For a wireless camera does the job. Easy set up and placement. Overall not as good as a hard wired system but no wires. Battery life adequate if no continuous recording. Night vision function pretty good and HD quality video is overall adequate. The placement has to be adjusted to get motion sensor to work the way you want it too but I guess this probably the same with any motion sensor video system

Great picture and sound. Easy to use app. Easy set up. Battery life is great unless it is constantly recording. Am ising magnetic mount on covered porch and works great. Sensitivity is set to medium and a new set off motion recording. I have been unable to get push notifications but think it is a phone problem. My wife gets them and we have the same phone

I needed to purchase a surveillance system after my home got broke into. After talking with geek squad I decided to go with the Arlo system for a couple of reasons. One I wanted a system that would alert me when there was movement in a couple of key areas around my home (my front gate, my driveway, my front door and back patio area). The information at the store specifically showed a video of an alert when the camera was activated by the movement. The fact that any time someone approaches my gate or door it sends me an alert to my phone is great. Now I can get an alert while I'm gone and not worry about what I might come home to or better yet what my wife might come home to. The second reason why Arlo was the system to go to for me was because it was wireless. My front gate is approximately 100-120 feet from my home. The geek squad member was skeptical the camera would communicate with the receiver from that distance, but even if it didn't work I could use the system in other areas around my house so I gave it a try. When I got home I opened the package and put up the brackets so I could mount the cameras as soon as possible. While I was mounting the brackets, not even 10 minutes, my wife already had the receiver set up to wifi, the app downloaded and the cameras connected. Just to be upfront, one out of the four cameras needed to be charged before it would connect to the receiver. So within 20 minutes of arriving home and opening the box I had surveillance. Third to top it off, all your recordings are saved on your app for 7 days so if you find out you have a problem then you can easily go back and review the footage. The battery life is way better than I expected and better than geek squad advertised to me. My gate camera goes off around 80-100 times a day and the battery lasted just over two months. If I can only change the battery 6 times a year on my most active camera then that's way better than running cords to cameras everywhere. This is a great system and I'm probably only using half of what it could offer.

Great camera and very easy to use. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 stat is because there is no way to turn the notifications off on my phone unless I turn the camera off. Or at lest I didn't figure it out. Set up was super easy. Battery lasts a very long time!

Got this system because we didn't want to deal with wires. System is working well for live and motion activated recording. Some points that could be improved: 1 - speaker feature which allows you to talk to people is not very useful unless you have the camera right at the door you want to protect. If you place your camera a bit away to get a surround view or to simply just eliminate camera theft (it's attached by a magnet anyone within reach can just take it..) then you need to YELL for the speaker to be heard and the person outside also has to YELL. 2 - Siren feature is nice if a person is already in the house to try and scare him/her. Would be nicer if siren sound was coming from the cameras so you could activate it BEFORE the intruder enters.... Siren is not loud enough to be heard outdoors even if it is placed by a window or door... 3 - Night vision is useless unless there is some light reflected in the direction the cameras are pointing. If there is some street light in the area and you are pointing the camera in that general direction, night vision is very good. Otherwise pitch black. 4 - had some issues with the system with camera not working and home base not working after a few days of use. Tech support was very courteous but did not resolve the issues as it seemed we got a defective system. Replaced at Best Buy and so far so good (1+ week).

I purchased this as we keep missing deliveries at the door and usually get a call from the front door if we've got mates waiting. I found this as a great hybrid to show who's there, record a video, ping our devices and also have voice feedback to ask them to wait. There is a slight lag to flick on live feed but it's definitely solved for the need that I had. Great battery life too.

One of the easiest surveillance cameras to setup. Very cool design. WiFi range is decent. Comes with 1 week worth of cloud storage for videos recorder. Can be set to sound an alarm automatically or manually. It also sends notifications or even emails via sound or motion sensor. The capability to send your voice to a camera is an awesome feature. Here is a list of features I wish this system had. 1) A matte black stealthier version would be better than just White. I've seen the optional skins available, but that is extra. 2) Ability to Pan and Zoom would be great. Currently, the design has a fixed lens and there is no optional mount that would allow panning. 3) The half moon mount that comes with each camera has limited angle range. 4) Live view is not live. It's delayed by about 8 seconds. 5) Motion activated recording is likewise delayed by a couple of seconds. 6) Recording stops even though I set it to go on when it detects continuous motion. This may be a software bug or the motion sensor has an issue. 7) Image quality could be clearer. Given that the resolution was set to 1080P. Zooming into a video of person's face was fuzzy. 8) No SD or Micro SD card for your own video storage. 9) I wish it can be tied up to Apple's Home app, so I can change settings via voice commands like I do with my Phillips Hue.

The picture is good and I like being able to hear what is going on too. There is a delay so placement is important. I focused on our driveway, its long and if someone comes in fast it doesn't pick it up until all you see is the back quarter of the car. No people, or plate. I see great when they back up, I will be adjusting the location of the camera but quality is good!

Overall I like the Arlo Pro camera system, now that it is setup and functioning properly. I did have some challenges during the setup process. To the point, after many hours of tech support (some on Arlo, some with ISP) turns out my ISP (GVTC) uses NAT and of course my local network uses NAT - so I ended up with a double NAT which ARLO system will not work. The Arlo Setup application cannot communicate to the cameras due to the double NAT. There are of plenty of discussions on double NAT on the net if you want to learn more about it. Anyway, my solution was to get a Static IP from my ISP. Once I had that, then the ARLO system was a breeze to setup and configure and run. A Static IP from ISP runs $15/month which stinks but solves the problem. I did consider buying the 6 camera system but what they don't tell you is that you can only have 5 cameras on the "Free" cloud storage service. That is a little mis-leading IMO. To have 6 cameras you will need to buy at least the $99 cloud service from NetGear. Since I bought this 3 weeks ago, the ARLO Pro 2 camera has come out, basically a 1080P upgrade. I am tempted to get one and try it out and expand to 5 cameras. The battery life so far has been good - 3 weeks running and cameras are in the mid 80% range. I will most likely buy a couple extra batteries and a double charger and swap batteries out as needed.

Arlo Pro is much better than the first generation. Worth the extra cost because of the rechargeable battery that has a much longer life between recharges. I would say that if it is put in a high traffic location, the battery does drain faster but it is still significantly better than the first generation. The video quality is very good and the field of view is better than gen1. I would not drain the battery past 70% as it may impede the ability of the battery to fully charge.

Arlo Pro offers an alternative to high cost commercial security systems. The system is wireless, easy to install and efficient. The camera quality is as good as it gets as well as audio recording sensitivity. We have had the Arlo system for nearly a year with only one glitch that Arlo reps walked us through with complete resolution. We are not techno-savvy and we're reluctant to pursue a complex system. Arlo provided a user friendly platform that we now couldn't live without.

Arlo pro cameras are easy to set up, easy to operate, have great video and audio, and so far seem to have very good battery life. They are very sensitive to movement and sound, plus, you can control both using the arlo app: which is easy to use also.

This is a really good wireless security camera system. I can access the system from anywhere as long as I have a mobile signal. The video is crystal clear and battery life is sufficient. There are features relating to motion detection and alert preferences. Good for baby monitor, nanny cam, and home security. Would give 5 stars but it is a bit pricey!!!!

So first off let me say how easy installation was! We really liked that. No cords or drilling holes on the house. It has a good clear picture. Now it only records 10 seconds of motion- that being said if someone walks up to my house I'd want the camera to catch it all not just 10 seconds so I can really see what they are doing.... Second the delay before I can speak to the person on standing outside my camera annoys me. I don't want to wait 3minutes for it to stop lagging. By then the person who I wanted to speak to would already be gone possibly. Overall I like this product but it definitely can use some improvements to make it that much more better.

I read the reviews and went on YouTube to see which camera would be easy to use, setup and have nice results. The Arlo pro HD always popped up in the reviews as being one of the best wireless security cameras out on the market. I was able to set them up, sync to my iPhone and put the first camera up within 20 minutes. The footage is clear. It has 110 degree view. You can sign up for premium account to keep your footage for 30 days. This was so easy!

I first bought 1 camera and 1 base station in February. I fell in love with this cameras and recommedn them to many friends. I just bought the 4 more to keep every corner covered. Excellent battery life, easy to use, good App, loud siren, nice angles, night vision. Everything is perfect. I wanted to buy the Arlo Pro 2 in order to record 24/7 but i will wait a bit more until the price gets a bit more affordable, but arlo pro are still a very good deal
