    If you want a great camera system go elsewhere

    I have owned the Arlo Pro 3 system for over 2 years and have found this to be the absolutely worst camera security system. The only camera that is dependable in my multi camera setup is the unit that is next to the hub, and completely protected from the elements. ALL CAMERAS have continuous power to them and the ones I have which are exposed to the weather almost always are off, low battery, and no battery. I will never use this company again!

    I refuse to believe the positive reviews for this product. By the time I discovered what a lemon this is it was to late to return it. Please tell me these 5 star ratings weren't paid to give it more then 1 star. By the time this thing detects movement and alerts you whatever is was is gone and nothing recorded. Buy a dog, they're more reliable.

    Notifications do not work and Net Gear cant seem to fix it. Will be returning this product . Many complaints of connection issues on the Arlo forums, If SW was reliable it would be a great camera

    Review after 10 months of ownership. Matchup: Arlo Pro camera and Ring Pro camera covering same area. Ring detected 60% more with video quality 50% better then Arlo. PROS: Battery Operated; Sleek design, and Easy setup. CONS: Expensive, Slow motion detection, Slow to reset, Unreliable, Video Digitizes; Video Freezes, Not user friendly, Arlo and Network unreliable. Worst of it is Arlo Customer Service. Basically, your on your own to search database and community forums. Arlo Pro was a major and expensive disappointment.

    save your money! this system seemed great, until i added a second base station and an add-on camera. then it all fell apart. cameras kept showing up as offline on iOS app and would work fine on any PC with browser. I came to find out from netgear blogs that there are allot of people having this issue for over 3 months and netgear is not doing anything about it. and yes, i tried updates, resetting, re-synching, swapping cameras, moving cameras , moving hub away form router, and much more. It is just not as promised.

    One of our cameras stopped working. The company is really hard to get in contact with. The cameras lag often and will kick off line. If you can afford it, go with the Nest camera.

    Look for a different system

    Worked great for a week, then motion recording kept going off on one camera even though I turned down the sensitivity level. Now I only have 3 cameras set up. 2 days later of running 3 cameras the motion sensors on all 3 cameras are stuck. I'm a week out of best buys return policy and I am now stuck with these. Tried contacting netgear support which was a waste. I bought these because of the free storage and because they were wire free.

    App Won't Discover Base

    This was a Black Friday purchase which I'm just setting up in my new house. So, I can't return it. I've troubleshot every step and the base station simply won't get recognized by the phone app or a laptop connected to the same network. As a bonus, the chat support never connected either. All my other smart devices are working and were a breeze to set up: Roomba, Alexa Show and 2 Dots, Nest Thermo E, Nest Protect. I was looking forward to the Arlo Pro and their no fee recording, but maybe you get what you pay for.

    Bought it two times and couldn't make it to work.

    Bought it twice and both times never allowed me to add any cameras. The basic subscription allows you to add up to 5 o 6 cameras but for some reason I keep getting this message about contacting my local alarm vendor or something like that. Called customer service, no complaint with them since they were very professional, but still weren't quite sure about the message I was getting. My ticket escalated to "level 2", but still couldn't make it work in both occasions. I ended up returning it and keeping my money.

    This product is overpriced. This product has many flaws, such as, if there are problems and you are away they cannot be fixed on-line by you or the "wonderful" customer service. Customer support is overseas, has English as a second language, difficult accents, and do not know how to fix most problems. They look up answers on the computer while they are on the phone with you and cannot solve the issue. You are better off with an alarm system that can be fixed by someone on line in the USA.

    Waste of Money

    I have had one for a year now( too lazy to buy a good one) It's installed looking at my driveway, it picks up wasps all the time, only records 10 sec clips, with no sound, most of the time it's filming nothing, the person has allready walked by, you can't even make out a license plate, the batteries cost $20 and last till they get to 80% then the thing shuts off, have to put new batteries in it. It's a good driveway alert system is all, if you don't mind birds, bees setting it off.

    Piece of Junk!

    I got these in May of 2016. When I first purchased them they worked pretty good. After a few updates on the part of ARLO, they don't work at all now. One camera shows in pink, the batteries go dead constantly, they won't sync half of the time, they show they are working but don't record. A very expensive lesson. A friend of mine bought these and recommended them so, my fault, I did not research. Expensive lesson learned.

    Camera is great, IF YOU LIKE WAITING 60-90 seconds for the video to connect. If someone is at your front door for less than a minute, you won't see them on the recorded video. Spend the money and go with a PoE camera, I did. 3/26/18 Before Arlo tries to blame my wifi speeds (like Ring does), they're outstanding. All my other devices are rocket fast and the Arlo camera was six feet from my router.

    I bought this camera so I could see my dog also for security for the home. I like the idea that it we wireless. But picture kept getting frozen, microphone did not work nor the speaker. I tried to communicate with my wife from work and she did not hear me. Battery did bot hold the charge. Not worth the money. I bought on 4/14 and returned it on 4/23/2017. When I got to Best Buy another person was returning their's.

    I bought these cameras to use for my home. When I hooked them up the APP said I needed a firmware update so I started the update. After forty minutes the update hadn't downloaded. I called customer support and spoke with tech support for over an hour only to be told there was nothing more she could do.

    I opened it up, followed the instructions and it would not work. I called customer serve and they read off a script and kept having me try the same thing over and over again like a broken record. I am an hour into this so far and very close to driving right back to Best Buy to return the product.

    Do not buy!

    We purchased the arlo pro 4 camera system at Best Buy. One of the 4 cameras doesn't work with any battery and only works with AC power source. Another camera syncs appropriately, however it randomly goes offline. If using this product as a reliable security or monitoring system, you will be disappointed. I will be returning this product to the store for a refund per the advice of the arlo support staff.

    I am writing this review after i owned this camera for over an year. It does not capture every Motion and because of that reason i missed some important footage of some Thieves that tried to break into my house. Two of my friends has this camera and they experienced the same issues. I would not recommend this camera to anyone based on my personal experience. Battery life is not great either. I am looking into other security camera options now. This was an huge investment for me.

    Worst customer service ever!

    Contacted 5 times by email. Received auto response saying they would get back to me and never did! Then by phone I was 14th in queue and waited 1/2 hours only to get a non English speaking person who I could not understand. Product does not work due to known app bugs and they would not take back! They said I have to wait for the fix. Seriously? You know it doesn’t work correctly and they refuse to take back. Customer service worse than Comcast and that is bad!

    Very Poor Support, Your Email gets spammed

    When you give your email address you will be subject to SPAM. The email notifications do not turn off even if you set them to turn off. Under certain circumstances you will receive an email whether you want to or not that says Arlo System Update. The email itself says that you can turn off this notification. That is not correct. I'm sad to say Support is extremely Poor.
