I purchased my first Arlo security cameras four years ago and I was happy with my purchase, the cameras fit my needs. Then I graduated to Arlo Pro/Pro 2 and I was impressed with the video images and I liked the two way communication ability. I love the Arlo Pro 3! The images are sharp and clear - day or night. I'm very happy each camera now has a siren, it's far more effective at chasing off unwanted visitors.

The Arlo Pro 3 cameras have great reviews for a reason. The set up is effortless and the camera resolution is great. I am also pleased with the battery life so far. I had a solar panel hooked up to one of the harder to reach cameras and it is working seamlessly. The app could use some work to better set preferences and customization of settings in alerts for iPhone but that is my only complaint.

The battery life is nowhere near the 6 months advertised. But that’s really the only thing I don’t like about this setup. It’s easy to use, high quality, and expandable. And... I don’t have to pay any monthly fees for monitoring. Everything I wanted.

Easy to install, great options for alerts or live streaming. The clarity of the picture is outstanding. Had to buy an additional mount for outdoor viewing since there was only one magnetic and one screw in mount. Very pleased with the purchase. Arlo was recommended by a professional security camera installer as a good option for home protection. He was right on the money.

This system is easy to set up and awesome. The only thing that I have any difficulty with are motion outside the zones. It still alerts me even when the motion is outside of the zones. The app is easy to use and I love that it integrates with Google Home.

These cameras offer good quality pictures both inside & outside the home. One concern would be the battery life; only lasted 2 months & we didn’t have the running for long periods. Expensive for the product too.

I got the 4 camera Pro 3, and let me say, I have no regrets. These cameras are completely wireless, and have awesome video quality. The ability to talk is awesome! I bought this system just for added security, but it turns out its alot of fun as well! To see my dogs react to my voice, is priceless! I love this system and the cost compared to some others is unbeatable!!

I like the product; however, unless you have a hardwire you might have issues like a wireless 'fallout' on the connection or perhaps a satellite issue (though I cannot speak for that). Using my wireless I had to reconnect numerous times and the base station can be 'difficult' (connection recognition issues) and 'support' (during Covid?) can be a LONG wait, if ever. The system and cameras work well and the features are nice. Another concern, which I saw at a web page, online, is that there were (are?) some security issues which were (supposedly) patched. It IS made in China and the US government has stated a concern over technology products made in China as to 'being (possibly) in-secure; a 'back-door, etc. I would suggest changing passwords and making them very strong as well as 'digging' into your system to restrict incoming clients, etc.

Just replaced my Arlo Pro cameras with the Pro 3. Much faster response time, better resolution. Really love the tracking and auto zoom feature. Magnetic mount is better than the older style. With Arlo Smart it also tells who or what is in the field of view. Color night vision with spotlight is a big improvement. Magnetic charging is great feature.Very satisfied

I will start out this review by saying this is my 3rd set of Arlo cameras that I am using. I started using them way back in the beginning, then had a Arlo 2 set, and now I am trying out the Arlo 3 set. Right off the bat I will mention one thing that im not too happy about. In the past I was able to get cloud storage for my cameras for free. Now Arlo is starting to charge you a monthly service fee much like other companies have started to do. So if you're looking for a subscription fee free service, this is not for you. As with all of my other sets of Arlo cameras, these were very easy to get out of the box and get set up. Once you open the box you have the 2 cameras sitting right there with protective film over the lenses. Under that is a charging cable. Yes, you only get one charging cable for 2 cameras. There is also some screws to mount the camera mounts. Then under that is the base station, batteries, more cables, and mounts for the cameras. Getting it set up was really easy. You plug in the base station and connect it with an Ethernet cable to your router. While that is powering up, download the app to your phone. Then you can open the app and go through the steps to connect it to your hub. Mine went through a firmware update right after it connected to the hub too so I knew I had the latest software and firmware. Then you pop the battery in your camera, and then the hub will automatically find it and go through the setup process. This is even easier than previous Arlo versions. Then you just have to mount the cameras wherever you want to. I will try not to compare this to the Arlo 2, but there are some noticeable differences. First of all, charging the cameras. You dont have to plug in a cable anymore, its just a magnetic charging thing that goes on the bottom. Makes charging very easy! The cameras themselves also got a HUGE upgrade. They now have little LED spotlights on them which are very bright. The 2-way audio which was really crappy on previous versions now actually works pretty well. The field of view on the cameras is a little bit better. I believe its 160 degrees now. The cameras also have a built in siren. It wont alert the whole neighborhood that you have an intruder, but its loud enough that it might scare off a would be burglar. They also added a color night vision mode. It just looks a lot better and is much easier to see what it going on than the standard black and white camera. Now to get to the system itself. The video quality is 2k resolution. Not quite 4k, but better than 1080p. They claim the cameras have HDR, but the video looked a little drab to me. Could use some more color saturation or something. But it does work, and the quality of the video is very good both in the daytime and nighttime. I have never had a problem with the motion detection or anything like that, and these cameras arent any different. They very easily pick up any motion and immediately send an alert to your phone. The one problem I have always had with the Arlo system in general is the app. They have made improvements over the years, but it is still just very slow! When you get a notification there is no image or anything that comes along with it, so you have to open the Arlo app and then connect to your camera in order to see what is going on. I have used and do have other camera systems from competitors and they handle notifications SO much better. With one, you get a notification and it has like a little animated gif in the notifications bar so you can immediately see what is wrong. I would love to see Arlo do something like this, especially now that they are charging for their service. Opening the app and getting connected to the camera usually takes over 20 seconds, which is unacceptable to me. Not to mention there are many times when the app will completely freeze up my phone and I will have to restart my phone. I think they have amazing hardware that works very well and is very easy to set up. I think they really need to focus on making the app more user friendly and faster. When it comes to security or intruders trying to enter your home, you need to know about it as soon as possible, every second counts! It literally could be life or death based on the time it takes an app to load and connect to a camera. I would still recommend this camera system though because I know Arlo does listen to its users and does try to improve.
