    Hidden fees after your free trial expires

    HIDDEN FEES. The cameras work but are already extremely expensive. After your free trial you expect to pay the monthly fee for service, what they don't tell you anywhere is that there will be a $100 or $149 "registration fee" that has to be paid either every 2 years or every 5 years depending on the fee you choose. I would never buy this product again if I new how deceptive they were about the pricing.

    Manufacturer Does Not Honor Warranty

    Do not buy an Arlo system! Three of my four cameras failed within 10 months and the manufacturer is not honoring the warranty. Every time I call or email, I get transferred to tech support, and someone asks me to perform the same troubleshooting procedures that I’ve now done 20x. Absolute nightmare.

    Do NOT BUY this piece of crap. It does not stay connected and most of the time does not record video so when you need it it is NOT available. A waste of money and time!!! REPEAT DO NOT BUY THIS EQUIPMENT. SimpliSafe is a much better system and if I could give it zero stars I WOULD.

    Very poor resolution from just 10 feet

    I have Verizon Fios 1 gb plan and to test the camera unit I had kept it just 8 feet awaY from router the quality was so bad. This product is not ready for prime time. That too at this price no way. Will take for couple of years before buying them again.

    Arlo Costumer Service is Useless

    I bought this set December 2019. The battery charger and the cable to plug it and recharge the camera were broken. After 7 months and more than 5 Cases reported to Arlo I still don't have the replacements parts. Costumer service doesn't exist at all.     bricked Base station within 60 days

    Bought a base station and six cameras. They stopped working within 60 days. Support claims the firmware is out of date and they want $180 to update it. This is in addition to $1300 of brand new hardware and the monthly plan. Hidden costs. Low quality product. Customer support staff who barely speak English. Just a really poor experience all around.

    Delayed triggering, poor video, all around worthle

    Poor video,unable to identify anyone or anything,delayed triggering so you miss the event, have to pay for full subscription in order to use feature,and why bother if there's better cameras out there,replaced with a Swann system and couldn't be happier,ill never buy arlo anything.

    Don’t waste your money

    They worked great until we had 1 blackout. After being placed on hold for 2 hours with Arlo, I was told blackouts short circuit and kill the base, rendering them useless. Their solution was that I just need to buy a new base whenever I have a blackout. That’s ridiculous.

    Don't ever change your WIFI router

    Do not buy this if you think that you will ever change your router or modem. I have been trying for over 2 hours to get this to work. It was easy to use for almost a year. But the company has no support when things go wrong.

    I do not know about Arlo pro 3. Arlo Pro 2 i have and it is a awful camera it is not a ver good recorder in fact it is awful and would never buy again. Dan.

    I have owned The Arlo pro 3 for 3 weeks and have charged it twice. I was under the impression that it would be at least every 6 months.

When the trial expires, you have the option to purchase an Arlo Smart subscription. Subscribing to Arlo Smart does not only give cloud storage but it also lets the cameras utilize the advanced Arlo Smart features detailed here : https://kb.arlo.com/000056583. Without an Arlo Smart subscription, you can still add up to 5 cameras to your Arlo account, live stream, and receive motion and audio notifications.
