I am using the cameras wirelessly, which is widely promoted by Arlo as a key benefit. The recording start is delay and thus frequently I get recordings of nothing because the action is already over. I added the doorbell to the hub (which is not as simply as it should be) and set up local storage (because the doorbell does not come with free cloud storage after the trial period ends). Arlo support confirmed that if you connect an external hard drive to the hub for local storage, you cannot view the recordings through their app nor can you access the stored videos any way through their hub. So in my case, that meant if my doorbell connected to the hub and stored videos on a USB device connected to the hub, the only way to view those recordings would be to disconnect my external hard drive from the hub and connect it to my computer to view them. Clearly not very easy or user friendly. Also, I keep getting motion alerts for what seems to be small movement even when the sensitivity settings are set to the lowest possible setting. And one final not, one reason you see so many positive reviews on so many items is that Best Buy provides an incentive of 25 bonus points to leave reviews. So those positive reviews can drown out the negative ones that probably provide the most value.

Camera works fine altho it only detects motion in the near view. App is somewhat complicated but once you get the hang of it, it's useable.

Very easy to setup. Clear picture and night vision. Rechargeable. Comes with magnetic clip to screw to walls or ceiling. Great wide view. Ability to personalize cameras to every place and turn them on and off to save battery for low traffic areas.

The completely wireless solution was very appealing for ease of installation. There are other brands that are also battery powered and cheaper, but not as rich in features. Without a subscription to a service, this system offers motion and sound detection alarms and triggered video capture in definable zones. Geofencing, infrared night mode, waterproof, easy camera install, and a very functional app, make this worth the extra cost. Add a subscription to one of the service levels for additional features such as full DVR. I've set up four cameras and can now keep watch on my property and livestock when I have to leave. Geofencing arms the system automatically so I don't have to fear forgetting. Careful placement of cameras and defining activity zones help eliminate false triggering and nuisance alarms. Two way audio allows me to hear and talk to visitors or just reassure our dog that we haven't forgotten about her :)

Bought these cameras for home and wasn't sure about them because there are mixed reviews. I'm very pleased with them and was easy to set up. The batteries last for awhile as well. I've had this for a month now and highly recommend to anyone looking for affordable home security.

Great system. The color, view, and sound are great. It would be nice if the camera's had a longer battery life, otherwise a great product.

I really do like the cameras, but the batteries do not last well in high traffic areas. Subjects entering the cameras view, often do not show up until they are almost out of view. Get a power adapter or solar charger for high traffic areas.

Great cameras, easy to setup, wish software would allow alerts by camera instead of all cameras. Love that there is no monthly fee for 1 week of recordings.

Not very difficult to set up but takes so time to schedule. The active zones don’t work well and batteries die quick if too much activity.

This is a great system . Good quality and easy to install. I did have to purchase other hanging brackets. They were not expensive to purchase Love the feature of being able to control by my phone. Great to be able to add more cameras Very happy with purchase.

Easy to install. Camera clear and not too much lag time between activity and alert. Only complaint would be it seems to lose battery fairly quick in cold weather

Easy to setup. Only able to use "zone" functionality when using power cord (not battery). A little glitchy with medium strength WiFi but I do recommend.

I love that these cameras can be used inside or outside the house. The scenes that are recorded are very clear. I even have one inside the house in full view of the outside and the pics are still clear. I have especially enjoyed being able to see my packages being delivered.

Easy to set up and use, the app was very easy to follow. Also recommended to other family members who bought and are very pleased with Arlo!

Cameras are awesome. And very easy to install almost anywhere. Downfall is the app. Overall, good product but can be better.

We love the system. We did install one in our dining room, batteries go down pretty fast if the area has a lot of movement. We purchased the dual charged and 3 extra batteries so it works out fine. Do not buy the solar charging system in you live in a cold climate it won’t work.

The cameras work goods I wish you had night vision on it but other than that I had no Problems with it

Very clear, defined picture with good motion detection. One downside is only records a weeks worth of history free unless you buy subscription service.

We set these up in the house & out by the barn. My mom uses them to watch the horses & dogs. She loves the quality & being able to talk to them. They were super simple to put up & organize. It's a grand step up from our older wired system that had poor quality & few features.

The Arlo - Pro 2 2-Camera Indoor/Outdoor Wireless 1080p Security Camera System - White was my first purchase of a home system and it certainly did not dissapoint. The quality of the cameras are great, the video is high quality, and the batteries last a long time.
