    The worst camera system we have ever used. It never loads love feed on the app, the system crashes all the time, you have to pay for everything, The CR has hours of missing gaps. I will never buy arlo products again. They have the worst customer service to!

    The main reason for buying arlo was for the 7 day free cloud storage, but for the arlo pro 3 you must have a subscription for the cloud storage. Only with an external storage you can access recordings but must be in the same network to view it. I found out after the free month trial and could not return it either, don’t get scammed and go for the pro 2.

      Here is a breakdown of the functions available without an Arlo Smart Subscription:
      1) Motion alerts - You will continue to receive simple alerts via push notifications and/or email notifications.
      2) Recordings - When synced to a compatible Arlo SmartHub, you can use local storage for recordings. Recordings will be saved up to 2K quality. Additionally, you can also view your recordings via the Arlo App when you have Direct Storage Access enabled: https://kb.arlo.com/000062337
      3) Device page in App loads with an image from the last detected motion event, instead of the most recent stream.

      Please note, Smart services such as e911, Package Detection, Smart Alerts and Cloud Recordings are only available with subscription.

    Overall, great security camera system. Easy to setup and link to the base station. Directions are pretty straight forward. I like the different options on the camera settings.. (motion for people, animals, automobile). The image quality is clear during the day and night, especially with the LED light built in. First thing I notice when setting up was the camera build quality. Its solid all around and has metal plates on the back to balance the camera when the battery is install. But one thing I dislike is you need a different cable to charge the camera/battery. Why not use micro USB or Type C ?? Just another cable I have to manage. This is why I can not give this item 5 stars. But would recommend this to a friend.

    Video and audio set at 100 % . you have to be within 10 ft before cameras picks up any sort of motion and even then cameras only record at best for about 15 seconds, overall video is poor. Audio at 100% sounds like your whispering. Was going to buy a few more cameras to add to this security system and I am glad I didn't

    Great When They Work

    They give a great picture and notification when they work. Ive had the issue where they keep saying offline though. Apparently you can't be too far from the base station so have to buy multiple base stations which is a bummer.

    App doesn't work right. Turns off alarm that status was " Armed" with out telling you. You thinking it's armed but it's not. App on phone could should show that alarm is "ON" or "Off" but it doesn't. Sometimes I have to log out and back in to get tab to turn on alarm.... Needs to fix bugs !!!!

    The Arlo system was easy to set up and activate with instructions provided. Good video quality. Only complaint is slight delay in onset of video recording with motion detection. Ideally should capture a couple seconds before activation.

    These were great at first but 9 months later they have stopped working. Customer support is so frustrating to work with, now i have 2 cameras that work and 2 cameras that wont connect. I started having issues with in the first 6 months

    pure junk and no customer service what so ever!!! we call so much and our issues they say are fixed and never are. Constantly calling and get NOWHERE. We have so much money invested in these. Everything is extra so beware.

    Comes with everything you need, including mounting hardware. Includes one magnetic base, and one outdoor security mount. If you’re upgrading from older cameras, the old magnetic base won’t work with the new camera, so you’ll have to mount the new base. The mag base mounting hardware does include a small spacer, which takes the guesswork out of how far to drive the screw into the wall. App immediately found the base & automatically upgraded the firmware before doing anything else. Setup was quite effortless and efficient. Camera batteries came partially charged, so you can get them setup & running right away if you want. The Pro 3 cameras have a much broader view than the Arlo Pro 2 that these replaced. The 2K picture is nice, but you can only see it from the app, which would more than likely be the small screen of your phone. Why they can’t/don’t enable viewing the 2K picture from a PC on your local network is a bit baffling. The Pro 3 cameras also come with a built in spotlight, which is required to see a color picture at night, but I’m not sure how often it’ll be used. If nothing else, perhaps the spotlight coming on may scare someone away. If the light doesn’t scare them away, the alarm built in to each camera should. I should also mention that you can pair older Arlo cameras with the Pro 3 base, so that’s a plus. One thing I don’t like, is they switched the charging connector for the camera from a micro-USB to a proprietary connector. The proprietary connector is easy to use, but now you can’t easily charge two cameras at once by using a spare micro-USB cable & charger that you probably have lying around anyway. Another thing I’m not fond of is that many of the ‘advanced’ features, such as activity zones, require you to purchase an ‘Arlo Smart’ plan at about $3/month/camera or $10/month for up to 10 cameras. $120 a year is a bit pricey, in my opinion. Ironically, given the much broader view of the new cameras, you’ll almost have to pay the extra $$ if you want to avoid the motion detection activating the cameras constantly. Overall, the installation flexibility, picture quality, and battery life are strong selling points. Nice camera system for the average homeowner.

    After researching the issue of the app not syncing with the base station, it appears that this is not an uncommon problem. Two hours on the phone with technical support and no resolution. Would not recommend this product. Will be returning for a refund. Very dissatisfied.
