Sticking with Ring

My primary issue with the camera is the requirement of their subscription plan to record when triggered, even with local recording. If you do not want to be stuck paying for an expensive subscription plan, I recommend you look for other solutions. Also please note, unlike a regular floodlight, the automatic light duration is only as long as its recording setting (default is something like 5s). It does not remain on while there is still motion. I've gotten around this by setting it to the max recording length of 2 mins (even though there's no recording). This is overall a poor design and user experience.
