    Love the camera. Very disappointed that I needed to buy an additional $50 cord to be able to charge it outdoors. It’s an exterior camera. Why wouldn’t it come with an appropriate charging cord?

    Why does this come with a micro usb charging cord? It’s useless! This charges with Arlo’s magnetic charging cord that did not come with it! Frustrated! Haven’t used it yet to give better rating.

    It looked like a great idea, but mine must have been defective. I could not get the battery to charge properly & had to return this item, but the 2 single cameras that I purchased r fantastic.

    Be aware that you only get your videos on the app for a few months, then you have to pay a premium or you just have a pretty expensive floodlight.

    The battery only last about 7 days. We have turned ‘’everything’’ on low till it’s almost useless. Then found it shouldn’t be near where internet and all ‘’devices’’ are located! I need light/camera on corner of house where so dark and just happens inside that wall ALL my devices are connected and internet/modem..etc. What can I do???

    Didn’t really care for the added purchases we needed to make to make this camera functional for us. Ultimately went with google nest

    The camera was great until my subscription was up. Once it expires it will not record clips making the camera useless. DO NOT BUY. Go with another brand that doesn't blackball you into a subscription.

    Bright Floodlight, Good 2K Image

    The Arlo Pro 3 is a great camera and floodlight system. The 2K image is pretty crisp, and the field of view gets plenty wide at 160-degrees. The LED Floodlight is very bright, but only stays on for 10 seconds at a time unless it detects motion again. I tried changing the setting to 5, 10, 20 minutes, but the light never stayed on for that long before I had to wave my arms to activate the light. Unless it’s a user error, that’s probably my least favorite part of the system. Installation is pretty reasonable. All the screws and plates are included and the instructions are thorough. The app is needed for the setup process, as well as for the live camera feed if you wish to watch on mobile. The app’s interface is good and has a small learning curve. Used for a week and the battery is at 64% charge. Wire-free may be easier for setup, but the downfall is that I’ll have to periodically bring in the camera to charge the battery. The Arlo system comes with a proprietary charging adapter and cable. Many of my appliances are battery powered, so I’m not totally put off by batteries, it’s just part of the maintenance. The notification system was a little annoying at first. It gave me 9 notifications within 5 minutes because either I or my dog kept going back into frame. I understand why it does that based on motion, so it’s less annoying now that I know its patterns and I can just dismiss the notifications I don’t want. Overall the Arlo Pro 3 is a good quality camera for security purposes, and doubles as a floodlight which offers great lighting for the camera itself. I do like this product - I will definitely consider Arlo for any additional cameras needed.
