These cameras are pretty nice and easy to install, one thing I did notice is that if you don't let them sit till they hit 100% charged they will drastically drain even if you pull out of the charger at 99%. Great audio and video recording.

The cameras were easy to connect and install, and they are working as described. They detect motion in a wide field of view, as I’d hoped they would, and the video is very clear. I’m very pleased and recommend these cameras to anyone.

Haven't had these cameras very long but they work great. Great in 2K visual with portable spotlight which causes night vision to look in color. Great clarity plus you can zoom the camera to a wide range or zoom for a smaller picture. Great.

Great product, video quality is nice but the battery dies too fast. It offers best battery mode but it lowers the quality of the video a little. Found out you can purchase solar adapters but they're and extra $100 per camera. There is an option to mute notifications but you cant select your own amount of time you have to chose 30mins, 3 hrs, 24 hrs. It would be more convenient if you could adjust the time to whatever increment you choose. Over all though the cameras are great! Would still suggest these over wired cameras.

The Pro 3 Arlo cameras are good however there are a few issues that I think could improve. There is a delay time, maybe 10-15 seconds, and sometimes when you first open the cameras they say they are offline. Had my wi-fi checked out and it was not the problem. There should be a way to eliminate small things such as birds running around the front yard, that would not be enough to alert the camera to movement however I have not been able to adjust that. It also keeps alerting us at a certain time of day when the sun hits the water in the pool.

Upgraded from pro 2. I didn’t realize that you don’t get the 7 days of cloud storage anymore. You have to add an external usb storage or get the subscription now. Other than that the system seems good so far. Picture quality is decent. Not sure I’d call it 2k. Also the color night vision seems to be only with the spot light on. Goes to black and white when the spotlight turns off. Very easy to set up and it does work well so hey, first world problems I guess. I do like that I can add my pro 2 cameras to this system as well.

Switching over from my Nest Hello doorbell (which we loved) and also some other nest cameras. Made the switch because our new alarm wasn’t compatible with nest which is why we chose the Arlo cameras and video doorbell. Installation couldn’t have been easier and the battery levels have dropped maybe 5% over the 4 days they’ve been installed. Make sure you set up the activity zones properly otherwise you’ll be getting 500 notifications a day. Once they’re set up it only notifies you when something of importance happens. One of the things I love about the Pro 3 is the motion tracking. When it senses motion the camera actually zooms in and pans (digitally) to follow the motion. Over all we are extremely happy and will be adding more cameras as time goes. If you’re in the market do yourself a favor and make the purchase!

I didn't purchase the subscription. I have an android phone and found that the geofencing feature does not reliably engage and disengage. If you don't purchase the subscription to store your clips in the cloud you can plugin a usb stick and your base station which is very nice and a must. The app still defaults to "cloud" making it appear that you're not recording so you have to figure out that it's a dropdown with a "usb" option. However, sometimes the option doesn't appear so you may not be able to view your clips until it magically appears - it's annoying. Intentional? Maybe...hey, Apple intentionally slowed down their older phones. Forget the "activity zones" feature as it doesn't work for unsubscribed owners. The zoom and follow feature works well. It doesn't always stay focused on the subject, but overall I was impressed. The video quality is high quality on the phone. I have yet to download it to my laptop. If you don't subscribe you are solely running on the motion detection built into the local unit so expect false alarms (large animals or flapping umbrella), and expect not to capture all the people all the time. For example, an Amazon delivery person walked onto my porch and set down a small package and stepped off and I never received an alert. Arlo's detection isn't great if someone is in and out of view as I just described. The delivery person had to walk 3 feet to drop off the package and then step back and the same thing happens with my mail person. It happens and I don't have the frequency down because it's just random. I would recommend this unit if you can live with the imperfection I have described. I had a much worse experience with SmartThings. Battery life is great.

Best camera system for the money. Image quality, connection speed and functionality are tip notch. Battery life is excellent. Mounting is easy regardless of the option you choose. It is with good reason that Arlo keeps winning as best security camera system. Most of the low price cameras are full of glitches. Arlo has put together a great mid price system that works great. Keep in mind that you do need adequate internet connection for this to work properly.

So far it’s been good. My main complaint is the app crashes sometimes and says camera is offline. I would highly recommend the Wasserstein solar panels to go with them it’s a cheaper alternative to the arlo panels. I installed all four cameras with the solar panels and they charge every day. Install the panels in your gutters if possible or where it would get direct sunlight. The video quality is great and the cameras are easy set up and install.

    Still Getting Used to It

I moved from the Ring to Arlo based on reviews, but there are things that Arlo doesn’t do that Ring did that make me not 5 star sold. The zones can only be rectangles, which makes it difficult to set your zone just right. Also, connecting to a motion alert takes too long and you miss it. Because they are on battery, there is a 3 second delay. The picture and the zoom feature make the Arlo better than Ring, as well as the battery. We get about two weeks on each battery.

I wanted to like this product in the worst way. I am a technical IP Surveilance system engineer. But it did work out so well for me. The good. - Excellent Software - Good Equipment, (particularly if you can power the cameras) - Easy Setup The Bad. - No capability for Pre-Record (Before Motion) without full time power. You will miss things. - Only 1 power cable sent for each camera. An expensive add on. - Uses proprietary wireless infrastructure. So you cannot use your Wifi to help with the signal. - Any signal strength on a camera below Excellent will result in pixillation. Can be very typical on any outdoor camera. So, for me: Our house is insulated with hi-r insulation. This limits the signal of any outdoor camera. Placing cameras anywhere on a larger property is useless without considerable additional expense. The 300' range is Line-of-Sight. So an outdoor camera needs to be really close, if your base station is inside. We have a really great commercial grade WiFi system. Which covers the entire property. It is useless, since Arlo will not connect to it or allow its SSID to be shared. Additional Arlo base equipment can impact your existing 2.4ghz network . Like I said, if you live in an average size home, with standard construction. Arlo is easy to use and set up, and may justify the monthly fees. Anything beyond that and you may end up disappointed.

    My Arlo Pro 3 experience

The arlo Pro 3 enables you to see a wide area which is good. You are not going to be able to identify an intruder however unless they are pretty close to the camera. Siren needs to be a lot louder than it is...its pretty useless at highest volume as its just not loud enough to deter anything. Wireless aspect makes for easy installation but be prepared to have to take cameras completely down and into the house to charge them frequently. You will need good internet and strong wi fi to operate 4 cameras like we are. I still get a lot of buffering on my phone when trying to see videos from camera. These cameras give me an idea of if someone is trespassing and on my property but like I said I am not going to be able to identify them unless they happen to be fairly close to the camera. Easy to use but not really the best option for real security. Video lengths are short only captures a part of what someone is doing after it detects their motion. Think I would have been better off to get a higher end system and wired. I paid $500+ total for this system and its just not providing the type of security I had hoped for. If you just need a camera at say your doorway...it will be perfect.

Setup and installation were pretty straight forward. Good performance and a solid app for control. There is also a fair amount of aftermarket support for colored skins (to match house color, for instance) and mounting options. My only gripe is that the battery performance is poor in cold temperatures and they cameras go offline when it gets really cold. Doorbell is hard wired, so it keeps going at least.

This camera system is almost perfect. It has pretty much everything you could want except for two things. 1 is the activity zones don’t really work that great. It all depends on specific angles and height, so you’ll probably get more alerts if you place them in a high traffic area, which I guess in a way it’s better than no notifications but for the price tag I would have expected better. 2nd is that the “live” playback is almost live, and what I mean is that there is a significant delay in the video playback probably anywhere from 2 to 5 second delays in live video playback which when you’re wanting to see something live after getting a notification of movement it can be really annoying especially since it takes anywhere from 5-10 seconds to actual load the live video playback, so with the load and the latency you’re looking at almost 15 seconds of wait time and by then whatever you wanted to see live has already left. On the bright side it does a great job at recording events up until all the movement is gone so if you didn’t see it live you can always go back and play it back. The 2k video is pretty good when I play it back on my smart phone. Don’t count of being able to see any moving license plates from far away though. The alerts are great, the app is great, the video recording is great, battery life is great, spot light is very responsive and bright. Aside from those two things I can’t really complain about this wireless camera setup. I love it and don’t regret this purchase.
