Being a long-time, happy owner of the Arlo Pro 2, the Pro 3 is a solid update with some nice new features. Setup is easy using the Arlo smartphone app. Everything is very straight forward and I was able to get the cameras paired with the base station in about 5 minutes. In terms of mounting the cameras, the 2-camera system that I have comes with (1) magnetic mount and (1) screw-in mount. The screw in mount is nice to have in areas where the camera could be easily removed if it were to be within reach. The magnetic mount is very strong so there is little likelihood of it moving or dislodging due to high winds. I had no issues with the Pro 2 mounts having those mounted outside for about 2 years in an area with high winds. 2K HDR image quality - it produces a very nice image indoors, outdoors, as well as at night, however, the 1080p image quality from the Pro 2 is very sufficient, so I would not consider this as a reason to upgrade from the Pro 2. Color Night Vision - this is quite good, however. To be able to see in full color vs black and white at night was pretty compelling. 160 Viewing Angle - the Pro 3 comes with 3 different field of view options: Wide (160 degrees), Standard (125 degrees), and Full (110 degrees). What’s nice about having these 3 different options is that you can set these to wider or tighter coverage areas which can aid in having more pertinent motion alerts without having to set up activity zones. Integrated Spotlight - probably my favorite feature. Mounted at my front door, this provides not only illumination for other people coming to my front door, but also a nice motion-activated light for when I come home. Love this. Package Detection - worked perfectly. Audio - the speaker on the camera itself is quite good and loud when you speak through the smartphone app. However, the microphone on the camera seems to be a little less sensitive than what I would hope for, as the voices coming through the smartphone app were quieter than what I would like (although still discernible). Overall, a very nice update to the Pro 2 camera system if you’re looking for the more advanced features like package detection and the integrated spotlight.

Not as good as described. Fogs up and snow covers the lens. Wish I could return it.

They were great when new, but 2 of the four have lost their color image.

I bought this to replace a damaged Arlo Pro 2(house burnt down). I guess I didn't expect Arlo to stop providing 7 day icloud storage but on the Pro 3 if you want to view any video except a live feed you must pay for a monthly subscription. This makes the system completely useless unless you pay $9.99 a month. Sure it says "Motion detected" but you don't know if someone just kicked your door in and is now inside your home or if a squirrel just ran in front of your door. Sadly it gives you a 3 month trial of "smart plan" so by the time I realized there was no free storage it was to late to return this. I can only hope I find someone willing to buy this off of me for something close to the $650 I spent. Stay away from Arlo, even though the older models offer free storage it is only a matter of time till they kill that. They lost a customer that used to praise and recommend them, I liked my Arlo pro 2. Sad.

Camera recording and quality is ok, but support is terrible. I am five days into trying to get a problem fixed--agents, when I get through to them after 90 minutes plus, spend a great deal of time troubleshooting--then transfer me up to a level 2, who promise to call me back but never do. Still can't record on two of my cameras.

Don't waste your money. I purchased and was told I would have free cloud - not so..... Only 3 months worth and then you have to pay. They really are worthless. Most of the time they only record 10 secs. Also, I noticed that they do not always record visitors/cars in driveway. IE I went in my front door 5 times today bringing in groceries. Not one time did it record me walking from the driveway to the front door. It only recorded my car pulling into the driveway. This happens all the time. I'll have packages on the front steps and no notification from Arlo that anyone was here. Yesterday they came and delivered my riding lawnmower - lg truck arrived and stopped on street, unloaded the mower, drove it down my driveway, walked back to truck. Arlo recorded the truck pulling away from my house. Doesn't matter how quality, etc is, if it doesn't do it's job.......

Very difficult to set up. Gave up and returned the item.

Don’t waste your money they don’t stay connected and out of the four cameras none of them work anymore Arlo let me return only one camera and that’s the only camera working now. Even my solar panel I’m having to return because it quit working

Poor cameras! Don’t work in the cold and battery doesn’t hold a charge. Arlo won’t stand behind the product and Best Buy in store doesn’t offer any solution to a defective product after 2 1/2 months that they sell. Will never recommend to anyone!

Got these cameras for my home. Wasn’t all the great in quality wise as I expected.

Extremely misleading. Arlo 2, a cheaper camera has a 7 day rolling recording, but the Arlo 3, the newer and more expensive needs a subscription. Completely misleading as this is not visible nor known by the Best Buy associate I spoke to on the phone as they assured me that the subscription is only for the 30 day recording. I only learned the associate was incorrect after the 'trial' subscription expired. I am trying to exchange for the Arlo 2 or get my money back.

Very poorly packaged and returned to the store, The box with the cameras floated around in the shipping box and the shipping box looked as though someone had stepped on it with s boot. I talked to a coworker who also had one delivered to her in the mail and hers was also poorly packaged.

Arlo is supposed to be the best wireless camera. I have had several issues since day one. From leaking cameras that got water in them, 1 camera not working at all right out the box, had to get a replacement sent twice, the 1st one they sent me was the wrong camera. Their customer service is horrible!! Be prepared to get put on hold Atleast 5 times per call, and be on the phone Atleast 45 minutes minimum each time. Not only did I waste my money on the Arlo Pro 3 6 camera system that I can’t return to Best Buy for a refund, but I have hours if not days of my time wasted spent on the phone with Arlo. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON ARLO. BEST BUY NEEDS TO STOP SELLING ARLO

The setup of a four camera system took less than 15 minutes using the new router and 2 Arlo Pro 3 and 2 Arlo Pro2 cameras (my old system). Construction and design are both excellent. I like the include mounts and if needed additional mounting options that are available. NETGEAR is a solid name in networking and has been around for a long time. Resolution of the new 2K cameras is an improvement over the 1080p Pro 2 cameras. You can add additional sensors as needed. Can be used with desktop computers, Chromebooks etc. , macOS or Android devices through the well designed Arlo app or through the web interface. The audio alert is ear piercing – I MEAN LOUD! The cameras are easily concealed. The hub that ties every thing together offers multiple storage options along with 1 local USB ports. The cameras use rechargeable batteries that provide power for a long time before needing recharging. They are for indoor or outdoor compatible. The cameras are of a true wireless design. I did not experience any dropouts or glitches. This is a premium expandable system in all respects. The Arlo is a truly elegant solution to the security challenges of today. Clean video and wide angle coverage make this system viable for home / office – interior or exterior. Not what expected.. .... returned items to the store

Suck. I should have returned them while I had the chance, now I am stuck with expensive barely-serviceable devices. First off, once the free-trial for the cloud service wore off I thought I would just save locally to an external drive... whelp, that does not work for more than a few minutes per reboot and then everything is lost, again. Then, they changed the App, and holy cow let me tell you - it absolutely sucks. It is so bad, I don't even bother anymore. The only resolution, it appears, is to buy their cloud storage service, which I do not want. I can now ONLY live stream (with a delay), so no chance at catching trespassers and graffiti artists. Worst expensive mistake I ever made. Not kidding.

Angle to view is not wide enough, the 4 pro is much better.

The camera have good pictures,but every two days I had to place the battery’s on two of the six cameras.i tried all different settings nothing worked.too much money for a system that won’t last but two days
