Great Protection and Warning Alarm System

The setup of a four camera system took less than 15 minutes using the new router and 2 Arlo Pro 3 and 2 Arlo Pro2 cameras (my old system). Construction and design are both excellent. I like the include mounts and if needed additional mounting options that are available. NETGEAR is a solid name in networking and has been around for a long time. Resolution of the new 2K cameras is an improvement over the 1080p Pro 2 cameras. You can add additional sensors as needed. Can be used with desktop computers, Chromebooks etc. , macOS or Android devices through the well designed Arlo app or through the web interface. The audio alert is ear piercing – I MEAN LOUD! The cameras are easily concealed. The hub that ties every thing together offers multiple storage options along with 1 local USB ports. The cameras use rechargeable batteries that provide power for a long time before needing recharging. They are for indoor or outdoor compatible. The cameras are of a true wireless design. I did not experience any dropouts or glitches. This is a premium expandable system in all respects. The Arlo is a truly elegant solution to the security challenges of today. Clean video and wide angle coverage make this system viable for home / office – interior or exterior. Major differences Pro 3 vs Pro 2 Pro 3 Video Quality - 2K, Field of View - 160°, Night Vision - Color, Integrated Spotlight - Yes, Zoom - 12x, Noise Canceling - Audio Noise and Echo Cancellation, Siren - Built-in to camera, SmartHub/Base Station - Smarthub VS Pro 2 Video Quality - 1080p, Field of View - 130° vs, Night Vision - Black and White, Integrated Spotlight - No, Zoom - 8x, Noise Canceling Audio - No, Siren - In base Station, SmartHub/Base Station - Base Station Overall a great system!

Suck. I should have returned them while I had the chance, now I am stuck with expensive barely-serviceable devices. First off, once the free-trial for the cloud service wore off I thought I would just save locally to an external drive... whelp, that does not work for more than a few minutes per reboot and then everything is lost, again. Then, they changed the App, and holy cow let me tell you - it absolutely sucks. It is so bad, I don't even bother anymore. The only resolution, it appears, is to buy their cloud storage service, which I do not want. I can now ONLY live stream (with a delay), so no chance at catching trespassers and graffiti artists. Worst expensive mistake I ever made. Not kidding.

50% of the time, these cams recognize my cat as an animal. 30% of the time, these cams recognize my cat as a person. 20% of the time, these cams recognize my cat as a vehicle. Therefore, these cams give me 50% false positives, making them nearly useless.

Less reliable than the pro 2, have a mesh WiFi system in the house and cameras go offline throughout the night regularly... horrible service from arlo with the issue as they say the WiFi is the problem... I fully believe it’s the base station

The Arlo pro 3.2 security camera system would be a good system except the software is not very adaptable to remote review without a lot of other software to connect it to your network. Or you can pay a monthly fee to utilize the system.

It is terrible for live streaming unless you have at least 25 megabits per second of upload capacity and a very strong signal. Even when I was close to my router with the camera there was about a 45 second delay. Going to a wired system.

I spent $500.00 on two cameras and a base... What a waste of money. The system does not work. The base must be rebooted daily, the cameras take over 10 seconds to load when they work, and Netgear will probably say that it is an issue with my Network. The audio delay is just as bad and Netgear might as well just remove it. Netgear just indicates that it is an issue with my Network, but a competitor's video system works flawlessly on the same Network. Oh, and have fun with their IT Support. They will just close the case and let you know that the issue is your issue to resolve. I am one week past being able to return this. Their is a forum reviewing a Class Action Lawsuit.

    Terrific Security System; Great Features

This security system has so many great features: wireless, color night vision, 2K resolution & HDR, zoom-in on subject, integrated spotlight, 2-way audio, remote monitoring with e911 contact from the camera location. The setup & camera installation are very easy. It has it's own SmartHub node that plugs into your router and automatically connects to the cameras through the Arlo app that you download onto your phone. The app is user-friendly, clean and straight-forward, not complicated at all. The cameras are powered by replaceable rechargeable batteries that are easily recharged by removing the cameras from their mounts and attaching to the magnetic charger. One camera uses a powerful magnetic mount, the other uses a thumb screw, so they can be quickly dismounted when needing a charge. It's a very quick & simple process. The cameras have an optional zoom that can be turned on & off on the app. They have a spotlight that activates in the dark when motion is detected, that can also be turned off from the app if desired. Both cameras settings are controlled individually from the app. The notifications can be customized for each camera to include/exclude people, vehicles, animals, or all motion. The night vision performance of these cameras is awesome! I have the zoom turned on and it actively follows the subject through its full range of coverage. The resolution of the videos (both night and day) is outstanding - crisp, clear, high quality in full color. If you're going to buy a security system check this one out before you buy. I highly recommend it - it won't disappoint.

These cameras are horrible, so much lag from when there's a motion to when you actually receive the notification. I have the Ring system and that's so much better

    BAIT AND SWITCH!!

BAIT AND SWITCH!! I am returning this product. Support is useless, actually worse than useless because they're so uninformed and couldn't care at all about helping you; waste of time. But the dealbreaker is that Arlo now requires a subscription for the floodlights to go on, on the cameras when motion is detected. There are quite a few recent queries of why the floodlight won't go on. The reason, as pointed out by a very rudely worded and sardonic Community support superuser, is that a subscription is required. And yes, this is NOWHERE in any Arlo communications about the product.

I haven't got to the camera yet, but I am having a major issue with the mounting brackets. First of all, it comes with 2 different types; 2 magnetic which use a single screw and 2 of an outdoor (I guess) mount which takes 3 screws and anchors to mount. If a single screw can hold the heavier magnetic mount, then why do I need 3 heavier duty screws for the other mount? And why do all of the advertising pictures show the magnetic mount? And if I have to drill holes for the anchors, what size drill bit is required? Not called out anywhere. Not a good start to this experience.
