    Seamless Homekit Integration

This is my 2nd set of Arlo products. Already own the video doorbell and floodlight. I love how easy the app is to set up and most importantly works perfectly with my Apple Homekit system. The video is always great and clear and notification of people, packages and animals are prompt. Arlo is head and shoulders above the competition with a great aesthetic and wonderful functionality.

    High quality Option

High quality and easy to set up. Image quality is outstanding and connectivity seems to be robust between cameras and base unit, despite there being decent distance between components. Battery life seems to be good after a month of use and it seems that a single charge will last a while, despite moderate use. Two things to be consider: 1.) Turning on live view seems to take longer than competitors. A construction company is using a low budget competitor camera on our property and it is close to "instant on". It is missing several other features, so I still prefer this unit, but just something to be aware of and maybe it will get better with software updates. 2.) Software is great, but feels like it needs a little more flexibility on scheduling - would like to have 'per day' schedules that can be different and more profiles.

Works great and the hub seems to make things work faster. One weird thing these do once in a while is show the cameras all as offline on the app but still record motion and send notifications. It is weird. But easy to install, and haven’t had to charge these little cameras once since installing. I think they are all still around 50% almost 6 months later.

Prior to purchasing, I made sure to do research on different products and ultimately went with this model. I even purchased wifi mesh extenders so that I wouldn't have any connectivity issues as my home is large. The first issue I noticed was that one of the magnetic mounts wasn't going to work, it kept shifting the camera position so I had to purchase an adjustable Arlo mount ($20). The second issue I ran into was the battery life, I'm sorry, but it sucks! I saw all these YouTube videos saying that with the lowest camera settings and having it on a schedule for monitoring, the battery life could be as long as 3 weeks. I would like to know how?! I'm constantly having to charge them, 3 out of the 4 have to be charged at least once every week! I had to get an extension cord to be able have the charger reach. They really want you to buy those solar panel chargers, at $80 each, SMH! The most recent issue I'm having is with the Arlo Hub, I'm constantly having to restart it because the cameras stay having connection issues when trying to view them from my phone and I know it's not my internet. I mean at this point it is what it is. I just thought if I spent more money, the quality would follow. The whole point of purchasing these cameras was to feel a sense of security when not at home, but I don't know if I can even leave the home for a week without at least one of the cameras batteries going on 0%!

Great clarity. Did see issues connecting during the day. Pro side by side to pro 3. Pro connects without issues. Sees and captures more video. Pro3 does not record as many and does not trigger on all motion So maybe Arlo programming group will read this and send a firmware update Very close to returning units other than I can manually trigger and get a great video.

Bought these as a replacement to the other model I had. Those started acting up and these were offered in their place. Clearer pictures and better videos. Battery life seems to be running out fast though. Have to keep charging them every other week.

We had been looking at cameras for a while and I’m happy we came across Arlo. They are wireless so it gives you the option to place them anywhere you would like. We do have the eero so we are able to have a strong signal to all the cameras. The picture is clear and the app is easy to use too. We have noticed about a 3-5 second delay but overall, we are very happy with this system.

Great But Don't Like Gap Between Motion and Record

I love the ease of setup and installation but do not like the fact that (if camera is not directly plugged to power) there is a 3 second lag/gap between when it detects motion and when it starts recording. The app is great and the picture quality is great as well. If you plan to keep these cameras on all of the time/all day long then charging will become a chore.

Really loving these cameras. I can pop in at anytime, see and hear what is going on. We can talk to people thru them. Really great and very easy to install. I'm always worried when purchasing cameras that I will be comfortable with the functions when they are installed. These checked all the boxes! Great Find!!

Overall descent camera's. Major flaws for me is there is a delays from the time a person is seen on the camera's from when they are actually there. Battery life is TERRIBLE!! Had to invest in the solar panels and in the winter time no luck with them.

    Connectivity issues

I originally purchased the Arlo 2. I had no issues at all everything was great. Not so long after I purchased the 2, Best Buy had a sale For the Arlo 3. Because of such a great experience with the 2’s I upgraded. By far the worst decision.i connected the Arlo 3 in the same Brackets the Arlo 2 was in and for Some reason they are not connecting to the base. They continue to lose connection. Doesn’t make sense because they were in the same Location as the 2’s. For such a big price jump It’s not worth it at all. Horrible experience. I called Arlo and of course They are to blame it On your internet connection which is false Because the Arlo 3 is in the same Exactly Location the Arlo 2’s were in without any issues. Not worth 800.00. If you look at similar reviews other people complain about range as well

Think this is the best 4 camera system out there for the $. That being said, make sure you are AWARE that you need to WIRE the base unit. The rest is wireless through the base unit (not your wireless network). If the signal strength is NOT good enough to hit all the cameras, then you will need to purchase another base unit (wired) to extend the signal. You can also just extend the existing base unit to find a more central location. That's my tech advice :) Setup is really easy (the camera and getting it to all recognize) on the website / APP. Depending where you are planning on placing the rest of the items, that will require a little more effort. If going outside, and the camera will not see much activity, then consider using the Solar Panel as a power source. I do NOT recommend just swapping batteries if you value your video feed continuously, which is really what a security camera is all about. Some super points about this is that because it has a battery, when power goes out, it will remain on (assuming your network has battery backup, maybe something to consider). I have mine on battery backup (modem, wireless router, switch). I have setup about 3 of these now for clients as well as myself, and it is my goto security system. ENJOY!

These cameras are easy to setup, easy to use and such a great value for wireless security. I purchased some solar panels for them and it just became a set it and forget it deal. The subscription is ok but feel it can be quite expensive if you setup more than 2 cameras.

The camera covers a decent area, but hard to limit zones. The batteries don’t last too long, but easy to charge. Easy to set up and change settings through the app. If you’re looking for a no maintenance camera, get wired ones.

So far its ok. It tracks all movements according to my settings. But only problem was having it to stay on live on my devices but rather in the background to where it alerts me only. Each time it alerts me, I have to open the app to see the alert, sometimes it takes awhile to see the alert.....couple seconds before it shows up on my app. Battery charge takes about close to a week to recharge again which is a bit of fustration cause we have to take it down and recharge again. Maybe we should look into wire charge where it connects to an outlet so less stress in removing every week. It does storage my alerts for awhile too.
