This Arlo set up was highly recommended to me by a co-worker and it is exactly what was promised. Very easy set-up process and great monitoring ability. The cameras pick up on the smallest detail and animals. I would recommend this set-up to anyone.

Great quality cameras. Only thing is that if you don't get the subscription, you can only view the recorded videos when you are connected to your camera wifi router.

A pretty good home security system

I went with the Arlo because my current alarm system had to be replaced. The new alarm had a monthly monitoring fee of $65 which was pretty expensive. Once nice feature is that the alarm system had window sensors, movements sensors as well as being able to work even when the AC power was down. The Arlo is a decent surveillance system. With a large property, it was cheaper for me to buy two complete systems as I needed eight cameras. The cameras have a decent resolution (3K) but its range is pretty limited to about 20-30 feet as the sensor does not do so well after that, so i needed overlapping coverage. I still have to fine-tune the sensitivity as it keeps giving false alerts. When one camera is triggered, I can program to have adjacent cameras activate at the same time to observe the area. I can also have all the cameras turn on the sirens when one is triggered. Still, with eight sirens sounding off, the system is pretty soft. Recharging the batteries requires you to remove the camera from the mount so you can remove the battery from the camera housing. This means you have to realign the camera after recharging. The package comes with two magnetic and two flimsy screw in mounts, I ended up buying the optional Arlo mounts which are more substantial. Pros: * Compact, easy to install * Decent camera * Relatively cheap (bought eight camera system for $1100) Cons: * Each camera has its own siren which is pretty weak. I had to synch all the cameras to sound the alarm at once to get decent sound * Battery-based system which is supposed to good for 60-90 days between charges * External mounts sold separately at $15 each * Removing batteries to recharge requires you to readjust mounting of camera * Hard to adjust sensitivity, too many false alarms * Requires subscription to record videos online, $15/month * App design could be better, only allows one admin to be logged in at any time * While the cameras are battery powered, any power outage will take down the base unit which also requires internet access.

Nice camera. Easy set up. Should have included 4 sets of both different mounts. There is a little delay due to being connected to wify. Overall a nice system.

I am really impressed how easy to setup these were. Took less than 10 minutes to get my cameras up and running and get everything working. Recording and sound quality has been great and they’ve worked just as expected with my HomeKit setup. Highly recommend.

This is my second set of Arlo Camera's. I had the original Arlo set and I just felt it was time to upgrade to ones with spot lights, sound and speaking ability. I have had great luck with my Arlo equipment, and they are so easy to install and use.

Excellent field of view, the color night vision mode is amazing. Just keep the receiver away from your WiFi hotspot, otherwise you get reception problems. The battery life is outstanding, but checking your camera constantly will drain it faster.

Note that Arlo is just for cameras, but don’t bash them for it. They don’t claim to have a full inside alarm system. Their cameras are great though and have been a breeze setting up and getting things going!

I love this camera waaay better than the arlo pro 2, which never worked correctly. Crystal cleat, sound quality is nice. Also love the black, not so noticeable.

Impressive image quality while using auto zoom feature, maintained aspect ratio and definition. Very easy to export and archive footage. Install was simple after shutting off extra access points but was able to get everything working with multiple range extenders.

I did a lot of research and looked at hardwired solutions as well as wireless. I decided I didn't want to route cables all over the place so focused mostly on wireless. I wanted one where I can install my own hard drive and not be stuck with a cloud plan. This works. However, all the cool features only work with the cloud storage such as the activity zones and people/animal/car feature. Every/any movement that the camera sees will trigger an event to be recorded locally. Just means you'll have anything and everything. People have said that the batteries get drained fast. That's not my experience. So far so good. Glad I purchased this system. Oh year, you DON'T need the 4K cameras (pro4). The only advantage is you can wireless connect pro4 to your wifi. Quality/resolution is the same as pro3. Save your money and buy this one.

The cameras and battery life is impressive, and the image clarity and depth of field is great. The service is reasonable, and generally it's a great system. The app for iPhones/iPad, however, looks like a bad port of an Android app. It does not handle notifications well, does not allow rotating the phone to landscape mode. So I give the camera system 4 1/2 stars, but I give the app 1/2 star.

I have been using Arlo for home protection for well over 3 years now. I started with a Pro 2 setup and it worked flawlessly. When rearranging some things in my house, I broke the Ethernet port on my base station. I decided at that point I wanted a little upgrade. The Ultra is still kinda pricey, but the Pro 3 seemed like a better option. I had to do some intense network adjustments, but that was my own fault and not Arlo’s. Overall, the Pro 3 has been a pretty solid system. 4 stars instead of 5 because Arlo has kind of a slow load time to view your cameras live, but great otherwise.

I have the arlo pro 2 and just got this arlo pro 3 It only have one feature I wish it carried over from the arlo 2 and that is the magnet should be imbedded in the device like the 2 and not placed in the mount. over all it is a much better upgrade from 2
