lot of reviews, and can say that the reviewers must be using these camera's indoor because I haven't experience the same level of satisfaction using them as outside cameras. First with Geofencing, you are pretty much limited to sliding the bar on the software between 0 -100% and watching for the camera's LED to give you an indicator of distance..total pain. One of the four camera's continuously drops its internet connection and I have to physically remove and reinstall the battery in order to re sync the camera, only for it to drop the internet connection again an hour later and the darn thing is iin the same room with the hub and router. I sent a ticket into net gear and have yet to hear from them ..two days now still no word. ARLO is better than not having anything at all, and I would suggest that you buy the outdoor mounts if you decide to go with ARLO, because if you use the four magnet mounts outside, you should expect the cameras to shake in high winds. If you allow push notifications from these cameras expect to receive a lot of emails at least until you perfect the geofence monitoring boundaries. I still haven't figured out how to set the video capture to record longer than 10 seconds, not as intuitive as one would expect, and by the time the camera begins recording you are looking at someone walking away, definitely a lag, and this issue isn't only with ARLO, I noticed the same issue with my 4 Nest Outdoor Cameras I purchase at the same time. I wished I had better success with ARLO as NEST is really a prohibitively expensive system when you consider the annual fees associated with 30 day cloud storage for 4 cameras, you might as well pay a one time fee to have someone to install a wired system that has a wifi capability....live and learn I guess.

If your looking for a wireless security system then Arlo Pro is the way to go. I have been debating between the Arlo and the Arlo Pro and decided to go with the Pro 2 camera system for a few key reasons. First off, the Pro takes rechargeable batteries, no need to keep buying throw away batteries. Also, I live in a cold climate and the Pro is rated for -14 degrees F and the regular Arlo system is only rated for +18 degrees. The Pro system has better night vision and almost no video lag. The two way audio works great, and is an excellent feature to have, and works great. The Arlo app is very simple to use. Everything about this system has been flawless and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great wireless system. If your hesitant on dropping $400 in this, you won't regret it after buying it. Worth every penny!

1st of all after 6 hours of use i had to charge the camera, 2nd i have the highest speed internet and a wifi extender and the camera would only pick up 1 bar In the camera is right outside my door 20' from the router 5' from the Wi-Fi ext 3rd there is a 10 to 15 second lag So basically if someone is breaking into my house they would already be inside before i saw them on the camera. So for me this camera is useless. I need real time recording and apparently I'm not going to get that unless I go hard wired. If you don't mind the lack of wifey in the lag then I guess is camera would be perfect for you. if you do then go with a hardwired system

These are good, clear cameras. Easy to set up. Batteries die within a couple of months. I bought rechargable batteries for the cameras and they work better. My only complaint is that the cameras do connect slowly when wanting to view the live feed.

Why did I wait so long. Got the Pro and love the upgraded cameras with audio. This thing is fantastic and does everything I need.

This could be a great camera because everything is wireless. The batteries appear to be great. I had issues with 1 of the 4 cameras constantly going offline. It seems the motion detection activates the infrared LEDs which remains on, therefore draining the battery. Arlo Support can be greatly improved as they took me through too many processes to the fact they overlooked most of my statements to them. They finally approved an RMA, but I had to pay to ship the item to them. I thought this was unfair since they deemed the camera as not working properly. I also had to pay if I I wanted them to return it expedited. Another thing they need to add is a feature to notify the user when the camera goes offline or the battery is low.

Bought 5 cameras 2 years ago. Very disappointed at first because of limited battery life (1-2 months). Since then Arlo has pushed updated firmware that has greatly increased my battery life. Currently my battery life is 58% left after 4 months. Looks like I'll get 6+ months before charging. They are now great!

Long battery life, easy to set up, worth every penny.

The video quality, battery life, and wireless aspects are great. But...be warned. If you're buying this camera with the intention of using the audio functionality, simply move on. The volume is ridiculously low and only Arlo's customer service response was more ridiculous. After 30 minutes on the phone I was told that it was a known issue, and had been SINCE 2016!!! Well Arlo, you've released two newer iterations of this camera since that time, yet the issue remains. That was enough for me to move on.

The Arlo Pro system is waaay too expensive to have problems and deficiencies like these: -- App setup on phone didn't work, linked to a prohibited Amazon site that my phone wouldn't allow me to access so I had to use my computer to set up the system. -- FORCED by Netgear Support to use Google Chrome on computer to set up. -- After completing linking process with EACH camera, the Arlo system froze/disconnected from the internet. -- After the cameras and the base unit update, the system disconnects from the internet. -- While monitoring the system online via computer, the system often loses connectivity from the internet. -- The Pro camera's "talk" feature does not work! I could not get it to work even ONCE after working with it for about an hour. -- Cameras don't always recognize and record motion...concerning for being a "security camera." -- Cameras often don't record the entire motion event, missing everything except for the last one-half second of movement. -- Resolution of cameras during full daylight is just OK, but both night vision and artificial light is very poor unless person is within 6 feet of the cameras (720p doesn't cut it at night). -- In night vision mode, artificial light (from a motion-detector security light) completely washes out the facial features of a person being captured on video. -- Night vision mode is activated way too early, when there's still a lot of daylight, and during the middle of the day inside a home if there's not tons of sunlight or if not directly next to a window. -- Magnetic wall mounts don't hold camera level when camera is positioned at anything more than a 35-40-degree angle; the weight of the camera makes the mount spin on the single screw that holds the mount in place, and the camera droops to point downward. Again, for being as expensive as this system and its components and accessories are, it has way too many deficiencies. I'll be returning it to the store because there are far less expensive options out there that perform at least as well, or better. For me personally, I'd rather go through the little bit of effort to install wired cameras that actually do what they are advertised/supposed to do. I would not recommend buying this system.

This product only allows 3 cameras to run at a time. I was having an issue with one so I replaced it but nothing changed. I need to check in once every 24 hours to keep 2 from going off plus batteries to allow this to work are a fortune, easily 40 a month from amazon. When the camera disengages the only way to turn it back on again is to physically be there with the camera, how is that useful when I travel? I’m looking for a replacement that is partially wired but that is standalone from ADT right now. So annoyed at the wasted money, it seems reasonably priced until you add in downtime and battery cost. We have a second unit at our second home with 1 camera and that seems less annoying, if you only need 1 or 2 cameras it’s probably ok

Battery dies fast. Sometimes doesn’t pick up when people come and go which is the whole point of having them.

Great battery life and durability! I purchased a single Arlo-pro Camera for the front porch after an incident occurred in my neighborhood, and I couldn't be happier with it. I charge the battery once every 2-3 Months and it takes only an hour or so to charge completely!

The set up was really fast and easy. I had the whole thing up and going in less than an hour with no help. The cameras have a good picture. The biggest down fall is I have at least a 10 second lag in the live view and the batteries last less than a day before having to recharge them. If it wasn't for the lag and the batteries I would have given them a better rating but because of the lag and batteries I am considering returning it.

I love the cameras and their portability but the software needs some work. I was out of town and was forced to update the base station firmware with no option to delay or reschedule the update for a later date. As luck would have it the base station did not come back online after the update and my Arlo security system because useless I was not able to view any of the cameras or even connect to the base station. The company needs to fix this you should not lose access to your cameras and be force to update your firmware to avoid what happened to my system. I was willing to work with the other issues I had with the cameras but this was a show stopper, I will be returning the system today.
