    The battery is terrible but at least the cameras got us buy that is until they started the two step verification process just to log in. Now my wife and I have to be sent a message with a code just to log in to check our cameras. So its basically impossible if one of us is at work or busy for the other one to check the cameras. This set up is garbage. Save your money and look for something with better support.

    No manual, poor support

    No instructions or manual. They send you to customer support (long long wait if available at all)....or to a hot mess website that is trying to sell you stuff. For the price they charge they should hire a tech writer and provide some 'written' instructions, gonna stuff it back in the box and return to Best Buy.

    May 3, 2020 There are two great things I experienced buying the Arlo Pro 3 6 camera pack. 1. I watched Geek Squad's 13 hours of frustration and 2. I took them back and got a refund. The system slowed my Comcast connection down to dial up. They fixed that but could never get all 6 cameras up and working. There is always a delay before you see the picture. It’s audio talk really doesn’t work because by the time you get the picture the person is gone. Since I have the Geek Service policy the install cost $50. They returned that cost when I returned the cameras. If you want advice from Arlo then you would be better served to visit your local drive through bank teller. They won’t know anything either but will speak English. If you don’t have anything to waste your time then this is a wise purchase. Geek Squad is very good though.

    If you purchase the arlo pro 3 you will have to purchase the Arlo subscription for $9.99 a month. This is not mentioned anywhere. If you do not want to do this, you can purchase a flashdrive and plug in your hub, which you can only access if you are connected to the same Wi-Fi. If you want to be able to access your cameras outside of your home wifi, you have to contact your service provider to open additional features. Very dissatisfied with Arlo and their customer service as well as the description for this product.

      Here is a breakdown of the functions available without an Arlo Smart Subscription:
      1) Motion alerts - You will continue to receive simple alerts via push notifications and/or email notifications.
      2) Recordings - When synced to a compatible Arlo SmartHub, you can use local storage for recordings. Recordings will be saved up to 2K quality. Additionally, you can also view your recordings via the Arlo App when you have Direct Storage Access enabled: https://kb.arlo.com/000062337
      3) Device page in App loads with an image from the last detected motion event, instead of the most recent stream.
      Please note, Smart services such as e911, Package Detection, Smart Alerts and Cloud Recordings are only available with subscription.

    Arlo is trash!!!! between issues with the cameras and their app. it is almost useless!!! adding a guest is pointles. they always get kicked. Then they have issues when trying to get re connected. Im at a loss for words as to how often these cameras mess up. Ive had 8 arlo cameras over the last few years and no matter which ones you have this issue dosent go away im personally over it and will be throwing these things in the garbage where they belong

    Hidden monthly fees

    You get free storage at first, but then you are nudged into a monthly fee for an account... Also, even though you may think an external storage device will be an option? You can not access recordings through the app... You have to disconnect and reconnect to a computer in order to do that. I’m seriously considering throwing my system straight in the garbage and going back to Costco for the better one without the hidden Monthly fee tricks...
