    This is our newest addition & our 5th Arlo camera. All are working after several years of operation in all kinds of weather. This one was placed behind our house in a dark area and so far (luckily) we have only picked up pics of critters, no people. Keep safe & enjoy your life!

    It's probably convenient for some people that it has the battery option, however, for a spotlight, I wanted it hard wired. Also, most people already have one that they're replacing so they don't have to run wires. Yes, you can buy an power adapter but that really isn't the setup that most people have, which is usually a junction box. It's a shame that they didn't give a hard wire option like Ring / Nest do.

    While the premise of this device is good, there are SERIOUS security flaws with this device. A half brained baboon could push ONE button on the device (which points down by the way) and remove the entire camera assembly from its location within 2 seconds. For something that is supposed to help secure and protect you, this thing fails miserably!
