I bought this 4-camera system primarily because it was wireless and the reviews on the video appeared strong. Installation: I found this to be extremely easy to install and connect to my home wifi. I've had no connection/weak signal issues even with 2 of my cameras a fair distance away from the base unit. You do not have to be an IT Tech to install this system. 2 different style bases were included (2 of each) for the 4 cameras. This does limit a little bit of where you might want to put them (ie. if outside you may want the screw set version vs. the magnetic version that someone could pluck off easily, if it is reachable). Picture/video quality is good. I love the system alerts (very close to real time) and the numerous settings and options available/customizable by camera location. Once thing I have noticed in setting up the "zones" it still triggers passing cars at the end of my driveway even though the street is not included in the zone on that camera. Love the ability to go live easily if you want to see what's going on. With the audio, there is a fair delay (estimate 3-4 seconds) when you use the audio feature and speaking back and forth on the camera. I guess this is to be expected. Battery Life: I was worried about how long batteries would last. Am very happy with it. A fully charged camera is lasting nearly 2 months on a camera that fires off many times a day because it covers my door we are in/out of all the time. I like this system so much I had my mom buy the same one (on sale) to put on her house. At full price the entry point is kind of steep but caught this on sale for $499 and feel like it is a good bargain for my money given all of its function. I would definitely pay the small monthly fee to Arlo to store your library of videos. They are easily accessible and organized very well.

Simple to use. Good quality video. I have the 2K Which I think is high enough quality for a security door camera. No issues with Apple HomeKit. HomeKit seems faster then the native Arlo app. I was able to watch locally recorded or cloud video from the app. I don’t like that I can only be logged in on one device at a time. It made it difficult to share with my wife. I ended up having to create a guest account and sharing that so we both could view the video at the same time.

Installed the wireless camera above the garage. Wide view and great picture. Bought the 4 cameras but only installed 1, b/c it covers so much. 90 days free video storage. Then $5/mo after that. If you buy a multi camera system and don't install all at once.... you can get the 90days free on each camera. So... camera #1 for 90 days then install #2 for the next 90, then #3, and so on. Downside? I have to charge the battery once a month. I should've bought the solar panel.

Everything is great - I got a decent deal (I think). Setup/installation was a breeze. Quality is reasonable and as expected. What I would love Arlo to do is to offer better subscription. After 3 months trial, one has to buy it (monthly/yearly) to keep the benefits or else its just a camera without motion detection, cloud recording etc. Say what..! I have heard that you can have local storage recording but I have yet to figure the specifics out. Other than that, its worth buying.

I am very impressed with this system! I have been an Arlo user for 3 years, and this system is a nice upgrade to the pro 2 setup. From color night vision via the little but bright spotlight, to the smart motion detection, and let's not forget 2k resolution, this camera system is hard to beat. They are spendy, but worth every penny!

I use SmartThings in addition to the Arlo system. It isn’t quite as straight forward as I would hope. With that said it is easy to set up, you leave the cameras armed and allow SmartThings to do the rest. The quality of the camera is above average and the free 7 days is enough to warrant the additional cost than Nest for example. Would I say this is the best system out there? I don’t know I’ve only used nest and Arlo and prefer Arlo by some distance.

Battery life is not as good as I was hoping. I adjusted the settings and its a little better now but not as good as I want. There are some other features that dont work like advertised too. Video quality is great, and installation was pretty simple. Not sure sure its worth the money spent though.

I’ve had this Arlo 2 camera system for a week. I also bought solar panels and a doorbell. It was so easy to install and works great. I like the arming schedule and how I can mute alerts temporarily.

I've owned a variety of indoor and outdoor security cameras, trying to find the balance between cost, cloud services offered, and actual ease of use. I've owned from the very cheap chinese knockoff, up through several of the big name players. This one has been, by far, the best in terms of ease to set up and quality of the product/image. Still pretty new, so we'll see how that holds up over time, but so far, really excited for the upgrade to our home security needs.

Arlo has done a bit better with these 2k units over the 1080p! Big gripe, distance with all of the wireless cameras! Remember it’s not distance from your access point, but the Arlo bridge itself. Much better distance then Blink! Quality is good! Again, it’s hard to pick up who people are over 35 ft away! Again, much better then blink!! The tracking software is really good! Downfall is you can only record in 1080 with tracking software, where as you can set to record in 2k without zoom recognization software. The software will tell you if it’s a car, human, or animal. The night vision is cool, what’s even better is if you can have the spot light come on at night that’s built in! This brightens up your world, their faces and sometimes the neighbors looking out the window!. Full color at night is cool! Helps you identify what’s going on! Would be nice to have some more modes on the arming and disarming settings! It’s a little locked down. Again, good system! I would say go and get one!

The technology is far superior to the original version of the Arlo and better than the Pro2 (we have both and have now stopped using the originals and replaced them with these Pro3 versions). It's nice to have rechargeable batteries rather than the originals which always seemed to need replacing. The quality of the picture is superior to the Pro2 (and far better than the original Arlos). Overall, we keep buying Arlos as they keep getting better. We always buy third-party covers to hide them, so would be better if they came with different options for covers. These Pro3's are a little bit of a pain to open to replace the batteries (it would be nicer if the battery compartment was the only piece that popped out) but they are far better designed than the Pro2's which required you to take off the cover. Overall, these are just slight improvements on the Pro2 version. Ended up buying another second set of them, so you can say that we are pleased with the purchase.

Greta picture and sound quality easy to set up but battery doesn’t last unless u have it on a recording schedule if u have them on all day you’ll end up charging them every couple days that the downside would recommend having the plugged in to an outlet instead of running them on the battery

I have had these camera's running for almost 2 weeks now. They are well constructed, easy to initially setup and mounting is fairly quick. The app is pretty good too. Daytime clarity of the cameras is awesome. However, that's where the good points end. There is a significant delay when trying to view the live feed from any camera. Sometimes, 4-6 seconds, sometimes 20 seconds, and more frustrating, sometimes it never connects. My cameras are all within 50 to 100 ft of the Base station. The camera's do not use your wifi, so having a mesh system with multiple wifi points and awesome speed does the system no good. They connect to the Base station via its own wifi, so it limits where the cameras can be placed. Motion detection is hit or miss and you have to position the camera so that the bottom two thirds of the viewing frame contains the area to be monitored. This forces you to set your cameras at a higher angle, missing activity areas below the camera. Nighttime viewing is okay, even though the camera's have a 2K resolution. I really wanted to like these cameras as I am not able to easily run power to the camera locations, however, the lag time to view live feeds, the lag time to trigger motion, and the lag time, sometimes over 5 minutes to get a video clip of the event is too much and forcing me to return these to BB. In contrast, I have a Nest doorbell camera that instantly shows the live feed and instantly provides the video clip when motion detected. If Google has figured it out, I don't see how Arlo cannot resolve the camera delays. Once that gets fixed, these cameras would be a great system. Until then, avoid it.

Great video quality, audio etc. Awful battery life, I have to charge most at least once a week, the one over the front door might make it two or three weeks. 3 - 6 months? Don’t count on it unless maybe a camera is just aimed at a wall and doesn’t record anything.

I read a lot of reviews on a lot of different products before making this purchase. As one should when making a fair investment. The outcome... the Arlo Pro 3 was the way to go. I can say I have ZERO reservations about my purchase. Cameras and App are easy to work with and use—thank you Arlo development team! The image quality on the Pro 3, and the viewing angel... again, top notch! I will not bore the reader with going over every extra feature, as i would have to write a small book, but the Pro 3 is packed with them. As for the naysayers.... reality is, there is no such thing as a ‘perfect’ product. What I mean is that if anyone looks hard enough, you can find an error in something. Do I doubt what others have said, no. But if I was betting man—and took time to look into the problems others have had, which I have—all the problems seem to fall into one of two categories: (i) user err, or (ii) network issues. That is, it’s either the person using it that’s the issue, or it’s the internet network they are working on. GREAT THING IS, those are issues that can be easily resolved. First, Read the instructions (that’s all I did... just saying). Second, make sure you have a good internet provider and you have the proper mesh/home wireless system set up. However you would know you need this, if you read the materials Arlo providers (see 1st step). BOOM! Do those things, and you should find Arlo’s manufactured a good product here! Oh, and BEST BUY is the only retailer to use for products like this! Prices and deals are unmatched! Thanks one more time, BB!

Poor connectivity, constantly loses connection with base and battery drains far to quickly (within days, even with minimum sensitivity). Had to contact outsourced customer service (long process) to complete setup. Delayed response set to identified actively a huge delay in notifying user (6-10 seconds). App would constantly crash, lose connection to cameras or would take minuets (almost always) to provide live view, if at all. Gave 2 stars because they look nice, but that’s about all they are good for.

High quality and easy to set up. Image quality is outstanding and connectivity seems to be robust between cameras and base unit, despite there being decent distance between components. Battery life seems to be good after a month of use and it seems that a single charge will last a while, despite moderate use. Two things to be consider: 1.) Turning on live view seems to take longer than competitors. A construction company is using a low budget competitor camera on our property and it is close to "instant on". It is missing several other features, so I still prefer this unit, but just something to be aware of and maybe it will get better with software updates. 2.) Software is great, but feels like it needs a little more flexibility on scheduling - would like to have 'per day' schedules that can be different and more profiles.
