Arlo cameras are excellent cameras for what they deliver. They have a lot of functionality and versatility for the settings. Set up is easy and the cameras are dependable. I will say that sometimes it can take a while for the recordings to download and play. That might be something to do with my network.

This is the second go around with Arlo, The first set i wound up returning to the store in 2018, The Alro Pro3 with the Solar panel charges are the way to go. changing batteries when they are mounted high is no fun in the winter time.

They are clear cameras with a wide view but the battery life sucks. I have to constantly recharge each one & the box only comes with 1 charger.

I had the Arlo Pro 2 system and thought the addition of a light would help deliver better night time video. It was better but the batteries didn't last nearly as long as our Arlo Pro 2s. Additionally, I was not aware the free 7 days of video storage we enjoyed with the Arlo Pro 2 system would not transfer to the Arlo Pro 3 system. Due to the cost of the storage and short battery life I returned the system within two weeks.

Overall a great camera for security. It does stink that you have to pay for 24/7 recording because of storage reasons. 4K video is quite a bit of storage especially for a 24/7 recording so I understand.

I had such high hopes for this system, and at first it started out well. Charging, setup, and beginning of use were all straight forward and fairly simple. The quality of the picture out of the cameras was great in the day, and decent at night. It impressed us so much that we went ahead and ordered the doorbell to complete our system. The problems started after 24 hours with the same cons you read about on other reviews. There were many bogus notifications with no video saved, and the videos that did save started skipping or corrupting so badly that they weren't useful if needed. Since it comes with the trial of their cloud system, I decided to set up zones and use the smart ID features to avoid alerts for things like my dogs in the back yard, the AC condenser fan turning on, and random auto traffic. NONE of that worked, I was still getting all the notifications, and videos skipping/corrupting kept getting worse, almost every video at this point. I tried several troubleshooting things listed on their forums, and my internet connection was full except for one camera being 1 bar down. Nothing we tried had any effect on fixing the problems so we waited until the doorbell arrived and packed the whole kit up for return.

Love these Arlo Cameras. They provide me with a little extra security to be able to see what is going on when I am not home. The rechargeable batteries usually last about 6 months. It depends on how much you tape or view the cameras. It only takes a few hours to charge them.

Of these cameras I can use it when I am on my phone or when I’m not home I can see what’s going on this is great to use especially if you just starting out with cameras or you don’t need that fancy but you know you have your fun to check everything out and everything is safe

Love these cameras. I especially love the base station because i can record locally and the cameras are not using wifi to transmit sensitive data. Had a few issues with the app and settings but Arlo support is extremely responsive and helpful

Camera is great. Only reason for 4 stars is because I chose next day home delivery and it took 4 days to get the item delivered. Had I known that I would have picked it up at the store.

This is an excellent multi camera, completely wireless camera system. Whats in the box: Hub (MUST connect directly to router), 2 cameras, 1 magnetic and 1 screw mount, charger. Setup: VERY easy. Connect the hub to power and your router via ethernet, download the app on your phone, put the batteries in the cameras and you're on your way. There are MANY settings for the cameras, which you can delve into later, as you can just power these babies on and watch away if you'd like. Picture quality: For battery powered cameras, it is quite amazing. Very good picture quality and excellent night vision. There is a built in spot light that allows for color night vision, though It is not very good for distance. A front door or gate camera though, this would be great. Stick to regular night vision for a driveway or yard for example. Features: These cameras record anytime there is motion, or you manually start a recording. They do not continuously record, which is expected for a battery powered camera. The motion detection is quite good. It can differentiate between people, animals, vehicles and more. In my experience so far, my driveway camera always detects regular motion, people, or vehicles...and it is spot on. You can set up activity zones, right in the app, to detect motion in certain areas as well. There is two way sound, they record audio, and you can press a button in the app to speak through a speaker in the camera. I haven't found a use for that yet though, but hearing sound when its recording has been handy. App: Many feature to choose from. Viewing videos that have been recorded is easy, and manually starting live view is very easy as well. You can change activity zones, motion notifications, night vision and spot light settings and much much more from the app. Very easy to use. Battery life: time will tell. I've been using them outside in 50ish degree weather for a few days, and they are at about 93%. They advertise around 6 months, but I'm not so sure. I'm glad they are rechargeable batteries now rather disposable. charging is easy, but you, obviously, have to take the camera down off the mount to charge. Depending on where you mount them, that could be a giant pain. You should though, think about that before you mount them, as it's not a secret that you'll need to charge them. Overall: Not as good as a hard wired always on CCTV camera, but its not meant to be. You can mount these in places that would be very difficult, if not impossible, with a wired camera. I have one down near my mail box, which would be impossible without dredging power and all sorts of stuff to it. The picture quality is great, and the range you get is typical of a wifi router.

I'm not sure what happened but it's harder to see night activity. Maybe the attempt to add color reduced quality of picture? Seems darker and takes more time to adjust than prior cameras.

This system was easy to use straight out of the box. The instructions were spot on with no thought needed. I had everything working in less than 10 minutes. The cost is great! The ease of use is amazing! The features are perfect. Everything seems to work better than I expected. Great product!!

Good quality, good price Only downside is you really need to setup the activity zone for the cameras or else you might get motion notification if the leaves blow around your yard.

We had the original Arlo cameras for years. This is an an awesome upgrade! We researched the difference between the 3 and 4 and this is much better with just as good of a quality. Watch the Arlo subscription as well. The 3’s are better for that as well. Would highly recommend!

This is an excellent option if anyone wants to improve home security. It operates on WiFi with good internet connection. Camera will not stop recording animal even though set not to. I will be glad to have the system when I have had and used it just a short time.

Easy to set up, simple to use app and clear directions. I use Apple HomeKit, the set up was a breeze, no I simply ask Siri to show me the driveway, and “tada!” I have a total of 5 cameras including 1 floodlight and I couldn’t be happier with how easy it all was.

Nice Video But Limits to Distance From Hub

This is our first security camera. The Pros are that it's wireless and easy to set up and install. The picture quality is good; not great. 3 of the 4 cameras connect easily. The Cons are it's wireless so it's limited in its range. The 4th camera covers our front yard, only 30 feet from the hub but needs to go through two walls. No connection. We installed an extended to amplify the signal and still not much better. I would recommend this system on the condition that you have a line of sight to each camera from the hub.
