Great home security
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. How to review Arlo? There are great things and there are a few very negative things. The positive is that the camera view is very crisp and clear. The recording options are impressive. That it can recognize the difference from a person, animal and vehicle is great. Know that after the trial period it costs $10/mth for it, but it's worth it in my opinion. I upgraded from the original Arlo camera setup to the Arlo Pro 3. HUGE difference! I don't see the point of constantly upgrading when a new system comes out. But if you got the money, I guess go for it. I waited for awhile for a reason. I was hoping the Arlo negatives were corrected by now. They haven't. So here are the negatives. If you hear a noise outside and want to use the camera's to see what it is, this might not be the system for you. By the time you get a live view, if it was a possible intruder, it's inside now. The app is not too dependable. Sometimes you have to sign in twice, sometimes the cameras say offline when they're not (you have to close the app and reopen it) and sometimes you just can't view through a camera for almost a minute. So weigh the options and make your choice. This system isn't cheap, but I'm used to the Arlo ways so I'm still giving it 5 stars.

Great quality picture. Slow system
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love that they are very easy to install and picture is of high quality. Also have no problems with wifi. Cameras look beautiful. Don't care much for monthly fee. I highly dislike the fact that I have to click on each camera screens (one at the time) to see a live feed (that takes a while to upload). It doesn't make sense, should be able to see the live pictures right away. Also videos sometimes don't get recorded. Batteries don't last long, I had to charge them bi-monthly until I purchased solar panels. I will try another brand next time.

Easy setup
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am happy to say that the hardest thing to do is to read the instructions. I would recommend better wood screws but that doesn't affect the product. It was easy to sinc and setup. The video quality is great. I really like the motion light detection. It works great for my my front door area. I would recommend it to my friends.

Learn something new everyday.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We got our Arlo Pro 3, a few weeks ago and love it. We have learned so many things about ourselves and our neighbors animals. Setting up the Arlo I realized I am annoying when I harp on my husband(changing that). Also, learned that our neighbors dog pees on our porch(had a neighborly chat). We also shut it down durning the day when we are home because it does slow down our internet a bit but not too much. We love it and it is really easy to set up and monitor. Thank you.

Best choice!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love it! Easy to install, with Customer Assistance. Great picture, large viewing area. Put magnetic holders at both doors and easy to remove, charge, readjust. Purchased two solar chargers, which was a wise choice for the two that are higher up. Lights turn on as soon as someone enters view area.

Quality cameras at a good price.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this for black Friday deal. Very good quality build. They are not light and cheap feeling. I put one at the front porch and the other behind the house towards the driveway/garage. Easy to install. And set up via the app. I also bought a 32gb usb for local storage, it came with 3 months of "pro" service, which includes cloud saves, but will need the usb for local storage if you intend on being video older than 1 week old, after the trial ends. I also bought a anti theft and weather mounts for these, because they are just a little too easy looking to steal. Especially since one of the mounts included is just a big magnet for your camera to stick on. Image quality is really great. 2k or 4k depending on if you have subscription. Battery life is good. Depending on how much traffic you have going back and forth. My front porch gets about 2 months worth of use on one charge and the back gets about 2 1/2 per charge. Would definitly suggest this item if you can get at a good sale price.

Sleek, modern design for home security
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The primary reason I purchased a 2 camera Arlo Pro 3 system was its convenience in setup and use, plus the fact I got this on sale ($399+ tax.) Wireless camera connectivity is a definite plus and is a breeze, even if you're electrically challenged (like me.) Communication of alerts via cellphone notifications is extremely handy, especially if you're not home. They throw in 3 mo free phone alert service; after that, it runs around $10/mo. In addition, you get up to 2K color video feeds (even at night) due to a motion sensitive optional light which also acts as a deterrent for would-be criminals. Videos are downloadable via SmartHub to USB drive, or can be saved on your phone. Each saved video is available for 30 days, and you can mark favorites or delete feeds if you want. My 2 camera package contained: (2) Arlo Pro 3 cameras (1) SmartHub (1) Magnetic charging cable (very short! - 3') (2) Rechargeable batteries (1) USB power adapter (1) Ethernet cable (for SmartHub) (1) Adjustable stationary camera mount (1) Magnetic camera mount (1) Quick start guide (far too brief!) (1) Video monitoring guide (I don't remember the contents of this one, but it was much longer than the setup guide!) They provide a link for Arlo Smart (the free monitoring software that runs on your phone) which you pick up from Google Play, etc. Now for the cons. Idk if it's Arlo or my internet connection, but I'm not receiving audio with my text alerts every time. In fact, audio rarely accompanies my texts. Maybe it's due to people overtaxing broadband signals due to the current Covid-19 situation, but it's frustrating when lower priority videos come in with sound and more important ones don't. I must say that Arlo support has been trying to resolve this, and they've been very friendly and helpful with my issue (I've seen other reviews with people complaining about rude service.) Something that irks me about Arlo is how stingy they are about including enough accessories in their already pricey systems. They provide only the bare minimum, then charge an arm and a leg for accessories you'll probably want. For example, the magnetic cable is puny (3'), so I bought solar panel chargers at $79 ea. The package also only contains one camera mount of each type. Additional mounts run around $40 for a pkg of 2 magnetic, and a lesser sum for standard mounts. Longer magnetic cable runs $50 for 25'. Anyway, you get the idea... There are also 3 viewing modes, and if you want your camera(s) to zoom in on whatever triggered the event you'll have to downgrade your quality to 1080dpi, thereby losing 30% of your peripheral scope (from 160->120 degree radius.) Still, you'll be able to capture motion, depending on where you place your cameras, that is. These cameras are more accurate when motion happens from side to side, rather than when objects are coming towards or going away from them. There is a problem capturing all the action in some video feeds, however. This is more common with my camera with higher resolution than the other (2k vs. 1080dpi) and is probably more of a bandwidth issue. You will need to hook up the SmartHub directly to your home router/modem with the supplied ethernet cable for optimum connection during setup. (I first tried connecting it to a switch in my home network, but it wasn't recognized.) I've also read reviews saying that their cameras only need recharging every couple months or so. That's not the case here. I find myself recharging my cameras every 7-10 days, and I don't live on a busy street. I haven't installed my solar panels yet because we've had hail in our area recently, but I'm hoping they'll keep my cameras charged once I do set them up. At any rate, I'm pleased with my purchase for the most part. I even bought a 3rd camera lately, so I'm committed to this system. (Maybe I should be committed for spending so much!)

Cameras
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These cameras are nice--one is magnetic, and the other you screwed in. So watch where you install them. If there is a lot of activity, your battery will need to watch your battery. We have kids that ride there bikes in front of out house, so the camera will be more active which requires more recharging. The quality of the video is great. Our dog was out in front of the house, I got a notice that there was an "animal" in front (of house). The notification sound on your phone will drive you crazy if you have a lot of traffic in front or back of the house. We have muted ours when were home. Yes, I am glad we got them. Though it was sad that we had to invest in them.

Great cameras, but it comes at a price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture, but it comes with less battery life. The battery life is why I mark these down a star. I have Arlo Pro, Arlo Pro 2 and now these Arlo Pro 3 cameras. I guess because they have the light on them, they last about half as long as the Arlo Pro and Arlo Pro 2 cameras. They do have a much better picture and having color pictures at night is a great feature. On my older cameras, I couldn't tell what my camera was picking up sometimes...especially at night. I don't have that problem anymore. They do require an Arlo Smart plan, which will cost you $10 a month for up to five cameras, but the picture is worth it to me.

Excellent price, features and quality
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My patience paid off with this purchase. I waited for nearly a year to buy a system because I could not get to the point where I felt I was getting a great overall value. The Arlo Pro 3 had everything I wanted in a camera system, including color night vision, a spotlight, voice, zoom and a sharp picture. The ability so set up multiple motion detection zones was a nice bonus. The setup out of the box could not have been more simple. This process was completely painless and much quicker than anticipated. Within no time, my cameras were up and running, and I was receiving notifications from the system. The videos are clear and sharp. The microphone is very sensitive. It picked up conversations on the ground from up high with no problem whatsoever. I was so impressed with cameras 1 & 2 that I bought a 3rd camera right away. Of course, it was up and running in no time.

Arlo Pro 3
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was able to upgrade my old Arlo cameras to the Arlo Pro 3 version and believe me. That was a worthy investment. The only downside was that I was not going to be able to have the 7 days free recording that I had on my old cameras. However; the price that Arlo charges to keep you recordings on the cloud is not extremely high, but who doesn't like free things right! Installation was simple, the quality of the cameras and video quality is great. I love it. Another thing that I really appreciate, is the new way of charging the batteries. you don't have to get them out of the cameras it is just a magnetic charger like my Apple Watch. I also like that the siren alarm can be use on either camera instead of the base. A feature that I love the most is that you can tell Arlo not to record animals so that annoying cat that comes into my backyard in the middle of the night won't be activating my alarms anymore. Overall I love Arlo cameras. Next thing on the list the Arlo doorbell

They work great
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first the batteries were constantly draining. I had to tweak the settings and they work better. They don’t drain as fast. I’ll eventually get the solar panels to recharge them so i don’t have to manually charge the batteries. But the pictures are clear and the night vision works well.

good cameras
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy set up . these cameras give a nice picture day and night. The siren is not that loud the talk through the speaker didn’t impress us, but we liked the option of turning on the “spot light”. The one thing that I didn’t like was the setting for the activity zones. You touched the screen and dragged to create a box where you wanted the zone to be. So if I wanted to block out certain objects. I had to create different zones. Just for this issue I returned them and got the camera system that begins with “B”. I would definitely recommend this if you didn’t need too many activity zones

Great system
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are very good cameras. The picture quality is great, but the night vision isn't great beyond 10 feet. However, these are easy to install and the notifications are very effective. If you're buying these for outdoors, you should definitely also get the solar chargers or charging cables so you don't need to worry about charging the batteries. The speakers to talk to people are much too weak to use these in commercial locations, but it might be fine for a residential entrance. Overall, these cameras make it simple to keep an eye on your location when you aren't there.
